Because of these teachings, which are post-graduate level, every time I see a Presbyterian church I smile and bless them. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to learn 🙏
I love reading these comments! I thought I was President of the "Bruce Gore Fan Club", but I see I have much competition for that position. Thank you, Bruce, for your great teaching and insights into God's word. Much love to you always!
All of us should spread the word of Bruce Gore's sermons concerning David. This is rare scholarship, and rare spiritual leadership. It is a wonder of the age we live in, that so many people can enjoy this fellowship, and be enriched by it.
This is a great study of David. I have made my own study of David's life and have not gleaned as much fruit as you present here. Thank you for sharing your presentations. Very much appreciated.
Dear Mr. Bruce Gore, so glad you are back in " action". Waiting for a long time and so joyful to see this studies. Please continue faithfully Mr. Gore, as we faithfully learn from you. Thank you and God Bless you
David has a song on his heart constantly and on his lips often. Your anecdote about your dad and the harp illustrates what God means,. I've never thought much about David in this detail. Apparently, one of the differences between Homo Spapien and Neanderthal is music: Neanderthal had no apparent musical apptitude reflected by the absence of bone flutes.
If I would reword your phrase about all big men being trouble makers, I would say that not all the successful men are hypocrites but all hypocrites are successful. I doubt that the Absolute Looser could be an hypocrite. Thank you for the lecture.
I'm confused about the "school" of Samuel. Where did you get this information about Samuel's school? BTW: your videos are the most fascinating, informative, necessary, interesting, helpful, and exhorting material I have ever heard (outside of the Bible). I'm a homeschooling mom and teacher and God has lead me to your videos and book and website. What a BLESSING!!!
Great question. 1 Samuel 19:18ff shows that Samuel presided over a school for prophets. It seems most probable that he established the school as no prior mention of the school is found in scripture. In addition, the brief obituary of Samuel at his burial place in Ramah states the point directly. It has also been the widespread understanding in Jewish history (e.g., Josephus). It is the view generally taken in commentaries on 1 Samuel (e.g., the Pulpit Commentary, Keil and Delitzsch, etc.). Thank you for your very kind and encouraging feedback! God's richest blessings to you in your important work!
1 Samuel 16:13 cf Daniel 7:13. This is an example of the Holy Ghost at play with what I've described to you as Mundane Numerology, that is, the numbers of chapters and verses added in the 16th Century post Guternberg.

Even a Presbyterian gets a few things right. I am enjoying these Old Testament lectures.
...yeah, kinda like a broken clock. Thanks for the feedback!

I thought I knew the Bible well. But Bruce teaches me how little I know. Thanks for making these videos available. God bless.
May Father YAHweh bless your understanding and show you His Resurrected Son.
Love these teachings! Thank you for sharing these!

Would love to hear Bruce's thoughts on Saul enquiring with the "Witch of Endor"...was the doom of Saul.
Yes, that presentation is definitely in the pipeline! Thanks.

I was wondering if you ever did 1 Samuel 1 to 1 Samuel 15. I cannot seem to find it.

I'm teaching our women's Bible study group 1 Samuel 16, which is why I have to double check the information I'm teaching them.
