    at 12:14 check once, if current transformer is used to step down then why primary has few turns and secondary has large no. of turns?

    • @SumitKumar-nv9bq
      @SumitKumar-nv9bq 6 лет назад +1

      CT is step up transformer.purpose of CT is to get low current in secondary side so voltage will be high i.e more no. of turns

    why transformer do not operate in DC supply?

    • @ratssaesquareallaboutelect5919
      @ratssaesquareallaboutelect5919  6 лет назад +1

      Transformer works on Faraday's principle of Electromagnetic Induction.
      For Inductance (or Inducing EMF) a changing flux (i.e change in flux with respect to time) is required , Which is always happening in AC supply.
      Whereas in DC supply , there is no change in flux with respect to time , the flux is constant. So as per Faraday's law of Electromagnetic Induction , Transformer can not work on DC Supply.

      as transformer work on mutual induction principle, and dc can not perceive mutual induction as well it behaves as pure resistive , means regular current through primary coil only increases losses and temperature increment resulting in burn out of winding

    • @harshchovatia617

      mutual induction will not be possible by using D.C (emf cannot be generated)

    In speed control que how to speed control by pole change method?

    • @ratssaesquareallaboutelect5919
      @ratssaesquareallaboutelect5919  6 лет назад +1

      pandit vishal
      For your query u can refer below mentioned link:
      circuitglobe.com/pole-changing-method.html

    • @mohdmuzammil879
      @mohdmuzammil879 6 лет назад

      The basic formula of speed of an induction motor is Ns=120*f/p,
      So the speed is inversely proportional to the number of stator pole..

    • @ratssaesquareallaboutelect5919
      @ratssaesquareallaboutelect5919  6 лет назад

      Basically in maintenance job , u can learn about different machines , drives , transformer and different switchgears , this type of job requires people who are good in troubleshooting and who can take quick decisions and almost all big companies have maintenance department , so it is easy to change job.
      While talking about electrical CAD , only CAD is not sufficient in design field ,one need to be good in basic electrical calculation and knowledge of other softwares like ETAP is also added advantage.Usually this type of job requires good theoretical knowledge along with good soft skills.
      I have mentioned very few points , there may be many points other than this.
      Important thing is what do u like and what type of job u get , both are having very good growth options.
      Hope your question is answered.
      Thanks for writing.
