Fishing in a tournament there this weekend... gonna be a blast! just low enough that all the big boats have to stay in the river channel while running.... makes fishing coves and backwater enjoyable...
You are a very successful fisherman and you have caught a lot of big fish, Your fishing gear is amazing Congratulations.👍🎣🤗 Here in Brazil we love fishing too. hug!!!
oh sure Kristine, like that will work... hahahaha, Just kidding, great job figuring out the bite. I really enjoy your minds eye when you get challenged and the fish are there. Lots of fun. Smiling, George.
Nice vid! Fishing standing timber is my favorite structure. It isnt used much now days but i still fish a tube. Timber and that grass is perfect for a green pumpkin 3 or 4 inch weighted tube. Bass still inhale those baits.
DC, there is not much unless you can find a room to rent out in the country but I haven't tested that idea. San Angelo is about 75 minutes away which isn't bad unless you are fishing days in a row. There are trailers and some rooms but I'm thinking their being available is rare. If you have an RV sometimes electric hookups can be available. But January through June 2022 is prolly booked already. This lake 2 years ago was almost vacant. It was a dream but then water levels got right and it is being swarmed. Lake Fork went through the same thing in the 80's.
@@kneelingchampion5941 we have a house rented about a miles from elm creek boat ramp or something like that but thanks for the info. Going in a couple weeks to fish everyday for a few days.

In case you missed it, this was a year after a mega famous fishing RUclipsr posted a 60lb sack on “your” lake, and then every guide and several Texas pro anglers started posting teeners 😂 boat ramp was packed to the brim since then, so you’re welcome!
@@kristinefischer2289 it is pretty much “my lake”, been launching at Padgitt Park since the early 90’s. Way before any of the bass fishing “influencers” were around.. YT and IG have over pressured this hidden gem that the locals treasured. So to you and your kind that fish for posts and likes “thank you”.
Ain’t there some big ass alligators 🐊 in there? No matter what there seems to be good fishing. The only thing that’s sucks is I’m not there fishing it before it get wore out…
A giant youtube did a video there that garnished a lot of attention. However I doubt it’s ruined. Because of the salt cedar, That lake can hold more fish per acre than any other lake in the state. It’s very healthy and those fish have plenty of space to hide
@@kristinefischer2289 I am local, Ivie is my home lake. By ruined, I don't necessarily mean fishing wise. I mean ruined by the influx of inconsiderate assholes who have no common sense or ethics. The ones who don't live here, so they don't take pride in the lake or its surroundings and dump trash everywhere...thats already evident since Spring.
I love and hate this video. Love it because Ivie is a lake I fish. Hate because when you post videos like this on RUclips or Facebook everyone shows up by the hundreds.
@@kristinefischer2289 try launching a boat during prespawn before dawn--crammed packed! BTW I'm a fan and really like your content. Your skill is impressive.

Can you do a seminar on how you skip those lures ? How ? What sort of lures work? How to end the cast ( let it drop in, immediate retrieve etc)?

I need to fish a tube more for largies- sometimes I get trapped in the mentality of associating it with smallmouth
The landscape of that lake looks insane. BTW, that intro was great!
Thank you!! Getting better each time I think? ;)
@@kristinefischer2289 most definitely 👍
Try Lake Okeechobee in Florida!!!
Great video! I love the location with the weeds and grass. You may have had some luck with a frog. Might have caught a few bigger ones
I was fishing a frog most of the time. !
Wow. That not that far from my hometown. I might have to road-trip to see MOM! “Son! Nice to see you, wait? You brought a kayak?!”
You should come and join us on February 12, 2022 for a Slay Nation kayak tournament.
Awesome content! Sweet hat!
Thank you so much !
I'm drooling just looking at that water, holy cow it's beautiful! And don't fall out the yak! What state is this in?
This is texas !

Kristine, how do you like having the Sonar in the middle vs on the side?

It was insane this spring and is still fishing good was blessed with a 12lb 12oz out of a pa14 this spring
WOW! That’s a TOAD! Hope
To get out there next spring!
too bad you didn't get any smallies... they are pretty big there and so fun to pull in!!
I wish we could have figured those out!
Great video, you yanked so hard, no wonder those fish don’t have any teeth! Lol

What was the frog you were throwing?
Get ur done my fellow Anglers and God Bless🙏🤺💯💪👊🙌🔥💙🎣🐟

what does the license code in your description box for?
O.H. IVIE is now known for a new species of bass called Flying Bass. I laughed my butt off on that last fish!
I felt terrible 😂
Nice eat on the skip!

I’ve not seen you Legend Glass lately? You still fish St. Croix???
No sir! I switched to Abu Garcia / fenwick !
Boat flips and head ache tablets for them well done some cracking fish there
1300 miles from me. Guess that's not happening 😕 😔 looks like a blast though!
Have you ever fallen out of the kayak when you are pulling a big fish and it gets loose?
Man I want a day like that when I’m fishing all this brush and never having to pick up a flipping rod and throw swim jigs and frogs
Only caught ONE Flippin I was shocked
Hay darling, jave a quick Q. What line you using? Running a braid with floracarbin leader or mono or all floracarbin exc.?
Where is this lake?

How / why would a lake all of a sudden become well-known for bass?
Because of non locals posting RUclips videos of multiple double digit bass, which in turn turned Ivie into a circus. It'll be the next Fork...ruined.
