I’ll remind ppl that the ankle issues which, to my knowledge, is the only real complaint ppl had with the original MG Exia. Like the knees of the original Unicorn Ver ka, they were fixed in every subsequent release that used the frame since. I’ve built multiple iterations of the MG Exia including Dark Matter, Exia Avalanche, Daban Avalanche, and now this. Having just received this kit myself, I can say that, other than the head, shoulders, and front skirts, it uses the entire inner frame of the Exia, which isn’t surprising to anyone. I’ll point out that it also comes with the parts to fully build the Exia’s GN Drive, GN Long/Short swords, the GN Sword, and Exia shield as well as the parts to make the Dynames sniper rifle, sans the clear part on the scope. They went all in to make this thing stand up in detail to the modern 00 MGs and it has waterslide decals. While the Exia inner frame is 13 years old, I don’t think it’s anywhere near top of the list of MGs that need a 2.0 release. It still holds up quite nicely.
I personally prefer HG/RG for the size and amount of available mobile suits. That said I enjoy MG’s and always try to buy any of my favorite suits in that grade too, and I feel like Bandai does drag their feet when it comes to pumping out new MG’s. I know if takes a little longer for the MG development and design but jeez.
i have a feeling bandai is perfectly fine with the exia's frame with the rate in which they are reprinting its derivative designs like all the repair vrs and now astraea. all this talk about 2.0 exia just feels like an echo chamber because i built the daban astraea and the bandai avanlanche exia and its not what i consider a bad build. the mg wing kits imo are a lot worse, the seed destiny kits are also far worse and i think way more deserving of an MG 2.0 considering strike's RM frame did wonders for expanding the seed line with buster, assault, and blitz , and the freedom 2.0 frame is one of the best frames ever. a seed destiny 2.0 would be amazing for redoing all the classic gundams like strike freedom, destiny, infinite justice, every version of impulse, etc
This is also a sign that Bandai might release a latest alteration of Exia. I'm getting the same feel as to what they did with the WZC ver ka before releasing it. Milked the old frame/version of the wzc like a few months before announcing the ver ka 🤷🏻♂️
we need 2.0's of nearly every stardust memory kit (zephyrantes, stamen, gp02) way more than we need a 2.0 exia. that said, the OG exia is really not their best work, and i think that people are only complaining because we're so spoiled these days by phenomenal construction. bandai is showing themselves up and constantly reminding everyone about it.
@@devinchadwick9147 imo exia is decent for a 2009 kit. i would rather build its derivatives than the MG EW kits that came after it by a long shot. people love the EW kits and bandai keeps making alt versions but they are so much worse tech wise than exia
@@Jaynesslessly Bandai's likely not making 2.0 exia. Because the older inner frame is not visible when you finish the build. And the current mg exia's outer detailing; it's armor details, and styling, and proportions are identical to the newer mg Dynames, Virtue, and Kyrios.
I love the Astraea type F it’s my most fave design from 00 but the only thing I hate about the OG exia frame is the neck articulation SUCKS!! And I love having my Gundam kits looking down with a Pissed off look and the MG exia Just can’t little with Dark matter but still not enough PG kills it though but damn I’m hoping maybe they give a new Neck…please
I have been waiting for this MG for the longest so I preordered it. Wondering when the white Astraea is going to be released and what about a roll out color Exia, too.
i think bandai doesnt plan making a 2.0 MG Exia but intead they gonna make an MG Exia Ver. Ka like they did on MG wing gundam EW units but still no one knows what the hell they gonna do next as they are still busy milking to many variants of damn gundam unicorns LMAO
This kind of feels like what they did on WZC. Milked the old WZC prior announcing the ver ka. I'm having this feeling that they'd release a new exia soon. Lel
The OG Exia frame is "not structurally sound" so this kit is gonna be lacking on that aspect. I think they could have easily retool the dynames/kyrios/virtue frame for 2.0 Exia but they gonna milk that frame for a couple more years... then do Exia 2.0. If you think the MG frame is dated even the Metal Build Exia frame is outdated compare to the new ones.. but they keep milking the MB one too
