That's actually amazing
would be cheaper is they use a small and long ips screen on the blade instead of fucking micro led...anyway for 3d i assume each blade send a different image for the effect
I've got to say, I'm a really big fan
ha
Pun intended?
what a fanboi
Su 47 your a god
jeepers creepers you're ffffffssssssss
One of those “if I’m rich this is a useless thing I’ll buy” sort of things. Fucking awesome.
This is for concerts and shows
Can be used as advertising.
João Ribeiro useless for me, I mean. I can definitely see some cool commercial application for it! One step closer to a Bladerunner future
MediumRegular IceCoffee Exactly :)
I don't know, but if you were a graphic artist and had to design a new logo for some big ass company, the pitch would be a lot more exciting with these fans.
speaking of seamless
Noah 🙂
Massdrop!
best transition yet
If only the sponsor spot was Synergy2 then.
Pause! Exits video lol
a display which never gets hot
almost like the man
Fans not hot
i hate you all
Dushyanth Kandiah **Never hot**
MEME GOD said the meme god
Yeah, I want a 4K fan now
What a coincidence, that's about what it'll cost you as well. :P
@@WingofTech lmaooo
If they foubd ways to get them to become cheaper these could make TVs and monitors history
Right now even price with the VGA resolution is still insane. Let alone 4k
So far this is the COOOLEST thing they have shown at CES this year. Wait that car is pretty cool too.
Okay, this is pretty sick. I'll be excited to see this at events and such.
fart
@@piecrumbs9951 fart = speed
Imagine how awesome it’d look if they were Noctua fans.
they would look like turd colored fans
lol
I legit was expecting that, a wall of plane RGB Noctua fans and now i feel really dumb
Come on, the noctua fans look perfect on a 80's vacuum cleaner themed desktop.
Suuuper COOL
Anyone else get a “Bladerunner” vibe from this
mass effect
Fan blade runner
The pun I didn’t expect (fan intended)
They should literally call this the BLADE runner :)
BLADERUNNER HERE WE COME BRO
Exactly what I was thinking too.
Yepp was just saying it to a friend
Was gonna say this.
Don't you mean BLADESPINNING?
Question - do i have to watch the first one to understand the new one?
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I actually got chills down my spine.
Looks so cool. Everything at CES makes me realize how poor I am.
Hahaha fucking loser. Got money much? Lol.
Prototype Gaming Get a job u fat fuck
You pair arw real dicks.
Hey, the really awesome, out of reach stuff of today becomes the boring, everyday stuff of tomorrow. Just let the really rich guys play with and test it first, like VCRs, DVD, Blu-Ray, HD TV, etc.
You're not poor just because you don't have $50,000 to drop on fans, man...
as someone who once worked, (and hopes to get back into it) in live music production, design and operation....this thing is effing amazing! a must have in the future of live music visual production!
Honestly, that's the coolest thing I've seen from CES this year. It reminds me of 3D holograms from movies and games.
Its like Freaking Star Wars!! I cant wait to see what the future holds.
this is by far the best tech i've seen this CES2018 over my LCD SCREEN
Outstanding
u mean like fan-tastic?
Geronimo!!!!!!!!!!!! Into the world of spectacular
Ehh not really they stole my idea i made 10 years ago
YOU ARE A RAIDER!LEGENDARY!
Ardrey fuck you
Your eyes would get dry so fast
Unless they are blowing air in the opposite direction
They dont blow air at all. Thats why they make nearly 0 noice.
They are thin, flat blades. They displace very little air.
"Don't stay in front of the screen too much." "Shit what screen, those are fans" "What in the fuck"
DarkMesa The fans have pixels on them XD
Linus you have so many FANS
Calvin i see what you did there 😂
the future is now, old man
i second that, i mean, fucking fans? we should have real holograms by now wtf is the hold up
@@nandobravo5709 You dumb ? Real hologramms are impossible
Does no one get the reference?
@@mfp5431
What? Real 3D holograms are here tho. Just pricy and not _that_ good
3D porn just got a little dangerous
Instructions too clear, got my dick stuck in the fan....
