Oh man. I gotta say recording this one was *cathartic*! When I was recording the first half, I was coming to the end of an exhausting day and practically forcing myself to record. Just like Ollanius must have been dragging himself through the battles that preceded his encounter with Horus. But when I was recording that final Chorus? I was *m o t i v a t e d*. I dug in my heels in front of the microphone, summoned all my anger towards all the tyrants and bullies and monsters that have somehow found a way to rule the world we live in, and let em' have it the way Ollanius must have let Horus have it. Ollanius knew he had virtually no chance of actually beating Horus on his own. He must have known that his words of defiance towards the Lupercal would likely be his last, and none would have faulted him for getting the hell out of the way. But that wasn't how our boy Olly P rolled. He stood up anyway. He gave the evil before him his all, even if that wasn't much on its own. And even if he was tossed aside, his act was what pushed the Emperor to do what needed to be done. I want to be more like Ollanius. If more folks took his attitude towards doing what was right, I think we'd have a much happier, more just world.
I am not the biggest fan of your songs on the channel, but this one was beautiful. Good job. You can really hear the passion that went into this one, and I applaud that.

The Emperor: "He must be referring to that regular old imperial soldier that stepped in front of fucking Horus when he was about to finish me off after he used some dirty Chaos contrivances to punt me down on the ground. For being a regular human, that man had such titanic fucking balls that I want to clap my hands vigorously just thinking about it."
Considering good ol’ Ollie was a perpetual who lived through the Age of Strife, and possibly even the Unification Wars, the Collapse of the Dark Age of Technology, the Revolt of the Men of Iron, and who know how much of human history. That line works so well if you take it as meaning he’s not referring to dealing with Horus specifically, but just the fight to keep humanity alive in a galaxy that seems to hate it.
" Somewhere in the universe a coin flip lands on its side. Somewhere in the universe a drop of water saves a life. Somewhere in the universe a pebble stops a landslide. Maybe it is because someone believed hard enough. Maybe it is because everything is secretly fair. Maybe it is because the universe is a vast place. Yesterday, I was very cold. Yesterday, I was very hungry. Yesterday, I wanted to run away. Today, I am going to believe hard enough. Today, a pebble will stop a landslide. Today, I am not going anywhere."
imagine if they made a Horus Herasy gamefrom the point of view of a guardsman, and you think your suppose to be playing just one of many generic guardsmen until the very last level brings you to the Vengeful Spirit, and you are met with the image of Horus standing over Sanguinius corpse
Horus scoffed at this challenge and obliterated the soldier where he stood. Tens of thousands more will take his place, only to join him in death. He looked to his father, about to offer him the same oblivion. The Emperor was not looking at him, nor even at the lifeless shell of Sanguinius. He stares at where that one Imperial soldier stood between him and the arch-traitor. A man of impossible bravery and selflessness, snuffed out as though his entire existence amounted to nothing more than an inconvenience. Horus froze as the Emperor finally looked to him. The hesitation, the fatherly love that still lingered, none of it remained. Only the Emperor’s fury, hatred and psychic might. In this moment, Horus realised…he had already lost.
Empeor: You just murdered... a man... a man somuch more then you... will ever be... and shows more courage then you show now... that man could have watched me die, or fled... he instead drew your ire away, and took your blow... and you think him as an inconvenience?! In King Lear (III:vii) there is a man who is such a minor character that Shakespeare has not given him even a name: he is merely “First Servant.” All the characters around him - Regan, Cornwall, and Edmund - have fine long-term plans. They think they know how the story is going to end, and they are quite wrong. The servant has no such delusions. He has no notion of how the play is going to go. But he understands the present scene. He sees an abomination (the blinding of old Gloucester) taking place. He will not stand it. His sword is out and pointed at his master’s breast in a moment: then Regan stabs him dead from behind. That is his whole part: eight lines all told. But if it were real life and not a play, that is the part it would be best to have acted.” - C.S. Lewis
A mortal man armed with nothing but a laser Rifle and balls of Pure Auremite, stood in front of the champion of the chaos Gods and spat in its face. Fucking Legend.
When Stringstorm & Co are able to turn something epic into something more epic: "Oh good, guardsman go epic resistance" *Inside the Vengeful spirit's halls* "OH MY! YESSSSSSSSSSS!"
I knew before he mentioned the Vengeful spirit because I knew there was only 1 event about a Guardsman epic enough to be made into a song before other things like the Ork wars for Armageddon, the Drop Site Massacre, Fulgrim's duel with Ferrus Manus, the Flight of the Eisenstein, etc.
"Strike me down, I am the harbinger!" feels like something the entire creative community of warhammer is saying lately, considering the events that have transpired.
@GigiGiga I would not cast all of GW with the people who took that decision, this is purely happening because of Warhammer +. The hobby and game in itself did not cause this!
@@sirreaper3067 GW going bankrupt and losing their IPs would be the best thing to happen to the community in decades. I would go as far as to say even Disney would handle them better than GW does.

