Wow, I'm surprised they came in such great condition considering it was from Amazon. I remember reading scans of these back in the day, but never owned the physical copies.
Despite people often citing bad reviews from Amazon shipping, I've actually had very good experiences ordering manga through them. I may just be lucky though!
So these are only going to go until vol30? idk weather to get these or the box collections if the boxes go all the way to current-ish, won't these stop at the end of Emerald/DDP?
Vol. 10 goes to Vol. 29, ending Pokemon Emerald. Nothing has been announced yet about continuing to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, but we’ll see what happens. I hope they do!!
@@cloystr Getting into manga is so hard! there's so many versions of each one at this point, I thought starting with childhood favorites in Pokemon/Dragon Ball type stuff would be the simplest but they have like 3-4 different editions each
@@ChichiNaka That is true! My recommendation would be to start slow, and start reading the first volume of something and see if you want to continue reading it or move onto something else. Between editions, the story will largely be the same. If you go to a bookstore, for example Barnes and Noble, you can take a book off the shelf and start reading it there. It’s free and you can quickly see what you like. Sometimes they will have different editions of the same manga to compare too.
I love this manga so much XD But I already own all the volumes (in English and German, since when I started reading the manga it wasn't released in Germany XD But it helped me with learning English XD) Comparing these collectors mangas with the original, I think I like the originals a bit better, the sides of the original look cooler, cause they always have a individual little picture on the side and they have a message from the story writer and artist, which are always fun and interesting ^^ Now to the really interesting question, are these releases finally uncensored? (like the part with the Green/Blue (the Kanto girl xD) and "Pokeballs" and the part in which Crystals mom hits her (in the censored version she just stares at her XD) Luckly the German version of the manga that I have is uncensored, but it would be cool if english readers would finally get an uncensored version, too ^^''
What do you think of the paper quality? I've heard conflicting info. Some say it's better than individual volumes, but others say it's poorer quality and the pages are too see-through? To a newcomer like me, the collector's editions are appealing for cost (compared to box sets which are $80-$90 each), but I still prefer whichever is best quality. I've heard the spine can break easily on some omnibus books, but I wouldn't know personally.
If you already have the individual volumes, there's probably not really a need to. But if you like the way they look, I think it would be a nice addition to any bookshelf.
As I see in Omnibus - Collectors Edition we have western left to right style of reading - for me it is dissapointing - i will preffer original from right to left - but collectors edition is cheaper
man, tou dont know how much i want this mangas, its sad that in my country this must be impossible to find and even if i find it must be very expensive
You can buy an online copy if its not avalible in your country I would recommend getting a VPN to change your location and enjoy one of the greatest pokemon stories

Glad I put off buying the individual volumes all these years.
The individual volumes are fairly difficult to find in consistently good condition, so these really feel like a much needed release!
@@cloystr Just place a backorder or two for the box sets
Just bought the first three, man! the story is so good 🥳
Surprised you filmed this in 2160p HDR
Awesome unboxing video of your manga you have great video
From what I hear, only one more volume is to be released. I hope Viz does the right thing and go Volume 11 and beyond.
and ? Something changed ? or still 10 volumes?
man, if only I had money right now to buy them. They look amazing
I got to know those editions thanks to this video and now I bought the first 3 volumes. You just influenced me :P
Beautiful, I’m going to start the pokemon 🔜
Thank you ☺️

Do you know if they will continue publishing more collector's editions after Volume 10? I mean, the Diamond & Pearl saga and onwards.
I’m not sure, nothing has been announced yet, but I really hope so!
Nope
amazon legit always fucks me over with their shipping

So should I collect the old box sets or just get the collectors edition since it seems easier
The collector’s editions are a really good value, so I would recommend those! Some of the older original box sets are hard to find
