Remember to take pictures of the damage, so they can't charge you when you move out. And you could also try and ask your landlord if there's anything you can get rid of i.e. things the last tenant left behind. So you don't have to use all of your wardrobe space on hiding furniture😅💛

@@RohitKumar-zv9ns lol no one is hating. Its just the majority of the population and the people who watch her videos are those who cant afford to live expensive lifestyles. In London England -- the housing is expensive. So her apartment is probably the most realistic. I am a viewer of hers and I appreciate her for being honest and real. She shows the bad sides and before version of her apartment, instead of only showing the good. Todays world the media portrays everyones life to be picture perfect but in reality that is not the case. And she has been open about her life multiple times on her channel.

I’m so confused, are tenants not required to clear and clean places before you rent them in the UK? In Australia you have to have the place professionally cleaned and unless its landlords furniture you aren’t allowed to leave anything behind.

Yes they are required to do so, but landlords rarely check whether it’s been cleaned/cleared, sadly.

I don't know where you live but in the UK, a lot of flats are already furnished by the owner of flat. So these are things you cannot get rid off.

I started watching Taz a long time ago, when she only posted spoken word poems, and she was a big reason why I started writing and sharing them on RUclips as well. To see her grow so much, especially over the last year, makes me so proud of her and happy. Because she genuinely seems happy, even with some more difficult moments, we can get to happiness, if we put in some effort and I think Taz shows that in such a relatable way 😊

You need some accessories for that home! Some nice art/rugs/throws/cushions/lighting and house plants to take advantage of all that natural light! Something to add some personality - the space has so much potential but it looks so stark, dated and basic right now! Look forward to seeing an update!

Thank you for showing the one you didn't get but loved and your reaction to it. Six months ago my fiance and I were looking for somewhere to move cause our last place was too small and not great and we had a couple of disappoinments trying to find the one we finally got. We love our current place, we made it ours and it helped so much with our mental health (crazy how environment takes a part on it!) I'm so happy for you!
The "meet the landlord" part is actually a little unusual. Not sure why they did that, maybe just because they had a number of applicants. The agent should have let you know that you didn't get it! Unprofessional. For the one you got in the end, didn't you have to do any referencing? In the video you went right to the tenancy agreement...

@@iviefirestarter It's unusual to have a "meet the landlord" session, like an interview. You might meet the landlord by chance, for example if they are doing viewings themselves. But you don't usually see people having to meet the landlord as an exercise to help the landlord choose which tenant to take. It's very unusual, at least in my experience - and I've moved about 10 times in the last 10 years.

Zippy Cohen for a whole house that makes sense but for a flat it’s just insane, mines a houseshare but it’s a double room in a big house with a spare room and garden in a nice area, if I had that amount of excess money I’d be saving for a deposit for sure because the mortgage p/m will be at least half of the rent of a studio apartment and you’re actually paying it off to own!

hahaha man THAT is actually the reality of flats in London!! I love that you always keep it real! A lot of people expect to find refurbished and spotless apartments at an affordable price in the city but GUESS WHAT it doesn't work like that 😂 when I moved to my flat in zone 3 I spent 3 weeks non stop cleaning and throwing stuff from the previous tenants away 🥲 guys, don't set your expectations based on a bunch of "apartment tours" which in my opinion are rather unrealistic and unaffordable for regular people like us and the 90% of this world 😅

But the current place is also lovely! So much light and space! I know you will have lots of good moments there :) the only thing I would change: the sofa cover! It’s a bit... gray haha! Hi Taz, I'm a new subscriber. While still catching up on all your previous videos, I always look forward to new ones. I can't explain in words how much I relate to you and what it means to me to watch your videos. I was literally just gonna go to bed crying, depressed (falied driving test for the 5th time for one mistake) without having dinner (I hit a new low every day), while I thought I should try to eat something otherwise won't be able to go to work tomorrow morning. and thought let's check up youtube for new videos, and there it was the first video on my suggestions. I can't write how happy and excited I felt at that moment. I've been waiting for this video as myself been moved to London from Birmingham 3 years ago with a lot of dreams in a luggage. I could relate sooooooo much, even if I managed to rent a one bed studio apartment on my own for a while, I've come back to house sharing due to budget issues. And believe me or not, I had the same bed in my studio (better mattress lol). I was so lucky with my flat in London! SE is cheaper but I have started in my 1 bed new conversion for £1300 unfurnished. After 2 years my landlord needed to raise financing and I jumped to buy it. My parents were pleased about the property ladder and stuff. Honestly, I’m just pleased to put pictures up and finally get a puppy.
Slum landlords in London make me so mad. The quality of the flats is terrible for the money you pay. I lived in London for 9 years and had 0 savings but had the best years of my life. But now I’m renting a gorgeous 2 bed modern flat outside of London with my partner and I commute in for RUclips meetings & auditions. I wish you the best lovely, you’re such a joy to watch xx