Honestly, the Legend of Ollianius Pius always amazed me, for the simple fact that eons of waiting and planning, could all be thwarted by one man Imagine yourself as the Chaos Gods, grooming Horus to be your ultimate champion, setting in motion plans as old or even older than the Primarchs and finally having ultimate victory within your grasp: the Death of your Anathema. To finally rid yourself of your greatest enemy, the God Emperor of Mankind himself. Your Champion has him dead to rights; The Space Marine Legions? Split and weakened by Civil War. Terra? Finally bested after a brutal siege the likes of which mankind had never seen. The Primarchs? Corrupted or misled. The legendary Custodes? Too few to prevent the inevitable. The Astartes? Fallen, like their Gene-Fathers. The Emperor's own Angel? Beaten and bloodied, lying dead on the ground, massacred by Horus' power. All of Earth's Might could not stand between Horus and the Emperor. And then *he* steps in: A lowly mortal. A single man. Unmodified, armed with weapons that couldn't even scratch the mighty Warmaster of Chaos, clad in armour that couldn't even protect him from a flick of Horus' fingers. A simple Human. Worthless, useless, weak. And yet... he puts himself between the fallen son and his Father. And he commands Horus to not make a further step. He ORDERS a living Demigod of Chaos to halt. And you know what? This lowly Mortal made the Gods of Chaos FLINCH. Because he proved that, so long as there was one man left standing, as long as one brave warrior believed in Mankind's dream and courage, Chaos could never win. Ollianus might've died that day, but he sent the Chaos Gods a message that would haunt them until the End of Days: Humanity would not lose hope. And with hope, they would stand triumphantly amidst the stars. Because a single man stopped the End. Because a Pebble stopped a Landslide. Because the Courage of Humanity is undefeatable. So long as the last man stands, so long stands the Imperium
I really hope that the writers of the horus heresy novels know that they need to make Ollanius pius a normal human. GW tends to really want to make everything Space marines, but this only works if its a normal human with no abilities or powers (an not a perpetual)
@@athingwhichexistsHe wasn’t a normal person, he was a Perpetual named Ollanius Persson. Ollanius Pius is a myth created by the Imperium not knowing what actually happened on the Vengeful Spirit. There were no normal humans fighting with the Emperor aboard that ship.
@@addisonwelsh The lore of Ollanius has changed A LOT and has been extremely contradictory. ORIGINALLY he was just a normal human, then he was removed, then he was replaced with a space marine, then with a custodes, then with a perpetual, then with a space marine again. As of right now there are 4 canon version of ollanius all relatively new: Ollanius is a regular unspecial human (the most popular version) as seen from fantasy flight, Ollanius being a perpetual (the very controversial "new lore" written by Dan Abnett who likes super hero esque stuff, and doesn't care much for the guard), Loken the space Marine which seems to be what the Horus Heresy Novels are going to be going with, and a custodes which is the other contender the horus heresy series is attempting to use. Him being a perpetual is extremely new, and has been extremely controversial (only about 1/6th of the community is ok with it, the rest hate it) Point is this: Him being a perpetual is dumb, it doesn't work.. Same goes for the custodes and space marine variants. Giving him any special abilities or quarks like that takes away from his story and sacrifice. It goes from a single lowly human who managed to alter the course of history through his selflessness and actions, to just a normal super hero. All the meaning, theming, all of the weight and power behind the story is lost the second he is made more than just your average human. Its along the lines of comparing superman with steve. One is a hero who of course can save the world, we've all seen it before. Steve on the other hand, he has no powers, he works a job like everyone else, has a family like everyone else, is unremarkable in everyway, but a story of Steve sacrificing his life to save the world says a lot more than a story of another superman doing the same. Now then, as for your statement that there were no humans fighting with the emperor on the vengeful spirit: 1. at the moment the fact that the fight even happened on the vengeful spirit may not be kept as canon, the location of this fight has changed drastically over the years (the fight happening int he golden throne is still the one that makes the most sense), and it is still under subject to change until the book of the fight actually comes out (Thats right, the book of the Emperors confrontation with Horus hasn't been written yet, hence the request for a normal Ollanius Pius). 2. Even with the fight being on the vengeful spirit some books claim there were normal humans while others don't. 3. I think all of this has made it clear 40k lore is a hot contradictory mess with very little hard canon in its history. If you wish to interpret it the way you stated: congrats good for, I feel sad that you won't accept the far more meaningful variant that the rest of the community goes with, but thats good for you I guess.
I was enjoying this song and was wondering what it referred to. Me: "Ah, song about a guardsman. Neat." Me: "Oh, this is during the Heresy. Cool." Me: "...it's "him". He that shielded the Emperor from the Arch-Traitor. ... His sacrifice..." Tears were shed.
He saw Horus standing over the corpse of a primarch, about to kill the emperor and his immediate reaction is “Oi fight me you fuckin bitch” The greatest mistake the enemies of man make is underestimating “mere” mortals.
The Pious one. The First Warmaster. The Last Catheric. The First Guardsman. He might've been just an Oll Perrson, but he was also one of the last vestiges of humanity as it once was.
The Psudo-Pope sacrificed himself to save the Emperor from his son who was going through a rebellious phase. *sounds like some Fanfic shit, but it's canon*
Relly that last religious man in the galaxy was the one who defended an atheist super power from a demon empowered man. I'm shocked that gw would allow such a story. 100 likes yeah never got this before.
Let us get a couple of things clarified: - TTS is not cancelled. - Alfa did not receive any messages to stop. - It was voluntarily put into indefinite hiatus because of the change in policy. - And it will stay that way for until it loosens up. - If we want to see change, keep harshly criticizing the company but do it in a civilized way. - Physical letters, emails, buy second hand, make it known on their social media. - But do not, under any circumstance, harrass, attack, or go after the employees. - I will not be going anywhere. - I'll be expanding so expect songs not based on their IP. I'll still keep making the usual songs, though. Don't you worry. - Harbinger is not a statement, but I cannot stop people from interpreting it how they want to interpret it. - Preserving art is not bad. But preserve the artist too. Art does not need food or a home. Artists do.

