The lower body is an important part of producing power. Contrary to most instructors, bracing the body allows the upper body to produce the speed - not the speed of rotation.

About the Single Plane Golf Swing
The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.
Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.
This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.
The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.
To find out more about the Single Plane Swing, I have created a "Single Plane Pocket coach" that you can take to the range, or course, and learn the fundamentals of the swing. Find out more about the Pocket Coach here: SwingPocketGuide.com
LOL, wish this lesson was posted earlier, I just realized this a week ago before seeing this video that my consistency issue was caused by not using my feet and knees to start the backswing and transition into the down swing.
Now I want to video my back side view while doing my “rotation drills”….wondering what my sacrum is doing…LOL!😂
I’m still working to position two…so I do the drills to get a feel thru the finish position…By the way, you could charge so much more for the golf-on-demand app. I’m so grateful you keep your prices affordable for guys like me. LOVING the “Home School Series”!! Thanks TODD!!🙏😎
Just bought your book started reading about moe looking forward to getting to the drills CHEERS
Hi. I’ve been struggling to come to grips with the single plane swing. Sometimes the first tee nerves make me forget important components of what I have learned from you. Today however I played a round after watching your video of Moe seen from behind and during it you mentioned a three word phrase - brace, control, brace. I used that as my swing mantra today I and shot my best score ever i.e 101 of a handicap if 43. Your phrase was the glue that held my swing together. Thank you.
It makes you nervous because you know every golfer behind you watching is thinking “wtf is he doing with that janky set up….”
I like how from this perspective you can see the mechanisms of each knee movement.
me too.
Super, super stable. There is footage of Moe when he was younger, lifting the left heel (ala Jack Nicklaus) in the backswing and also Moe was parallel at the top. Curious why it is not taught any more, or perhaps this is not suited for the older target golfers? I think you did an earlier RUclips this year with that younger guy who pounds it 300+ he was parallel at the top. Just curious
Moe bent the lead arm which lengthened his swing. nothing wrong with that. Iifting the lead heel is not necessary and not something needed to teach rotation but it is ok if you do it.
I had to google what the sacrum was, Lol. Went out today with my swing camera and tried swinging while keeping my heel on the ground through impact...it feels like a 100% upper body swing! Lower half feels dead but my hips on camera still turn slightly even though my trail heel stays on the ground through impact. Completely new feel and backwards to every modern swing teaching theory. And I hit them well! Can't wait to practice and play with this
Nice.
If I successfully maintain the correct side bend throughout the swing, the swing seems to take care of itself (with fantastic results!). Come out of the side bend at any point and there is trouble ahead! Is that the same for you?
That is a big key for sure.
Great video! Thanks!
Thank you.
I was just talking to a gentleman that caddied for Moe three times, Dale being his first name.
Just ordered the book ,what's the best drills to practice till it arrives .Got the both alignment trainers and grip club .
Great! Let me know how else I can help. toddg@gravesgolf.com
Moe moves his left knee further than Graves
its a swing of momentum