Rofl
definitely no inserting atm
Sperm may hit the Fan
Mmmm 3D pussy 😋 lol
this is one of the coolest things ive seen come out of ces this year (well from what ive seen on youtube}
I am disappointed. I was hoping for something like 2073600 normal RGB case fans making up a 1920x1080 display.
aMondia same
yeah, and i actually have seen this before i think someone has made a DIY kit with this.
aMondia Same lol
Power consumption - 20kW
+Democritus86 ...You've seen someone make an array of 2 million RGB fans before? I'd like to see this because I doubt there's even a single individual out there (companies and corporations don't count) who even bought 2 million fans, let alone set them all up together, lol... If you have a link, that'd be really nice ;)
That looks stunning. Even on my phone. It looks better on my phone, than any 3d movie has looked on my 3d tv or even 3d cinema. Mental.
Is it a touch screen?
Yes, but you touch it only once.
I dare you to touch it
Yeah 100% AAAH
it's a windscreen. yes pun intended
@midaspl once? i have 10 fingers
This probably looks normal in 2050
Minus the cyclone blowing in your face I'm assuming. xD
2025 - 2030 imo
PSHH You need FANS to display your holograms? You haven't gotten the new magnetic cold fusion plasma generator? Positively pedestrian!
The point is that stuff gets cheaper over time.
WingofTech it can’t blow air
I will have “this video at CES 2018 is brought to you by...” stuck in my head for the rest of the week
김민혁 what... no
It kind of reminds me of those really old mechanical televisions they would show before CRTs became a thing. Those old televisions would use a large disk with holes and a light source in the back, but this one puts the light on the fan, giving a much brighter and more clear image. It's impressive and I'm glad computers have finally caught up with this concept. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I'd imagine these will become a lot cheaper once the computers powering them do, and once third parties start to latch on.
If this is how ads will look in the future, sign me up!
Finally, a Fan proper for that slew of 2017 Glass/acrylic front panel case fans and would look totally awesome, if you can afford it...
*Looks in description*
*Sees “Only $200”*
Me: oh
Nevada $200 more than I can afford :/
the fan is 3k
if you're talking about the headphone, buy a cheaper pair unless you're into semi-professional studio things...
oh my
Nevada 200 I cheap tbh I seen jobs that pay 1,250$
This will be game changing for festivals
what the hell this is future holograms amazing
just dont try to touch it :D
Probably the best thing I've seen from CES so far
i feel like someones gonna get their hands chopped from the fan as u can't see it in the dark
That would finally teach people not to touch the screen when pointing at things.
When I'm around things that can hurt me (like fan blades, drive belts, chains, gears, pulleys) I stay safe and think of where I'm putting my fingers / clothing. Don't think about your actions, suffer the consequences. Those people shouldn't spoil another good technology.
Simple way to really up the image quality would be to have the black backdrop in front of the cage like frame, with ONLY the blades in front of the black backdrop. You could space them any distance you'd like away from said backdrop with various length, or even telescoping rods... They could all adjust at the push of a button even. But then the entirety of the cage or frame would be hidden away, with only vivid colors over a black backdrop being seen. Would probably go a long way with this already amazing product.
Im witnessing the future!!
I saw a live demo of this at my company, and honestly videos don't do it justice. It's incredible in person!
the future is now
Armen Manukyan SNK
Armen Manukyan and no that's in the past
CR S but we're they 4k rgb lighted fans
Old man
really.. last 10 years has really exploded
It freaking blew my mind. This is truely amazing.
hi,do you want develop this item in your country,we can help.
Personally I'd have loved to hear the unholy racket those must be making
DarkAngelGuyver 3:29 ?
As long as they don't move air on their axis then it will be quite quiet
DarkAngelGuyver I was there and they were pretty much completely quite
mentoz98 Huh, I'd have figured they'd have been nosier. Cool then!
mentoz98 To be fair, the show floor isn't the most quiet of places.
That is one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time
I would like it to display memes 24/7
Some similar tech in Czechia, but its technology is physical medium, water, rather than light using LED and fans. I didn't know the fans existed until just now. Very cool now to see this.
Blade Runner 2049
That is cool. Stupid cool. Imagine having these instead of a tv or monitor. It would be like those see-through Macs they had in those Nick shows bitd.
Is camera framerate out of sync with the blade rpm, or the artefacts really that apparent?
Yes... I was wondering the same thing.
Hey LTT employees! If you see Mordewolt's comment, pls answer.