Ollanius should've been so scared of Horus that he wouldn't have been able to move, but as the old saying goes; "an astartes acts without fear, a guardsman acts without hesitation".
“Your lives are ours….give into your lust for power, for blood… *give in.”* The Guardsman was tempted. Before him and his comrades, the hordes gathered; fallen Space Marines, unspeakable horrors from the Warp, and their own people who turned towards the Dark Gods. But did they waver? Nay, they did not! For they knew that every Heretic and Traitor and horror they killed was one more person that could escape from their doomed planet. Was it hopeless? Perhaps. Would they die? Oh, most certainly. But in the Emperor’s Light, ones faith must not waver! It is at this moment the Guardsmen remembered the Guardsman’s Angel, Ollanius Pius; even when facing the Arch-Traitor himself, he did not waver. No, he stood his ground! And so, just like that one Imperial Army trooper held the line for his Emperor, so too did the Guardsmen hold the line. Just as they had done for 10,000 years. “Ave Imperator.”
AND THEY SHALL HOLD THAT LINE FOR TEN THOUSAND YEARS MORE THE GATE OF HELL BROKE AND WE SLAMMED THEM SHUT THE GRATE DEVOUR BAIRED DOWN ON THE GALAXY AND WE DROWNED IT IN OUR BLOOD THE LONG DEAD TERRORS OF THE GALAXY ROSE FROM THERE TOMBS AND BLASTED THEM FROM OUR PLANETS THIS GALAXY IS OURS!
It's rarely mentioned that Ollanius Pius *fucking died.* His corpse was hurled across the room, every bone broken, blood streaming from his body. But, in Death, he did his duty, for ten more did indeed take his place, and a hundred theirs. Truly, he was the harbinger.

