Hi there! I grew up listening to Anathema at all hours and only made my contribution to help them with their problem. I think I owe them my youth! I would like to attend a concert where they only play the album Alternative 4. I would like this to reach the band and I am convinced that there are more people who think like me. A greeting!
Listened to this album today, on the plane home from holidays in Greece. I swear, as we descended through the clouds…..tears fell. It was a once in a lifetime experience. This is just pure perfection and emotions beyond anything I ever felt!!
This is the best album I've heard in the last 3 years or so, I just cannot stop to listen. Thank you so much for sharing this piece of you with us all. And different than some of the comments here say, this album sound much more like the brilliant older Anathema than the band itself on their recent albuns. The Optimist was a colossal deception to me.
Anneke is all over the scene these days. She is consistently working with Devin Townsend, Daniel here, Arjen Lucassen in both Ayreon and The Gentle Storm, she guested on Maiden United and ton of other stuff, and is also putting out solo stuff. Such an amazing vocalist!

One thing bothers me. Why do you make a solo album if it sounds just like Anathema? And personally, not like the good old Anathema, but like this banal unispired new one.
You really gotta make sure you don't mix your opinion with your facts. You make a good point that this isn't a very new sound but this is probably my favorite song since weather systems so make of that what you will.

Uninspired? This is already way better than Distant Satellites and The Optimist.

RedgraveGilver Distant Satellite was a masterpiece, but the Optimist .... I just don't get that album, it's terrible in my opinion.
The Optimist is the banal uninspired one. Danny's music is a refreshing breeze on the ears.
