I'm not a Bass fishermen, there is no Bass in Ireland but I love watching your videos. Discovered your channel 3 days ago and spend hours watching you. Great work! An awesome video.
I love this man.. Seriously I could watch him fish forever.. He gives it to you in the manner you can understand.. He tells you like it is. A class act!!
Y’all made a nice, informative video. I liked the making of the video, video too 👊 My PB is a 9.25 but I keep chunkin and windin hoping for that teener. Unfortunately I do not get to travel to those big fish lakes. Maybe someday…I have begun my glide bait journey and perhaps that will help 🤷🏼♂️
I see some other states following suite and it’s a beautiful sight to see. Bussey brake in northern Louisiana and my new favorite lake and they drained it and had it shut down for over 10 years. They turned it into a trophy bass lake and since it’s opened up it has been spitting out. We went and fished it for 3 days and caught three 10+ pounders. I know a 15 got caught and in the week I was there 28 bass over 10 pounds had been caught. It’s incredible to see. If you put the effort you get the reward!
keep killing it man this video is sick. More of these please! seen where you posted you were in a slump in the elites this year but then you put content out like this for us to enjoy! Bad ass man!
I think everyone here already spoke for me.. killer video dude. I dig this content . Keep ‘em coming. I’ve been eyeballing Texas for a move. There’s nothing not to like in that state , especially the folks. I live 2 minutes from Casitas and fish it at least 3 times a week. Talk about tough fishing and a big loss of what it use to be. But the lake had been on a serious drought for years and just filled up to 74%. It’s a complete new lake. So I’m curious what will happen. California needs fishery management and new politicians 😂
Just watched this on my TV with my daughter and well worth it brother. She wants to find a big bass now. Keep up the hard work! Your content is superior!
Television can't compete with the quality you're putting out! Sick video and I really enjoyed the segment that talked about the Texas Sharelunker program. Literally have goosebumps rn.
Just finished the first video! Hell ya brotha, I love this type of content. I will meet you someday! Thanks for everything you’ve e done for bass fishing.💪🏽
Such an amazing video! You guys put together a fantastic piece of entertainment with this one! I’m fascinated by O.H. Ivie and the share lunker program. Even though I’ll probably never get to fish there I’m just obsessed with giant bass. Great job guys!!
Like no other vid I've seen -- outstanding job, Mr. Z (and company)! So instructive, informative, and EXCITING, from beginning to end. Well done, sir -- can't wait for the next one (and I've gotta book a trip down to 'O-H' soon)!
Great video! Very well done. Thank you for investing your time and energy into making this for us. You hit some things right on the head at the beginning regarding Texas managing their fisheries and California letting theirs do what they do. I will take it even further and say that Clear Lake is being irresponsibly managed in that there are way too many tournaments. Almost every weekend and some weekdays as well. Its just too much pressure. Anyhow, thanks again and keep up the good work!
*Excellent* This thing is packed with good, interesting, information. There's a great comparison between Texas and California fisheries AND fishery management. It's also a window into some of the genetic stuff that is going on as we speak so to say. Trying to develop bigger more sporty bass. I don't really know any counter arguments to this endeavor but I have a general opinion that humans always harm the natural world when they try and do clever things, like build dams or farm salmon. But it's not like bass are some endemic natural thing either, so I'm not tripping. Really great episode.
David Campbell, the Texas Parks and Wildlife fisheries biologist and original manger of the Share A Lunker Program told me that genetics was the key and that habitat was secondary. With limited Florida bass for stocking, the early program focused on habitat but it soon became obvious that if you prioritize genetics big bass could be grown almost anywhere. David was a great ambassador for the program and for recreational fishing. RIP.
What snaps do you use for glidebaits? You are my favorite Elite Series Pro because of your enthusiasm, out of the box thinking, and passion for catching quality bass. Keep the great content flowing!
Do you guys think that it is a certain lake's fish population (like Fork or Ivie) that is resulting in these huge bass or is it the fact that these giants are hitting these huge swim baits that have pretty much just become popular for finding them ? Could you take that same 8" or 10" lure and catch giants like that at Ray Roberts or Choke Canyon because they will only chase that size bait ? Just curious whether it's the fish population or the lures being used to catch them now.
Does anyone know what percentage of Florida bass genetics exists in these fish? Last time I was interested in this stuff it was around 2008, so I've lost contact. I remember something about hybrids going sterile after F7 stage? So, these are what exactly? Pure largemouth with no Florida bass in them? Is this even possible?
The world record bass is in Ga. Huge bass are being caught in Ga that no body is recording. Monsters son! Ga can give Texas a run for its money, you just got to know where to fish in ga. And I know just the spots.😎
It happen to falcon the water levels dropped and it was over fished. I’ll give maybe 5-10 years before it becomes Falcon. It will become even harder to catch them from all the pressure.
Here in Cali all the fees collected from most lakes goes into the states pocket. They’re doing nothing about taking care of California lakes and fisheries.
Here in San Diego our dwindling funding source for the city results in their managing of the lakes less and less; losing staff and can only clean the bathrooms and empty the trashcans with the resources they have. We have like 3 City enforcement rangers and 3 game wardens for our zone 7(?).
Love it when Chris starts getting his giddy laugh. Pure joy
😁🤭🤗
Man, Zaldain, I live up in Canada and can only watch and drool when I see bass like these....

Awesome film. Makes me wonder what lake is simmering and about to blow up. Shout out for the drone eat at 15:35! Those don’t come easy.
Johnny’s got that dog in him. He sat filming a 15lber on a bed for two days. We did not succeed with that one….
Really liked the movie format! Looking forward to future productions!
This banger of a video is what we want as an audience. Keep accelerating your content and fish on.
I'm from Ohio and I would love to hug that share lunker lady, because I plan on fishing in Texas one day!
One of the best fishing films on RUclips

Dang your videos and commitment to making them have gone thru the roof.Only a matter of time before your channel really explodes🙏
🙏
You DEFINITELY should have more subscribers for your content. Top notch.
This is the first year for us to be consistent with vids weekly so maybe the channel will start to gain some traction
That's pretty cool to see the lineage that the Sharelunker program can track from each fish.
Pretty neat seeing what my buddy Dalton has done down there from my area in Kentucky
Keep the grind, you’ve got something special here!
🙏👊🏽
Props to the filming and editing on this. Really good to watch.

Very well done, like watching a Netflix doc.
Thanks Matt! Just getting started - trying to do more of these “film” style vids outside of tournaments

What an amazing video Chris! Loved it so much I watched it twice! Maybe one day I’ll make it back to Texas.

Where in Texas ?
What is the brand and model of those glasses??
They are called the “zaldain is not a pro fisherman anymore RUclips wannabe” frame in the Verbatim line
Did I get that, right? 😉
Take that shit to the tournaments bro! Get that W
I always figured Mike Long would "snag" a new world record in California 😂😂😂
I bet Choke Canyon has a state record in it too...lots of big fish never documented. Conroe as well.
I bet there’s several Texas lakes with the state record swimming around tbh
Maybe choke… there are a few others I would put ahead of it… lake austin for one
Every single lake that has bass tournaments on it should be stocking share lunker genetics. It’s a no brainer.
Have they thought of crossing giant fish from California and Texas and getting better results
Can you imagine the bass that would result from managed Lunker programs in CA with trout stocking 😮
The world record bass is in Ga. Huge bass are being caught in Ga that no body is recording. Monsters son! Ga can give Texas a run for its money, you just got to know where to fish in ga. And I know just the spots.😎
This video could of been an hour long and I'd never get bored
I agree 100% 🤙🤙
We are just getting started with these films! This one barely scratched the surface 😉
I completely agree
@@Zaldaingerous awesome!
It happen to falcon the water levels dropped and it was over fished. I’ll give maybe 5-10 years before it becomes Falcon. It will become even harder to catch them from all the pressure.
Heard it’s fishing pretty bad right now, that true?
@@Zaldaingerous Lakes levels are at an all time low, and the fishing is not what it used to be . I don’t think they ever will.
I really wish Kentucky to other states would do this . Even at a smaller level ..say 7 pounds in Kentucky ..it would really help
Glad Chris pointed out how California fisheries are mismanaged.
Here in Georgia I’m on a quest for a 10 pounder
Have three at 9 pounds and I throw back eight pounders back left and right lol
I can't imagine how good our fishing would be here in Alabama if the state gave a damn about out lakes
Virginia needs a share a lunker smallmouth
Dude, if I caught a 13 pounder I would go so crazy
SAME - 13s will make anyone go insane
From Cali? Explains it all
And how many of of those Ivie fish were related to other share lunkers? I’ll wait…
She literally says it in the film
My gf and i drove to o.h. Ivie to fish from the banks couple years ago, slammed them on the evening top water bite