Guardsmen are like ants to a Daemon Primarch. On the other hand, about a hundred people are killed by ants each year, so isn't that an intersting statistic, Horus?

It is the eternal shame of the Custodes that no golden-suited warrior stood between the Arch-Traitor and the Master of Mankind. It is the greatest embarrassment of the Astartes that they could not prevent Horus from entering the Palace. It is the eternal pride of the Astra Militarum that, between the Emperor and His traitorous son, stood the last of the Solar Auxila, and the first of the Imperial Guard.
The Custodes and Astartes are living weapons forged from and to mimic the form of man Guardsmen are but Human The Primarchs are superhuman and that is why they fell, because the Emperor didn't see them as a superior form of humans but as living wepons akin to the Astartes and Custodes
I do reckon it was fitting that an Astarte Terminator and a Custodes threw themselves in the way like the Army Soldier who had his wits about him to do it first. Horus fired three shots!
This guardsmen had serious balls to take on Horus and everything else and not fall into despair. Many would break and route at this situation yet those loyal soldiers stood tall and fought to the death not giving up no matter how bleak their situation it is truly inspiring to see these brave men and women fight so hard and with such ferocity to humble even the gods. Ollanius Pius was sick, his heart in his stomach and the blood of his friends, his brothers in arms, his long lost hero’s covered his coat, yet he pushed on, marines and soldiers fought behind him, he could only push forward. The horrors he has thus seen, and yet to see, flickering in his thoughts, he could only push forward. There in front of him, slain guards of the emperor, and fallen blood angels, the way their corpses were disfigured and torn to shreds, he could only push forward. He pauses for a moment, hearing clashing in front of him, he checks his las-gun, only a tiny charge left, and not a single extra power pack… he curses and the clashing stops in front of him, he can only push forward. He bursts into the room, bodies of every kind strewn across this once beautiful room, corrupted by its leader… he sees the rooms owner, Horus…. in a flash, he notices the corpse of the angel, the battle master standing over his Emperor, He Can Only Push Forward. Without a thought, not a single fraction of hesitation, his feet moving and his voice vibrating without him telling them to… He screams louder then he thought possible, all this anger, all this hate for what he’s seen, that knot in his stomach and that weight on his chest, it’s just all undone. He Pushes Forward “TRAITOR!” He says His breath like fire, his eyes burning like Sol itself, his heart has turned into solid ceramite. “Face me coward!” The Emperor, in his weakened state, notices the Soldier for the first time… Horus, who knew he was there since the moment he heard him fiddling with his toy in the hallway, scoffed “You wish to die for your emperor?” Pius, his faith, the last of its kind, fully invigorating him, he looked upon the war master, whom stood 10 feet over him, his armor and weapons so large he could be killed in an instant, the aura of taint and sin surrounding him, yet he still looked him dead into the eyes as he spat, lasgun firmly in hand! “Where I fall, ten more shall take my place! And one hundred each of them! So strike me down! I am the harbinger!” At that moment, the War-master twisted, his small amusement turned annoyance, and like a bug that is too close to one’s food, Horus struck at the soldier, as if to swat him away… Pius, the normal, average, loyal soldier, crumbled where he stood, a single line showed where Horus had struck him… Horus turned back to his father, happy with himself because of his own power, gloating in his own mind, looked down and saw something that very quickly soured his mood… The emperor, staring, not at the Angel, not at Horus, not even noticing the other marines or soldiers or the Custodes trying to reach him, nor the ones on the ground slain No He looked in amazement of this single human, this one man who stood up to great evil, who looked into oblivion, and didn’t blink He rose, to both the Emperor and Horus’ shock, his gaze finally rested back to Horus… The light, the sadness and compassion, the hesitation, in that moment, died inside the Emperor His pity for this creature before him was ceased, his eyes burned like stars going super nova, his whole body shook like his very being couldn’t contain the energy he was producing, steam and smoke from the pure concentration filled the area, he rose to fight, and instead of trying to wound, he was going to kill. Horus, previously proud and confident in his victory, quickly realized… he had lost, he had made a mistake, and there was no going back… he was dead before he could even utter a single word… That, was the story of the man Ollanius Pius, the one they call… The Harbringer!
The Guardsmen are actually the true heroes of this setting. It was that realization that made the Emperor obliterate Horus. The realization that it wasnt his genetically enhanced supersoldiers, his warp infused demigod sons or even himself the greatest warriors of Mankind. It was the GUARDSMEN, the regular men and women that have the balls to stand up even against literal Gods. This made the Emperor smile. He didn't need to improve Mankind, for we were already great.

