F1 in America will never be the same again. Thank you Leigh, David, Steve and Will (also Bob, Peter, Derek and Sam) for two decades of tremendous coverage on NBC and SPEED.

NBC did an incredible job covering Formula One over these last 5 years. ESPN will not come anywhere close to what NBC has been able to do. I will miss hearing Leigh, David, Steve and Will every race weekend.

It was a tragedy when NBC lost F1. They probably broadcast a sport better than anyone. Those guys explained and helped you understand Formula 1 without making you feel like a noob or an idiot. I was one of those noobs. They helped me understand the sport that my dad got me interested in. Will Buxton was the best sideline/pit reporter in any sport, ever. His passion and friendship with the drivers got you close. ESPN and Sky Sports are a joke compared to Leigh, Steve, Hobbo, and Will.

Hopefully when the current rights are up in 2023, NBC will come back to F1 or CBS will get the rights. CBS is reestablishing itself when it comes to motorsports as they have Formula E and are broadcasting the new SRX series that begins this summer not to mention they are likely to reaquire NASCAR in some form when the current deal ends in 2024. Fox the people that used to own SPEED that had the F1 rights before NBC are out of the picture when it comes to F1 because they have greatly reduced their presence in motorsports in recent years having lost IMSA and Supercross and likely to lose the NHRA at the end of this season. Their NASCAR coverage has also been greatly reduced in recent years as well.

I just wish that the F1 social media team would pay their respects to these guys every now and then with a post or video of some of their old highlights. It feels like after F1 left NBC these three were just scrubbed from the history books. I feel like they deserved better than that!

I’m grateful for the ESPN/Sky Sports coverage from 2018-Present, but I’m so grateful NBC covered F1 in America. We never forgot them!

Loved it, but come on guys?, the privilege to drink from shoe has to be from the sweaty casting shoe! Even today with the other NBC team, Leigh for me as a fellow Aussie Queenslander caster is my inspirational mentor. I'm working my butt of casting 6-8 hrs a day to achieve what you already have mate! That's the Aussie grit and grind.

This SUCKS!!! I just got into F1 this year, at Montreal (at 39 years old) and I've been completely obsessed with every aspect of it. I can't believe I just came in at the end of this crew. ESPN is TERRIBLE with everything they do. They ruin everything! NBC sports F1 coverage, to me, was flawless. Well, I'm absolutely hooked for life now on F1 thanks to this crew.

Brett Miller ESPN’s first race was a disaster. I don’t understand why they didn’t hire the old NBC/FOX gang that has been together for the better part of the last decade. As much as I enjoy Sky Sports’ broadcast, the disrespect given to it by ESPN is infuriating.
