I still remember when this guy had a mustache. Honestly gotta say he’s had the most growth over the seasons experience and Knowledge wise , but honestly still think he’s a better Detective 🕵️♂️.
Do people realize most of these actors and actress were in svu episodes as different people before becoming cops. Like amenda and carisi. Alex novak was someone else on svu before they made her the ada.
Carisi took a long time to grow on me but he certainly has now. I loved the dynamic between him and Barba and I would love to see them on screen together again sometime (soon). Carisi's character development is wonderful and Peter Scanvino is an incredible actor.
@@rosepuff321That scene broke the suspension of disbelief for me because no way in hell would an ADA be suspects in dangerous situations. That's _literally_ the job of the police. *ADAs prosecute, not police*
In an uneven season, ADA Carisi has been the consistent bright spot in terms of character progression, and growth. He is the main reason I keep watching and aside from clunky, amateur writing that only happens when they are trying a force a trite romantic subplot, I just stupidly feel proud of him. Even the suits have gotten amazing. Love.
Agree except re: saying the romantic subplot is trite. Far from it! His relationship with Rollins has evolved very organically and is one of the wonderful things about his character’s development over the last 7 years, love it
I love love love Carisi now being the ada finally shutting down that revolving door and having one of there own in there 🥰 although I kinda wish he could still be both a cop and a lawyer lol
I will always love how incredibly sincere Peter/Carisi seems in his scenes. And he still has such a baby face despite his hair going gray. And in his first case, he won against frickin ex-Judge Barth.
I’ve been a fan of Law and Order SVU since the beginning. I can’t say how many times I’ve watched from the beginning. This show has gotten me through this Pandemic Crisis.....Amen.
I love Carisi. He such a talented actor. He comes at you with this tough guy cop and then he becomes book smart lawyer, that knows the ends and outs of almost every rape case that their is. He is the one reason why I watch the show.
I 💜💜💜💜 Sonny so much! I’m proud of how far his character has come since his first day. He’s smart, confident, sexy and great as both a lawyer and a 👮♂️cop. I know he still runs like a baby giraffe but him saving that girl from falling is my favourite scene from S21 because it shows that even though he’s a lawyer now being a cop is in his DNA and he still wants to save people. 💙💙💙💙
i still can't get over the fact that they replaced his badge and his gun with a briefcase for the name of god edit: i love the way the writers developed his character, don't get me wrong. but sonny carisi being a lawyer just seems... wrong
lisa, I personally think that it’s good character progression, especially when you look back at when he first arrived at the SVU. Interesting fact I read; the briefcase Carisi carries actually belongs to Peter Scanavino’s father :)

Wasn't happy to see Peter Scanavino become the next ADA - that role is like a revolving door and a quick exit off the show (Stone and Barba come to mind), but it's slowly growing on me - looking forward to next season and what happens with the SVU....

I just love this show if they take it off as well as all the other police shows I will be so disappointed in the system. Carisi is amazing as both coo and lawyer.
I highly doubt they would take Svu over the legal unrest everyone hates child molesters even other child molesters and rapists this show takes them down
Carisi is the most human character on this show. I just hope they don't 'Boomer-ize' him by (eg destroy him like the earnest young doctor on St. Elsewhere.)

To me, he's half cop, half lawyer. but i like it this way.
Same
Maybe he's Hannah Montana-ing it, having the best of both worlds.
Yep I agree too
He is sophisticated,
He is no Barbarian, its a kidding joke,...i miss Barber, i still have his matchbox: Chevrolét Caprice, Manhattan Business

I want to see more episodes when he had moustache.
Bro I remember when he was that janitor that was abused by the camp director looong before he was carisi
Baked Gecko 😂 totally forgot about that. He also made two other appearances in Law and order Spinoffs Intent/ Trial by Jury
He's a great detective, but that's what makes him a great ADA.

Carisi had his Elle Woods moment in the Markeevious Ryan's case, I was waiting for the 'Oh my God'. I love Carisi!

I find him really boring as a lawyer. I’d rather Barba returns as ADA.
It's not out of the blue, though. He was in law school the first episode we met him.