It's the Horus Heracy if I'm correct. The Siege of Holy Terra. The traitor is Warmaster Horace Luprical himself. And his liege the God emperor himself.
@@sosocorny9877 gw is killing fair use protected content that many people are enjoying. Why is it dumb to be angry about gw's actions to strangle all fan made animations?
Great hymn for the imperium of Man, fear not denizens, Lord Alfabusa is very much like commissar Ciaphas Cain, by imperial decree, he is never considered "dead". He'll return...
A more suitable moment for this song could not be, GW may strike us down but were one stands ten more shall take his place, and a hundred for each of them, we shall never be broken, brothers
I just realized that this song is about Ollanius Pius, a guardsman who went onboard The Vengeful Spirit æduring the Horus Heresy. Here he saw Lupercal stand above the broken Emperor, as well as the body of Sanguinius. As lupercal was about to kill the Emperor, Ol' Pius jumped in between sacrificing himself. The highest order of the the Imperium is named after him. A great piece of music, which is great at giving an idea of what Pius thought when he saw the Emperor.
I don’t know how u do it but everytime i hear your stuff the 1st time is meh but it somehow gets better with time by the 5th time it’s already on repeat and I’m determined to hear this song for the next week
That's the thing with StringStorm's works. The first time, they're good but not overly impressive. But they are catchy and you listen to them again. And you start hearing more and more that was put in and you can feel the raw emotions that were put into the music. As if he is able to channel the characters he is singing about, allowing them to be the ones to bring out their souls and sing out their lyrics.
"RAISE YOUR MAUL, FALLEN ONE, AND FIGHT!" To be honest I kinda interpret this in 2 things. 1. Obviously, Ollanius the Guardsman challenging the Fallen Warmaster Horus in a duel to protect the God Emperor. 2. Ollanius convincing the God Emperor, who at this moment is now weakened and beaten to the pulp by Horus so bad, to stand up and keep on fighting.
Took me some time to figure out what this song was about while listening to it. When it clicked though. Damn this song is epic and fitting for the greatest moment of humanity fuck yeah in all of 40k.
I am just a simple guardsmen. A small cog in the machine. Yet if all those other little cogs play there part we will grind the enemies of man into dust...
I can never understand Cpl. Corgi's voice. It always sounds rough on the first listening, but the more you pay attention, the better it gets and his chorus' are so empowering. I wouldn't hesitate to say that of the regular roster, he nails the feeling behind the character singing uniquely well. Obviously the writing is stellar, but in this, Months of Shame, Vilified and Lamenters he really manages to bring character to the words. The music gives these songs the oomph they need, the lyrics make them interesting and infinitely repeatable, but the singing makes them a story and an experience.
Wait, this gives me an idea: Games Workshop specifically forbade “Fan _Animations”,_ but what about fan _Audio?_ Like Music and Voxcasts? Those should still fly under the radar, correct?
@@DM-mi4je Over _what_ exactly? Nothing’s “animated” or “monetized”. Hell, it could just be a TTS Voxcast set to the background of a Starcraft marine fornite dancing with the title saying *NOT A WARHAMMER 40K ANIMATION* and legally that _should_ skirt by, at least under current GW IP regulations, RAW.
