We had these OGO balls at the ski resort I worked at in Pennsylvania when I retired in 2008. We had a few of the water balls and a couple of the balls where one person was strapped into a seat in the ball and you went down the hill end over end. We called that one the "vomit express". The water balls were the most popular as you could put several people in the ball at one time. The water used in the balls came from one of the wells, it was 57 degrees Fahrenheit, okay in the summer, not so refreshing in late autumn. We were one of the only facilities in the USA to have this feature. The company that developed the technology and manufactured the balls was located in your homeland, New Zealand. Very interesting to see them in your video, I hope you enjoyed the ride.

@@mikeandjoelle. Although the material used to construct the balls was quite heavy gauge they would occasionally get punctured. A specialist had to be called in to make the repair as our staff was not authorized to work on them. We always ran two or three balls in rotation depending on how busy we were with "victims". The "catchers" at the bottom of the hill had a tough job since they had to stop the ball, get the people out, empty out the water, and then push it onto the waiting trailer to be taken back up the hill for another run.

15.6 degrees C is not cold. Try a dip in an ice hole you cut in a frozen Canadian lake. Or a Finish sauna and a roll in powdered snow at minus 20 degrees C. Hot tubs at minus 20 or colder are fun, getting out not so much. Looks like you folks had fun, thanks for sharing.

I'm surprised that you didn't get upset when you're son got in the ball and when down the hill
Haha he had just done the windy track to the left of that track by himself so she was ok with the one we filmed. It was the fast straight track.
I was in NZ in 1994 including in the Rotorua area. Is a place with an active volcano, is part of the 'ring of fire' of the Pacific Rim, explains the hot mud, steam, and sulfurous 'fart' smell in the area. Enjoyed a hot tub where I was staying, saw a Maori show. Another beautiful area of NZ. You guys area great ambassadors of your country. You need to show us more of your country as many will never be able to get there and enjoy it.