This one actually looks kinda good. Never liked the designs in 00, but this one is trying to really fit the idea of a purpose build war machine first but falls into the trap of trying to look edgy and "too cool" second with 1416 accessories. This is why it is suffering a bit like Destiny Gundam - trying to be 1000 things in one. Like pick up a theme and ride with it. Is it a close combat mech? Or artillery mech like Buster Gundam? Maybe a more strike and run guerilla style like the Hyaku Shiki or agile range support fighter like Zeta? Flight based mech for superiors combat in planet based atmospheres like XI? Or just a Gary Stu style mech piloted by some Jesus messiah like a certain someone. The whole package gives me Unicorn vibes, and frankly I am tired of Unicorn at this point.
It's a prototype for testing purposes and simulations that keeps getting repurpose even after the events of Gundam OO anime cuz amongst the 2nd gen Gundam, it is the most flexible as it was initially a CQC suit, the prototype to Exia, where they just need to swap stuff.
One of the pilot of the Astraea and the main character is also an edgy bad boy so there's that. Also the original colors of the Astraea gives a different vibe.
Not bad at all IMO. But I hear a lot of complaints not sure why. Bandai might have an update to 2.0 soon since it’s been a while, and that’s the only reason to wait.
Kaiju you need to be careful right now, Japanese anime studio gone crazy for copyright...155 video "Totally not Mark" got copyright and it worth 2 year work.
hey! thanks for the heads up! Yeah I was just looking at that last night...need to tread lightly with footages. 155 videos is harsh 👀. and rules on youtube is always changing. youtube is not the wildwest it once was anymore.
From what I hear this release is using the old MG GN-001 Gundam Exia which is expected but definitely not the ideal situation. What I think a lot of people wanted is an MG GN-001 Gundam Exia [Ver2.0] to match the MG 00 kits. Then they should've made this MG using that. Besides with an MG GN-001 Gundam Exia [Ver2.0] Bandai has PLENTY of P-Bandai variants and add on sets ... Wait... LUL Watch Bandai make an MG GN-001 Gundam Exia [Ver2.0] and then release conversion parts and add on sets for these and make them not compatible with this release. 😐 Either way, I'm probably going to buy multiples of the MG GNY-001F Gundam Astraea Type F (Full Weapon Set) and the MG Avalanche Unit for Gundam Astraea Type F to be able to recreate: - GNY-001F Gundam Astraea Type F (with sensor) - GNY-001F Gundam Astraea Type F (without sensor) - GNY-001F2 Gundam Astraea Type F2 - GNY-001F/hs-A01 Gundam Avalanche Astraea Type F - GNY-001F/hs-A01D Gundam Avalanche Astraea Type F Dash It'll be expensive but worth it since I'm a big 00 fan. I presume we might even end up with an MG for: - GNY-001 Gundam Astraea (w/ optional parts to make Type A & Type B) - GNY-001FB Gundam Astraea Type F Black ...etc
@xxnike629xx It's just a sad thing that in the end, you'll still refuse to build a kit again even if all of your _wishlists_ got granted... Thanks to you still being *REKT* by your *COWARDICE* towards building a kit again 🤣
TBH I want to get it but with all the reviews about the MG Exia having poor stability and the Astrea is using the the Exia’s frame, I am hesitant about it
MG Exia is fine, I'm not sure why so many people are complain about it. However, it is old and might soon be updated so I think that's a good reason to wait to avoid buyer's remorse.

The Daban version comes with more weapons and more shields.
Daban 🤮 shamelessly. ripped off metal builds. Ew
Just bought this bad boy. Not too jazzed about the avalanche kit.
I bought the daban KO which is based off the meatal build. Has its issues. But looks really good.

Yeah, I like the weapons but this is a no go... if it had the new GN Frame, (the 2.0 GN Frame) from MG Dynames, Nadleeh & Kyrios... maybe..
almost certain they'll milk p bandai exit r4 before the entire season 2 00 gundam is even close to "plan for production"
Are u Singaporean?
No, average Singaporean’s English level is better than average Americans 😂

I mean not sure why... It's abit late, like what you said great kit but Daban already stole the metal frame design and also being like 70% exia.