@@DM-mi4je Actually, you wanna know something I find pretty confusing about this? So the developers of the game _Stellaris_ hired and paid Alfa to produce a _Stellaris_ special. All the characters there were basically ported over from the usual TTS, but the only connections to 40k are the assumption that it’s everyone playing the actual Stellaris game from their own universe. My point is that, _If Alfa’s channel, god forbid, gets taken down, Wouldn’t the Stellaris developers be within their rights to press on with legal action, considering a property of their own, that they personally approved and financed, has been directly attacked/affected by GW as collateral damage?_
GW's purge is one that only affects content that overlaps with the "Official Stuff", so music should be safe untill GW starts composing and gathering musicians to undo this part of the community. For now, these people are our last line of defense, these brave men and women of the Fandom fighting the ruinous powers of Corrupt Capitalism.
"As the hordes draw near I will know no fear Outnumbered and outgunned - We shall remain until the day is won! As insects they may see us But we will fight as one On this day, we're Godkillers - We shall see their plan undone! I've sang these verses so many times while playing games. It's just so fitting for so many situations, it's so epic! I've roleplayed as a Chaplain in EC, I've rallied troops in some other games, but these verses are more perfect than anything I've ever even dreamt about!
Fun fan-canon idea. The entire Horus Heresy, instead of actual battle, was conducted with musical metal-opera battles. Emperor gets struck down and lies there, unable to resist Horus's chaotically infused shredding. And a lone guardsman runs up, picks up the Emperor's guitar and fucking *shreds*. Cue 2:24 and onward.
Download each and every video, as shall I. Let gw come when they strike we shall reupload and then ten for each strike from there. For every one that falls another 10 shall take their place and for every 10 that fall a thousand shall retaliate.
There has been more slack given recently it seems. But alfa has returned with copy and paste characters that works so good even in a totally different setting.
The last words of Ollanius Pius defined what the Imperial Guard would become. "I'll not move and hold the line." his words like prophecy "Eternity I'll embrace" .. "For tens and hundreds will take my place." The will of mankind engraved in it's soldiers for 10 millennia they held the line.
"Do not remember heroes. Do not speak their names. Remember my words, but do not speak my name. I have a vision of a Galaxy overrun by mankind from Core to rim. Of four hundred billion stars each enslaved to the rhythms of Earth’s day, Earth’s year. I have a vision of a trillion planets pulsing to the beat of a human heart. And I have a vision of a child. Who will grow up knowing neither family nor comfort. Who will not be distracted by the illusion of a long life. Who will know nothing but honor and duty. Who will die joyously for the sake of mankind. That is a hero. And I will never know her name. Always remember: a brief life burns brightly." Hama Druz from Xeelee Sequence
@@whiteeye9584 Humorously, Stephen Baxter the author of Xeelee Sequence one time was asked to write a Warhammer 40k novel but he refuses because he doesn't want to write a totalitarian story where the tyrannical government force their people to fight war, but rather the populace supported the tyrannical government war efforts in a twisted way.

