I did Hades 360 Backrow and it almost made me hate coasters lol. This coaster would benefit so much from Titan Track but Mt. Olympus is the WEIRDEST amusement park and I'm surprised the coaster operates at all.
For me, it is Gold Rusher and the original Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain as well as rows 1 and 4 on the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland. On most steel coasters that I have been on, they would normally be a one and done if they are too rough almost every time I go (and in the case of Matterhorn, rows 2 and 5 are the worst rows to sit in thanks to very little leg room). As for the original Colossus, I found the roughness on that ride to be enjoyable for the most part. For Gold Rusher, even though the back row beats me up every time I go on it, I can easily ride it repeatedly thanks to the ride having the shortest line out of all the big coasters in the park.
No offense but, GOLD RUSHER????? Please can someone tell me how this is too much for anyone. Also staying on the topic of magic mountain I gotta say apocalypse it’s a pretty good layout but it’ll get ur legs jigglen
@@sarajanti4517 in the very back seat on Gold Rusher, you do get shaken up. I do prefer the middle and back seats on that ride as I find the front seat to be boring.

The old grizzly at KD before the 2023 gravity group retracking was UNBEARABLE. I also just rode roar at SFA and Stampida at PortAventura, and they were both pretty rough but could’ve been worse
Manhattan Express or the big Apple or whatever it’s called now in Vegas is very rough and painful and not a good ride but the views you get of Vegas are really unique and special
Totally agree about Gold Striker. I enjoyed it a little more when it ran smoothly during its first couple seasons, but the roughness it's developed kind of accentuates the wildness of the layout.
For me it’s flying dinosaur, the ride is so intense and full of forces that make your body feel like it’s about to explode. That why I rode it 3 times all apart from each other since every time I left why my back and neck all hurting from the forces the ride puts you through
After riding Hades 360 in the back row I felt like I just got a concussion. It definitely should get either GCI titan track or the Gravity Goup's pre-cut track.
@@Southeastern_Thrills It crawls at the end. It would benefit from the RMC treatment because then it might actually get some airtime rather than the 'airtime' from being unbearably rough.
I would say El Toro and Skyrush are the two toughest coasters that I love. I’ll ride them over and over again despite the roughness, because I don’t find them painful or uncomfortable, just not smooth, if that makes sense. Also, their layouts are fun, unlike a coaster like Magnum XL-200 I didn’t like as much as others because it was rough, uncomfortable, and the layout was not that exciting for me. Then you have the real dumpster fires like Firebird and Green Lantern which are just painful and I don’t plan to ever re-ride those. I’d say, that’s the line lol.
My mind immediately went to Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce. In principle this ought to be one of the best woodies in the world. In practice, the last time I rode it I just couldn't fully enjoy it, it was so rough. (To be fair, that was before the most recent rounds of retracking.) Canobie Coaster still rates it as the best ride in New England. I think his roughness tolerance is just way higher than mine. Then again, when I rode Stampida at PortAventura, I'd heard all sorts of people complaining about how rough it was, and I didn't really have a problem with it. So I think this is a lot like tolerance for spicy food--it varies over orders of magnitude. (Also, the same coaster can give you radically different rides on different days.)
Legend and raven and voyage are all very rough. The voyage is especially rough in the valleys. But I love each one! And can't wait to get back to holiday world to ride them again.
My list is still growing, but so far for me it's the Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Over Georgia. They retracked it sometime in 2022, and before that it was absolutely brutal, and borderline unbearable. It still feels its age, but now it's a bit smoother, and I can really enjoy the air time.
@@Southeastern_Thrills It really does. I used to be scared to ride it, and some of my friends who are used to the more extreme levels of coaster, wouldn't even get on it. That told me a lot, but now I can safely say that it is a lot more fun. So glad to see that they're taking better care of it.
After my visit to Holiday World yesterday, I realized that all three of the park's wooden coasters fall into this category. They're incredible rides, but the forces (especially the laterals) are too strong for repeat rides to be easy. With regards to roughness, Shivering Timbers takes the cake. It's unbearably rough, but the airtime is so good.
My first coaster ever was Screamer at Boblo Island. Later known as Corkscrew at Playland in Vancouver. Appeared in Final Destination 3. It was a mid-80s Vekoma MK-1200. With hard plastic over-the-shoulder restraints, and I was about ten years old, so headbanging was unavoidable. To me, anything less rough than that is just fine. In fact, if a coaster's too *smooth*, I don't enjoy it as much--I feel like a really good coaster oughta rough you up a little.
I rode The Voyage in 2013, and damn near got whiplash! I also have a major issue with restraint bars that crush my belly. I've been hearing that The Voyage has had some considerable re-tracking. Think it might be worthwhile trying it again?
