A Washington penny? Lol! I still call Roosevelt dimes Eisenhower dimes out of bad habit starting when I was a kid. Anyhow great video. I like the story telling based on your finds. Hope you saved something for Sean this time!!! Haha. Great spot
I think that piece of iron you find was a wedge for attaching things like sledgehammer heads or pickaxe heads to a handle. I'm from Armstrong Co. So I enjoy watching your videos
Take a gold pan and pan out the dirt where you found the jewelry if the stones are missing. That gives you a good chance to find them, especially on rings.
So far, we know the man was a miner, the wife may have been Scottish, and there was a boy child. I looked at PA census and learned that the man's occupation may have been noted. Also saw that there were mining accidents. The WWII may have claimed the man's life. Such a beautiful site! Often wonder if you might come up on a grave site. Be safe out there.😊
Wow! Great thoughts! We had another person comment it’s possible the family farm didn’t make it through the Great Depression. All are definitely possibilities. Thank you as always for great comments!
Great video. Been following you for a while now. I lived in PA for 12 years long ago and never detected. (I now regret it.) You guys ever run across any copperheads? I saw a few while fishing for trout in the rivers and creeks. Keep up the great vids!
Thank you, Shawn & Jerry!!! 💖💖I love your story telling, Shawn, is that already written, or do you write it yourself? Nice hunt Jerry, I felt like I was there & I wish I was!!! That G Man pin is awesome!!! I wanted a war nickel, but a buff is always nice!
Very likely an undisturbed home site. A victim of the depression or possibly a death? No doubt a miner, I think the pick is an excellent find. Even if it is a chunk of iron.
Another great video you all have the best videos on RUclips keep up the amazing work, great finds stay safe out there and lots of love from West Virginia ❤️🙂
Wow what a awesome finds at that location!@I love and Enjoy each video to dig up the past and the story . Awesome videos thanks for sharing and Caring for the people who lived and worked there. PS All miners use to put there items in a tin and put them in a hole so they knew where there items would be.. Love ya your friend Barbara NWP, FLPs look at that knife again take a photo it should be able to tell ya what year or make?
The chain looks like a sash chain for a window weight?
I love your site
It’s possible!
Down here in Australia that chain could have been off an old laundry plug or for the overhead water container for an old flush toilet.
I can see that. Very possible here too

Old jewelry is great to find
I use a wood grass whip in areas with high weeds. It's hard work, but it gives an opportunity to hit sites in the summer. Love your videos.
Awesome finds. 💖💯
New sub!! Great hunt, great finds!! I collect old knives, your knife looks turn of the centry to 1940ish. Thanks for your time!!
Thanks Eric. Glad to have you here.