But if it were real life and not a play, that is the part it would be best to have acted.”

Honestly, the Legend of Ollianius Pius always amazed me, for the simple fact that eons of waiting and planning, could all be thwarted by one man
Imagine yourself as the Chaos Gods, grooming Horus to be your ultimate champion, setting in motion plans as old or even older than the Primarchs and finally having ultimate victory within your grasp: the Death of your Anathema.
And then *he* steps in:
A lowly mortal.
*GIGACHAD THEME INTENSIFIES*
Him being a perpetual is extremely new, and has been extremely controversial (only about 1/6th of the community is ok with it, the rest hate it)
Point is this: Him being a perpetual is dumb, it doesn't work..
Personally I like Ollanius being normal for the bad ass factor or a perpetual who was the last catholic. Adds to the irony that WH tends to do.

“Your lives are ours….give into your lust for power, for blood… *give in.”*
The Guardsman was tempted.

He bursts into the room, bodies of every kind strewn across this once beautiful room, corrupted by its leader… he sees the rooms owner, Horus…. in a flash, he notices the corpse of the angel, the battle master standing over his Emperor,
He
Can
Only
Push
Forward.
Without a thought, not a single fraction of hesitation, his feet moving and his voice vibrating without him telling them to…
He screams louder then he thought possible, all this anger, all this hate for what he’s seen, that knot in his stomach and that weight on his chest, it’s just all undone.
He
Pushes
Forward
“TRAITOR!”
He says
His breath like fire, his eyes burning like Sol itself, his heart has turned into solid ceramite.
“Face me coward!”
The Emperor, in his weakened state, notices the Soldier for the first time…
Horus, who knew he was there since the moment he heard him fiddling with his toy in the hallway, scoffed
“You wish to die for your emperor?”
Pius, his faith, the last of its kind, fully invigorating him, he looked upon the war master, whom stood 10 feet over him, his armor and weapons so large he could be killed in an instant, the aura of taint and sin surrounding him, yet he still looked him dead into the eyes as he spat, lasgun firmly in hand!
“Where I fall, ten more shall take my place! And one hundred each of them! So strike me down! I am the harbinger!”
At that moment, the War-master twisted, his small amusement turned annoyance, and like a bug that is too close to one’s food, Horus struck at the soldier, as if to swat him away…
Pius, the normal, average, loyal soldier, crumbled where he stood, a single line showed where Horus had struck him…
Horus turned back to his father, happy with himself because of his own power, gloating in his own mind, looked down and saw something that very quickly soured his mood…
The emperor, staring, not at the Angel, not at Horus, not even noticing the other marines or soldiers or the Custodes trying to reach him, nor the ones on the ground slain
No
He looked in amazement of this single human, this one man who stood up to great evil, who looked into oblivion, and didn’t blink
He rose, to both the Emperor and Horus’ shock, his gaze finally rested back to Horus…
The light, the sadness and compassion, the hesitation, in that moment, died inside the Emperor
His pity for this creature before him was ceased, his eyes burned like stars going super nova, his whole body shook like his very being couldn’t contain the energy he was producing, steam and smoke from the pure concentration filled the area, he rose to fight, and instead of trying to wound, he was going to kill.
Horus, previously proud and confident in his victory, quickly realized… he had lost, he had made a mistake, and there was no going back… he was dead before he could even utter a single word…
That, was the story of the man Ollanius Pius, the one they call… The Harbringer!

The Guardsmen are actually the true heroes of this setting. It was that realization that made the Emperor obliterate Horus. The realization that it wasnt his genetically enhanced supersoldiers, his warp infused demigod sons or even himself the greatest warriors of Mankind. Its the Stringstorm effect my friend
That's the thing with StringStorm's works. The first time, they're good but not overly impressive. But they are catchy and you listen to them again. And you start hearing more and more that was put in and you can feel the raw emotions that were put into the music. Ollanius Pius is why I believe the imperial guard is the specific faction to win the war in the grim darkness of the far future
"And like the first among them did in our darkest hour, they hold the line
They have held the line for ten thousand years"
"RAISE YOUR MAUL, FALLEN ONE, AND FIGHT!"
To be honest I kinda interpret this in 2 things.