Well the way these displays work is they depend on a property of human vision. When we see bright lights, our eyes don't immediately let that dissappear when the light is gone, instead we retain it in our vision for a bit. These fans spin fast enough that we can see a full picture, but a camera won't be tricked as well. Should look much better in real life.
yeah it's kinda like low refresh rate monitors and how you would get a flashy video if you recorded it.
If you're talking about where the lines on some things don't line up it's because it's not being viewed straight on in those shots I think. To get full coverage without a gap they have to overlap the fans but to do that they have to have them at at least two different depths. The closer they're able to get the front of the back 'fans' to the back of the front row the smaller that error will be.
The other effects like the small swirl you can see in some shots are probably not visible to the human eye, camera's don't really see POV effects the same way our eyes do.
It would be really COOL to watch some shows on that thing . . . Man, what a FAN I am of the concept!!!
would be cool to see this at a EDM concert
Transition, well played, well played
we in the future now bois
I want to see someone try to game on an rbg fan as a display
Epicwallzdan Dar he can but should put glass between him and it
Abdullah Mohamed unless he was playing a really intense game
It looks so amazing with the clearly visible rotating fan blades.
Yup. Amazing
L bozo
That look amazing, unfortunately I don't have enough money to buy that😂
So that one Christmas themed led fan turned into this incredible 4k fan thingy. Nice.
Just wait someone stupid will put their fingers in that believing they can "Touch the 3d"
Henrik Nordin Or dick if we get to watch porn on it.
Henrik Nordin a screen would maybe help
That's gotta be up there for the coolest tech this year.
Yes, but tell me the thermals.
they should be favorable, the blades moving through the air sinks the leds, plus the blades can also be tilted to move air along the other parts that need cooling.
Fans not hot
Neva hot
Wow. I saw this product a few times on other channels but it never looked this good.
"THey're very protective of the content that is made for this thing"
time for some 3D, 4k shitposting
The idea behind it is relatively simple, POV device, but how they addressed that many LED's that's the real trick.
When you realize that one of those fans has a higher resolution than your screen
That looks so COOL, I'm a FAN of RGBs
Check your info about the single "fan" resolution. We are 100% sure that this is not a 4K per single unit(as studio that worked on animation for this hardware), not even close.
I can't comment on particular resolutions or specs, but this is their old product.
www.3dholodisplay.com/LED-based-plug-play-42x42-cm-Hypervsn-3D-Hologram-Player-pd6135855.html
The fact that they din't give the biggest tech youtuber this info is really pointing to how closed the system is. I am really curios if they straight up misled him or it's just a mistake.
South Style Movies the problem is that with this sort of media, resolution depends on rotation speed and the refresh rate of the individual LEDs.
South Style Movies seriously. How can 200 pixel on each blade be 4k? Isn't that 400x400? Not even close to 4k.
We can't comment the specification of the device(it's confidential). We simply asking if hypervision give specific resolution to Linus, this by this pixels. Because we have seen this in action and it's obviously not a 4K display/fan. When they say 4K when it's not it will be very disappointing for costumers in the future.
The thing is, this display is unconventional and it's impossible to classify it within a standard resolution. Each pixel isn't even rectangular to begin with, it's an arc. If you watch that fan though, even the outer edges look very crisp and they aren't really creating a visible arc, so there have to be a ton of LEDs on each blade, and they have to be refreshing extremely quickly. If it's 200 LEDs per blade, that's effectively π200^2 pixels, which is less than a 1080p standard display.. Resolution on one of these would have to be calculated by the area of a circle, pixels per blade being the radius.
This was WAY cooler than I thought it was going to from looking at the thumbnail...
I think we've gone a bit far with the whole RGB thing if we can make an entire display out of RGB fans.
Im not satisfied until my thermal paste is RGB
But itll give us 100000000000 fps more!!!
Zcan Kal NOT AT ALL! THATS AWESOME!
hhaslam11 I'm not satisfied until my cpu is rgb.
there's still no keyboard RGB display *yet*
Now that's chill display tech right there.
Anyone else notice the end sponsor spot banner was incorrect?
Jamie Maik haha true nice
I mean this is far from "New" tech but their implementation of it is pretty cool, gotta give em props for that.
Rgb is life
Projected life.
The future looks amazing 🤩
omfg thats sick
I cannot wait for a touchscreen version!
