Great experiments - thanks for sharing the results at different stages!
For the rhizomes in water, how much sunlight did they get in your greenhouse? Did you add any supplements to their water, like Superthrive? I love how healthy they look 😍

I would estimate they were getting about 4 hours per day of indirect sunlight. I didn’t add any sopplements. I hope they grow stronger this summer now that they’ve had a head start.

A great experiment. I watched the first part. What part of the world are you in?

so informative...do you put a weed fabric in your bed? i saw you just put the lily rhizomes in ground. what do you do when weeds start growing in between plants? i want to know move on from growing into pots to growing into ground but have only done container gardening till now. moved into a new home and have some ground in backyard.

I don’t have weed fabric in my garden. During the summer, I didn’t have many weeds. That big rain we had seemed to have started the weeds to grow recently. I’ve been getting rid of them with a hoe a few times a week.
I want to cover all the bare spots with low growing plants such as the spider plants, purple heart, and tradescantia to help with the weeds. Anywhere I see a bare spot, I’m going to plant something there.