And of course, Rylanor's Last Stand is a masterpiece in a league of its own and i can't pretend to know what's going on there.

Always remember: a brief life burns brightly."

@@whiteeye9584 Welcome to Xeelee Sequence most humanity in this setting are more retarded and nihilistic than all of 40k.
@@longwlenguyen4214 differences between the warhammer 40000 and Xeelee is that first respect heroism and second does not
@@whiteeye9584 Humorously, Stephen Baxter the author of Xeelee Sequence one time was asked to write a Warhammer 40k novel but he refuses because he doesn't want to write a totalitarian story where the tyrannical government force their people to fight war, but rather the populace supported the tyrannical government war efforts in a twisted way.
@@longwlenguyen4214 people of 40k fight not because they are forced but because they want to
my headcanon for the confusion of the various version of Ollanius, is that he WAS just a guy, but a perpetual and several custodes started calling themselves that so his name could live forever thus creating the confusion
What do you think of the real events that took place in end and the death part 3?
@@acedeci4560 Something like this is always better as a mysterious legend than some author's narrative.
GW tries to extinguish the last parts of the fandom
The Fandom: *H O L D !*
This song is the story of TTS fans happily sacrificing themselves defending Alfabusa from GW.
Admittedly I'm immensely biased towards the Harbinger, but I say this is by far your best song.
And this is probably the most fitting time for this song to come out.

¡DETENTE!
Mi señor no probará tu ira
Me: "Huh, well, looks like I haven't checked this one out yet. Guess I may as well."

"HOLD! MY LORDS SHAL NOT TASTE YOUR WRATH! FOR I SHALL END YOUR WARPATH!"
He wasn’t a demigod, not a seemingly all powerful emperor, not even a member of the commissariat. He was a man, a farmer, an imperial guardsman. And like a true guardsman, he HELD THE LINE. Truly an imperial saint if I ever saw one
The guardsmen does not live for glory... The guardsmen dies for duty... the guardsmen does not retreat with cowardice... the guardsmen charges with fury and courage.... the guardsmen does not lay down and submit.... The guardsmen dies standing.... Though we have cheap equipment and armour.... Poor leadership and plans... Flaws in our minds and bodies... Afear in all our hearts...Even us Kreigers.... We fight on wards... holding that one inch... for one more seconds... for one more life to slip away unscathed..... That on inch we gain... Closer to victory... closer to peace... closer to a nightmare to end... A prayer for hope and light... answered in the time of need... We the gaurdsmen of the imperium stand... qlone and together... with fist and lasguns... from chimeara to imperial titan... Stood firm against the imperium's foes... As we have 10 millennium.... And for 10 millennium more we shall continue to stand firm... for we fight for our Emperor... Our Machine god... Our Imperium.... Our home... Our land's... Our family's... Our lives.... And for them we shall never falter... We shall never break... For we are the Imperial Guard...The wall of guns... The empeors hammer... And for those that face us... Your doom.
A quote from ‘blood and cred’ “money and glory those are the perks!” Though you are correct tho, guardsmen will die for a single nanometer
2:01 Actual chills as soon as I heard this part. So goddamn thrilling, what a stunning song!
Ollanius was the biggest badass in 40k. I'm so glad his story didn't go untold by Stringstorm.
For all the the augmentations of the Space Marines and Custodes, they could not engineer balls big enough to compete with this man.
I can't imagine how proud the emperor must have felt seeing this, and sad that a normal one was a far greater being that his own fav son.
One day I’d love to see an animation set to this
Hmm... Well god gave me Hands for a Reason
