- Video made by Jonathan Dearth - an interview of Jonny Oates who as a candidate in the University of Exeter Guild of Student election for President in February 1990. Most interestingly it feature Thom Yorke, who comes along during the interview and plays his guitar. He improvises a song which I've named "Talking About Bignell". It's a bit too long but of interest, if you remember the people and the time - or if you're fanatical about Thom and Radiohead - as it's new music.... though 30 years after it was recorded.
"Thom just, just be quiet"
"Oh fuck off!"
just thom being thom
I wonder what the ratio of laughter to cringe would be if Thom sees this.
Kinda strange seeing Thom this young
Imagine telling Thom Yorke to keep it down.
Thom was a baby and was already gifted and cool!!
they released some EP under On A Friday name at that year! (1990)
Thom the attention seeker. Love it.
2:41 This is the last known instance of anyone saying that.
'Talking About Bignell'.. The ultimate obscure fan favourite..

Radiohead's growth with each passing year throughout the 90s was fucking phenomenal, and this is where it all started...
Love how thom is the loudest one in the room
Oh my heart just melted. He’s so cute!
this is so weird. I was a student at Exeter at that time and new Thom well
Are you in touch with Thom at all? I last met up with him in 1993 - keen to try and get this video to him.
Please tell us more about a young Thom bavk that time ??🙏🏻😃
Jonathan Dearth how cool !! 😃
"Thom! Just be quieter!"
"Ahh Fuck Off!"
Yeah! Fuck off!!
omg hahahh he was this kind of kid... reminds me of so many from my school who NEVER stop playing and when noted about it they'll get all offended loll.... they feel the need to show off their skills at all times so that they'll maximize the amount of people aware of them... a good tactic of getting into bands and circles. i'd have a hard time concentrating too. and that hair!!! i would have crushed so hard on him
Thom Yorke plays guitar at you
I didn't realize thom was singing a little. I thought he was just playing the guitar
That's me in the back
thanx for sharing. something surfacing from the ocean of time, really.
Dang already I'm seeing Stanley Donwood in the background. I think it's the one Thom used on the cover of 'the Eraser'.
@@stitchgrimly6167oh sweet I'm not necroing if I reply. They're radio wave pulses from a pulsar, unknown pleasures was 197*9* and the poster in the vid is actually a different piece made by a man known only as "Dr. Tchock." hope this helps
Amazing relic, and I think Thom might be riffing on “Fools Gold” by the Stone Roses.