So as i understand I wouldn't be able to put just any image or video on these? If so it's kind of dissapointing
Sure you could. Since it can render models. All you need is to treat it in the same manner as rendering 2D with OpenGL or Direct3D. Render out quads which have textures mapped to their surfaces. However that ruleset for their particular installation is just stupid. Only showing the best of a technology is inviting disaster as no one can see the flaws and propose fixes.
But it's CES. You think Hypervsn will be like "Here's how our product sucks" at a demo booth? Beside, shops in China will be using either white-label versions of these made from cheaper parts because they're all made in the same factory or another white-label will make a knock-off of this soon enough for considerably less.
No even that. It can do full 2d... the team just don't want to at the moment, as they are only pushing top of the best quality and tech showcase videos right now. So if they stick to 3D until prices come down, they make more money?
I am already a big fan of this technology.
I'm a big fan.
really cool, can wait for the day case fans can do this
200x200
nicktohzyu lol
It looks amazing. I think this is the only thing during this show to make my jaw drop.
Soooo, where can you get case fans that can be programmed to show text on them?
I saw something like that on ThinkGeek years and years ago, scrolling text across a lit-up fan.
I mean, you can still get them because apparently only one company ever made these.... I just wish there was a more modern version of them :/
look at m.gearbest.com/novelty-lighting/pp_999715.html
This was way cooler then I thought it was going to be
This would be awful in houses with kids. I could put a glass in front of it... *But what about my refreshing RGB breeze!*
Claudio Lluberes or with cats
You really messed up by not say RGBreeze
It doesnt really move much air with those blades
Imagine a room completely surrounded by these, even underneath a glass floor.
what these guys are doing ? its just .... omg gaming on that .... take 50 grands from me...... you boy and bring it on...
Matruprasad Mohanty 50 grand rental; more than 3 grand each to buy; 10x10 grid over 300k; so 16:9 or 21:9 or any other ratio that you want, mix and match and find your price.
Matruprasad Mohanty what
??? just use a projector
SeventySeven
hey hold on don't be confuse friends he said small one for 30 grand and big one for 50 at 1:55 time just watch again if you missed it...
Yall should do a video on old cool technology like this that never became a thing or see where they are now.
$3000 for a fan ! i think i'll stick with my air conditional ! :))
and to think, if it was being pushed by Elon Musk and the Dyson vacuum cleaner company, with a tie-in to Apple, they'd be the biggest and most profitable company on Earth...
Nobody Uknow what?
The joke

your head
i dont think there fans like intended to actually push air i think there just spinning to create the effect that they do
The joke

these guys nailed the fan tech...
Holy shit that’s fuckin cool
Oh my gosh, we are in the future. Those are AMAZING! Just imagine Times Square full of those, playing ads or something. I guess if we can't figure out how to make floating holograms like in Star Wars, we use fans instead. Hopefully, nobody hurts themselves touching the fans. How come they're RGB, though? Why not more colors? Doesn't matter, though; it's still amazing!
Gotta go rob the bank real quick...
This would make cool visuals for music concerts.
Honestly why are these going to be on the market? $3k for this seems impractical for any use.
unless you're a big brand wanting to advertise
that's cool I remember the car rims that did that a couple years ago theres relly sick now
I'm not sure I want a head cutting display sitting in front me during x hours sessions ...
just encase full structure inside a glass chamber
Hang it up high enough head room, it would be best for entrance of any retail shop.
Future is here, awesome, think of gaming on a display like that
I'm just not a huge fan...
I think Linus is having a blast at CES. :-)
this stuff is extremely overprised
Oleksandr Honcharov *overpriced*
I guess you could say the prices are *blown* up
Everything new is always overpriced.
Welcome to the *Furture*
Oleksandr Honcharov It's actually a fairly reasonable price. You're paying for a 3D 4k display that also cools you and confuses your cat
That display *blows* my mind
people are very impressed by this but the technology has been around for dexades its just that the company has popularised it and gave it a cool name look it up there not that sepcial edit : its been around since the 1970 and an early model was the phillips n4414
But that's a reel to reel machine not a 3d display?
like the wrong thing then just type in persistence of vision display in you tube
televisions have been around since the 1920's ... phones have been around since the 1850's.
Ethan speed art except that it's totally different
the technology? yes. this kind of quality? I dont think so
it's like comparing 4k display with CRT
