I wouldn’t be too concerned about sharing some negative thoughts throughout this video; it’s clearly just C’Thun’s whispers getting to you on the day of this recording
I forgot they said it'd be "the best year for wild" Over promise, under deliver. If this is the best year and the future's only downhill, then we're heading down into the ocean.
I don't like infinite Ice Blocks just like everyone else but I genuinely hate that they did that to Shadowform. It's stupid and I don't want more of that nonsense.
In the context of caverns of time, i say they were some good changes for wild (like acidmaw and enter the colosseum which were unplayble prior) and I also appreciate buffs to some fan favorites (like cthun) making it go from tier 10 to tier 7 for rank floor fun purposes, but overall yeah some of the changes were baffling (like buff to cards like tiny knight, crystal runner, shadow bomber, spawn of shadows, etc). It doubly hurt when it was advertised as wild update.
Normally I'm more of a silent watcher, but I really like hearing your takes on games, especially Hearthstone cause that's most of what I watch of yours. Even if they're more on the "ranty" side, I find them to be really insightful.
"i just ignore people who talk like reddit" is so true, based, words to live by, etc LOL aside, big fan of ur content and style of like . audiovisual hearthstone asmr + nuanced card game takes , but this quote def made me comment on that in particular, lol.
31:10 I swear having one gadgetzan street trickster and another from caverns of time in my collection and they not stacking when I put them in a deck and just showing up on top of one another gets me unreasonably upset with the collection manager
What if they said twice per game? Or maybe 10 times per game? As for caverns of time, it did add one card that was kinda cool which was Soridormi the dormant 5 mana 8/8 that reduces the cost of dragons by 4. I wanted more cards like it something that makes the iconic cards such as dragons somewhat playable in an eternal format.
Do you think Libram Paladin will get nerfed? I hate playing against that deck in Wild and there is little to no counter. Any minion left of the board hits you for +6/+6 every turn for free. Its so annoying. Any decks that counter it?
@@Kirbylover6969 I play libram paladin and it absolutely shits on kingsbane rogue. Shadow priest and hostage mage are the worst matchups, especially the first one
completely agree with the marvel snap comments, loved playing it but the grind required to keep up with the new releases was (and appears to still be) untenable, and it's pretty hard (impossible, I'd say) to justify buying digital cards with actual money knowing they'll be nerfed within a month or so
2nd copy of ice block would be bad if it had the once per game text, 2nd copy of dynomancy is also pointless. But yeah, it would be strange to have "once per game" on a secret.
What if ice block turned into “when you take fatal damage if you weren’t honorably killed become immune for the rest of the turn” so it still works a good amount of the time but not infinitely if you can honorably kill them?
What if we limited ice block to only once per turn? Also if you are still taking deck suggestions - how about odd mage? Would love to see if baku is playable in 2025. :)
I'd just make it so ice block's mana cost increases by 1 everytime you play one, eventually you won't be able to discover it and play it in the same turn.
Would changing Romnath to "that wasn't included in your deck" be a good change? So he won't cast spell copies that included in deckbuilding. For Example: If you have an Ice Block in your deck, he won't recast it even if you generate one because it's a card you included in your starting deck. From my perspective, Romnath is the problem and not Ice Block, because of the infinite value he creates with little counter play, while ice block by itself with other cards has limited generation. This change also doesn't break the potion of illusion and Lightshow wincon with E.T.C. because no reasonable player would put Ice Block ONLY in E.T.C. ... Right? ... I feel like there's better wording for what Romnath can say to better articulate the mechanic because I like hostage mage as a deck but it needs to be toned down to let other decks at least have a chance against it and I believe Romnath is the card that needs to be changed to make the deck more fragile while still having its wincon still there with Romnath.
If you change Rommath, something else will break Ice Block later. It's the same reason Time Warp was consistently broken until they changed it. Might as well fix the problem card rather than the enablers.
@ that was like 7 years ago. Times change and the game isn’t as slow as it was in 2017-18. The issue arises when the ice block becomes infinite, not its whole existence.
@Castoma Yeah, exactly. If you nerf Rommath, then the next card that makes Ice Block go infinite will just break it all over again and we'll be back to square one.
I saw this video and thought "Oh, that must be Twist", and it's Wild lol. Truly a deck of all time we have here.
This needs to stay the top comment. I thought the same thing.

They can’t change ice block to once per game because every time they try it just ice blocks.

If this is the best year and the future's only downhill, then we're heading down into the ocean.
mind you, Voyage to the Sunken City released in 2022, so we've been at the bottom for a long time 💀
The 2 mana secret passage still sickens me
Regarding ice block, there’s precedence to making a second copy of an epic card useless in a deck in the change they made to Shadowform
Good point
I don't like infinite Ice Blocks just like everyone else but I genuinely hate that they did that to Shadowform. It's stupid and I don't want more of that nonsense.
They should unnerf Shadowform

C'Thun decks will always be my all-time favorite decks. They just don't print cards like they used to
Twist should have been the mode where the power level allows for more silly decks.
I had no clue about the CoT version redundancies

i saw this video and thought for a moment "is this a reno rogue??" but nah, this is 7th day of asking for reno rogue.
I just logged back into HS, dusted my collection to craft this deck in gold and am ready to let the good times roll. Buu Dust Bait don’t fail me now 🙏

Yeah that too, its so weird. Its really funny that the crops on the picture look different sometimes too.
I would love for iceblock to make you take more and more damage each time you play a new one. It would require more set up to make them work
1 hour of cthun rogué? Im in!
C'Thun rogue, the best rogue deck with C'Thun in it
Arguably you could run a meta deck with cthun in it and just deal with the variance and - yeah whatever cthun rogue is the best cthun rogue

just remove ice block from generation and discover pools? or just generation?

Kingsbane Rogue
@@Kirbylover6969 I play libram paladin and it absolutely shits on kingsbane rogue. Shadow priest and hostage mage are the worst matchups, especially the first one
For ice block just give it you can only play it if it started in your deck.
You’d have to make it so it can’t be generated then.
Rogue song can't be generated, so why mage card can?
Maybe Ice block can't proc two turns in a row, like in WoW where you get a debuff for casting it
Not only is this deck not a stinker we got a one hour video out of it. There are only Ws

I've never won either, since I haven't played the deck, but I don't think that's relevant

Unless I’m interpreting it incorrectly, can’t you only cast ice block once a turn already?