Hades is rough, but as you said. You can space it out. Mine Blower on the other hand is way too rough to get more than one ride comfortably in a night. Which sucks as it as a phenomenal layout. I’m not sure if every skyrocket 2 is like this, but every time I get off of Tigris at BGT all I feel is pain in my legs. Like I’ve rode skyrush which is of course notoriously bad when it comes to crushing your legs but I still think Tigris has been worse on my legs every time I’ve rode it.
The lap bar on Phobia Phear Coaster didn't give me trouble, but I seem less sensitive to tight lap restraints than most enthusiasts are--they just don't bother me that much (Superman: The Ride is a notorious example). What I noticed was the strong lateral whip on the twists that kept the train upright through most of the ride. Phobia doesn't have the comfort collars, but I remember thinking that I saw why people didn't like them--I wouldn't want to have my upper body constrained by anything, going through those.
Phobia is noticeably easier to ride. I love that version. Probably my favorite reride coaster there. Boulderdash is good but too intense to reride more than once.

Skyrush has a bad rattle. Between that and the restraints auto-stapling you (which doesn't hurt anymore but is uncomfortable) it's much harder to enjoy but I still rode it several times.
Context: I am disabled. My disability starts at my back and affects my legs. Unfortunately, despite being a total thrill seeking enthusiast a poorly kept wooden coaster or certain restraints make me unable to ride ANY ride for about two hours after whatever rough one I was just on. Honestly love taiga at Linnanmäki so much, but it's been 5 years, and it's quite bumpy and shaky, not saying it is unbearable, as it's in my top 3, but it can get super rough in the years to come
Skyrush has a bad rattle. Between that and the restraints auto-stapling you (which doesn't hurt anymore but is uncomfortable) it's much harder to enjoy but I still rode it several times.
I can only do Hades 360 once a day
Context: I am disabled. My disability starts at my back and affects my legs. Unfortunately, despite being a total thrill seeking enthusiast a poorly kept wooden coaster or certain restraints make me unable to ride ANY ride for about two hours after whatever rough one I was just on. For me, as a park goer, rollercoaster enthusiast, and disabled person, *too rough* is just not an option for me 🤧 so second rides? Not a chance! Really wish I could though…
As long as it is smoother than riding a mountain bike down two flights of stairs I’m probably gonna find it fine
Renegade at valleyfair, great ride but it jackhammers you into next year
If it’s good enough I’ll endure stuff like magnum XL 200, which actually hurts me . Stuff like the boss at St. Louis though sucks AND it’s rough like vekoma SLC. That’s when it’s rough and I’m not gonna ride it. Old arrow loops are rough but they are good so I’ll ride them now and then.
Troy comes to mind. It rides faster every year, but also rougher every year.
odyssey is so fun but breaks my ribs every time
Magnum is way too rough for me. It whips way too hard and isn’t smooth while doing it so I don’t see why people aren’t calling it rough. If I’m getting banged around, I’m calling it rough. A spades a spade
Back seats of the Beast.
Grand National at Blackpool pleasure beach is a very good layout and lots of airtime but it’s pretty much unbearable the roughness
Lightning Rod is like this for me
SAW: The Ride at Thorpe Park, UK - really great eurofighter but has a massive pothole at the bottom of the drop + a lot of headbanging action
In vertigo at kings island it realy bumpy but fun
Tatsu. Only ride I passed out on and consistently get motion sickness from lol. Idk why I ride it every time I go considering the lift hill itself gets me freaked tf out.
El Toro when I rode it in 2022 but it was even worse in 2021. I still liked it better than any ride in the park, barely beating out Nitro.
SAW the ride on a bad day
Mind Blower Pre-Rmc
Ukko at Linnanmäki had a very bad rattle at the bottom of the drop last time i rode it.
Furious Baco outside seat was so bad I’ll never ride it again
SOB 2005.
I'm curious how Hades 360 compares lol
Night rides at the very back on outlaw run
I rallied Hades 360 with my boys like 20x in a row lol... it was am experience
after i have ride tornado at bakken i my brain says its good but bad at the same time but i thinks its good becauce it is intense but i haven t ride hades 360 but i would do it somedays
You don’t have to say your age
@@Operager but why not
I still have bruises from the beast as I type this, but it was a great ride. I need to get a night ride eventually.
D*** how does that even possible? There's barely any forces on the Beast.
X2 Outside seat. Just do the inside seat, even if you have to wait. (X2 is the only coaster that still scares the 💩 out of me)
Draken fire b.g. Williamsburg. I thought It was like Vortex at Kings Island where I could marathon it. No lol just one ride And I was hurt as could be.
Hades was way too rough for me to enjoy. I just wanted the pain to end.
Medusa and Discovery Kingdom and Gold striker at cga
Magnum xl-200 so good but so rough
