Now turning into extended metaphor add explanation so, Life is a rollercoaster you don’t know when you will be at the top or at the bottom, it will all happen in an instance, at the greatest heights you will be at the greatest heights and at times it will crash, but every day is never the same, just like in a turn in a Rolle coaster is never the same.
    6. Oxymoron

Hey if possible could anyone mark this for me or give me a rough idea of a grade? Thank you :)
It was a serene sight as I woke up. The clouds danced above, filled with laughter as they jumped along the skyline. As I lifted myself up from the marble ground below, I felt an instant sharp pain through my chest. I glanced down and shuddered at the sight. A scarlet, gaping hole was clear in the middle of my chest. Gasping, my hand began to shake by my sides as I could not tear my eyes away from it. I forced myself to shut my eyes, to slow my breath. Silence stood around me. It was like everything had come to an end. I opened my eyes again, taking time to truly notice where I was. There was no one. Not a single person walked upon this desolate land. A hole in my chest. No people. A serene surrounding. I was…dead. Death was abhorrent to me. I could not accept my fate so easily. Surely not! Nevertheless, my future was awaiting me, at the top of those mountainous stairs. I would meet my father, my God who I had aspired to throughout my life.
    Heaven was awaiting me.
Immediately, I began to ascend the stairs I noticed the beauty of a picture began to appear. All around me, I watched as nature began to grow, form, to reach a new height of incredible ability. Nature had been a loved thing of mine. When I was most awake, most present in the moment, every sense of nature converged into a single euphoric joy. It was as if there was a feeling passing between each living thing, a bond that appeared so tangible and blended, a melody beyond the range of ears but available for the heart. As each leaf twirled in the wind, a part of me did too. There was something so irreplaceable about it. It was the very essence (besides God) that made up my being, that made up millions of other beings - the glue of the universe. My fate was not so doomed, if I remained with both God and nature, I would feel complete. Only a few dozens of stairs were present on the staircase. All I had to do was climb just a little bit more and my glorious death would be worthwhile.
My chest had a burning sensation, even though the circumstance of my death had long passed, and I was in a place of peace now. A shivering breath rocked through my body, but I had completed the stairs now. I had made it. In front of me appeared a glistening gate. A lengthy piece of glimmering and glowing gold wrapped and wrapped around each rail, drawing me to them. I hobbled over to the gate; a broad smile spread across my face. It was unbelievable, incredible, astonishing! I was here at the gates of heaven. My hand reached out to pull the gate open, but an apoplectic voice howled at me. I could not understand a single word it said, so I reached toward the gate, hoping this time I would be let in. Again, the tempestuous voice shook the very ground I was standing on. If I could not enter… There was only one other place that lay in the afterlife.
    Hell was awaiting me.
What indignant heaven that turned out to be. I had done well all my life. I helped the poor, I prayed to my god every night, I was kind to others, I greeted all with respect and interest. All my life, my entire service was dedicated to God, my holy father and even he did not want me. Plodding down the stairs, I glared at the face of nature. There was no longer a euphoric joy: only an animosity felt towards it. The only feeling that passed between us, was one of bitterness and disgust. The clouds mournfully gathered in the sky, and I suddenly felt my teeth chatter. The leaves blustered as the clouds and the sky began to conjure mighty wind, causing me to stumble down these staggering stairs.
Why me? What had I done that was so erroneous for God to send me to the lamentable depths of hell? I finished my descent on my stairs; I was right where I had awoken only a mere hour ago. However, this time a polished ebony gate stood with a piece of flame ruby wrapped up each rail. Trembling, I tiptoed towards it feeling every bone shake in my body. A morose fate this was, and I was to accept it. The gates began to creak open, even though I was several metres away. I breathed quickly in, and I walked towards those dreadful doors. There was nothing I could do now.

    what grade would this be?
    The Race
BEEP! BEEP! Tom woke up as the sun waved at him. He was still in bed and slammed on the snooze button. He was a typical teenager, who didn’t enjoy life. Tom, who was a university student, had a big day ahead of him: his competition deadline. This once in a lifetime opportunity could change Tom’s mundane life by achieving his dream of getting an apprenticeship with SpaceX. He was an amiable character and was a brave, bright and broad minded person. However, he had a weakness: being late.
Clare (who was Toms’ mum) imperatively charged into his room to wake him up. Tom was running late; it was 11:30am, had to be there by 12pm. If he didn’t arrive in time, his work would not be counted. He woke up with urgency, knowing he must race time; he dashed to the toilet. Brushed the mountain on his head and washed his smooth, soft and lush skin. His mum screamed, “Hurry up! The bus is in 10 minutes!”. He heard the door slam and dragged himself downstairs. Tom made his favourite breakfast: eggs on toast with freshly squeezed apple juice. He threw 2 slices of bread into the toaster whilst running to the store room. Suddenly, he smelt something strange, awkward and unpleasant: burnt toast!
Immediately, he sprinted to the kitchen fast as a cheetah. BANG! He slipped and crashed into the wall, his cup smashed into a million pieces! He was struggling to keep up with time and started to panic; only 5 minutes till the bus arrived. Tom gave up on the toast, as it was obliterated. Shortly after, he looked at his shiny watch and there was less than 90 seconds remaining! Tom left the house as a dump yard, and sped around the corner just in time to see the number 94 pulling up. He threw himself down with a sigh of relief and tried to regain his momentum. The day just got worse for Tom as the cloudy clouds cried and the traffic began to back up. Suddenly, the bus halted: it broke down. He had a choice; he could either wait for the next bus or walk the remaining journey. Unfortunately, Tom didn’t have the luxury to wait as it would take 15 minutes for the next bus. If Tom walked there it would take 10 minutes, but he only had 5 minutes before the start of his presentation. Tom was nervous. He decided to run and hoped he would make it in time. Quickly. Picking up speed. Racing as fast as a rocket. He was against time.
Panting and gasping for air, Tom arrived. He spotted the registration desk, but there was nobody there. Puzzled, confused and thunderstruck; what’s happening? Just then, he received a call from his mum and he explained to her that no one was around; she remained silent. Breaking the silence, she confessed that she had changed the time on his watch to an hour earlier. Tom furiously spammed the end call red button, he was vexed and jubilant at the same time! Elated that he was early, but angry for being duped by his mother. Messaging his mum, thanks and sorry, he darted to the canteen for a hearty and well earned breakfast. Keeping an eye on the time, it was early 12 O’ clock, time to face the review panel . Tom submitted his model and the inspections began. It was a tense nail biting moment, Tom was waiting for the winner to be announced. He made his way to the main hall apprehensively fidgeting with his fingers. He prayed to win as he didn’t want his hours of hard work to go to waste. The room was reticent and a man came on stage to announce the winner. Toms’ heart was beating like a drum; the name on the screen was …

Note: You need to vary your paragraph lengths by adding in two one paragraphs. That’s something you could clearly add in to you piece of writing. I’ll just leave it there, as I’m not a teacher.

Sir, what does zoom in/out and focus mean?

    • @chefhassan1446
      @chefhassan1446 2 года назад

Zooming in and out means to actually focus on a certain aspect of a setting ( zooming in ) and then zooming out is actually when you describe a setting as one. This wouldn't be as detailed as zooming in focuses on one thing whereas zooming out focuses on multiple things (:
