What a great man...to be superbly strong but to venerate his mother in such a way. Somehow....this makes me love and respect him even more. I could always sense very clearly the deep sadness in his persona. He is a truly gifted poet.

Sahir Ludhianvi’s Poetry & Philosophy in Literature & Bollywood history-- “Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth. (said Einstein of Mahatma Gandhi)” Sahir’s poetry & wisdom would shine on this earth long after we have perished. SAHIR= Wisdom of Aristotle+Brilliance of Einstein. Sahir Ludhianvi was FIRST A PHILOSOPHER who wrote poetry to convey his GOD GIVEN WISDOM & life experiences of his own to common man for his/her welfare in his poetry. Every word was carefully crafted & inserted in the right context to convey true message from that great thinker for A given situation (issue facing common man under similar circumstances).Not even one other published poet in any language has addressed so many diverse issues facing the mortals in his/her work as Sahir has done in impeccable manner & forceful combination of words.
Long after we (mortals) have perished, immortal poetry by SAHIR would shine on this earth with light radiated by NEXT SUN after the demise of the present Sun.

What is expressed here about Sahir ji, somewhere makes me feel thst Javed jinis trying to tarnish the respectable image of Sahir ji. He must understand, that each child in those formative years get impacted so much that sahir shall always remember the pain his mother had to undergo in the hands of the ruthless father. It's understandable and that shall never be a matter of discussion on a platform like Rekhta.
Now when someone who have been affected personally or have witnessed the partition of India and Pakistan and the amount of pain it brought to the poor and the common man, can become so emotional and bring their feelings literally with tears flowing incessantly from their eyes and when they talk in choked voices, are understood for the pain that was endured by these, we need to respect the feelings and actions of Sahir ji, who in the formative years had nothing but the guidance and love of his mother, who fed him out of money earned by doing menial jobs, he must have thought that she survived only for his love and affection. I do feel sad for Sahir ji that this aspect of his love for his mother was also a reason he couldn't accept his mind and body's need for a companionship of a woman and that speaks he was a victim. Ease never speak low of that quality .....public which applauded Javed ji must think deep enough to understand the pain of Sahir and what.he missed out because of this love for his mother which was beyond his capabilities to set aside. Sahir ji, wherever you are, you shall be always remembered for your good qualities.
So true. The deep wounds of childhood turn into sores that never can heal. The intense pathos of his poetry and clear cynicism contained in many verses reflect his sad upbringing. Such matters are not to be trifled with or discussed in a casual manner. Poor taste!
@@Reincarnation111 my sons ( 2 ) have had the same childhood with a drunk father who used to beat me & 5 yr. old used get traumatised.. then left them age 7 & 11 ….they never talk about it to their friends.. too painful

It is unfair to think Javed Sahab was tarnishing the image of the late Sahir Sahab, the question was 'how was Sahir Sahab as an individual? To understand the extreme sides of individual behaviour, we need to understand the past. This was clearly mentioned by Javed Ji. No one is flawless, yes, he did not survive long after his mother's death. The same happened with late Irfan Khan Ji, who was attached to his mother. These are emotions and we need to respect that.
