I finally tried sharpening my carbide chain today via your method.....it worked great! I purchased a solid carbide chain off ebay a few weeks ago and I attempted to cut through several large roots in the ground. I mean I drove that bar deep into the dirt! That dulled my chain. Up to that point, I was wondering is it was possible to dull a carbide chain. Just a few minutes with a 4mm diamond stone powered by my Dremel battery powered rotary tool and my carbide chain cuts almost like new again. I may just throw all my steel chains in the trash. They're junk next to a good carbide chain.

WOW! I have spent several days online trying to find a video on sharpening carbide chains! Thanks so much. This is well kept secret. I wonder why?

@@gavmansworkshop5624 Yes, I agree. The money is in the standard steel chains. If the truth about carbide ever got out, it could seriously hurt a lot of companies and service entities.

Never trust a guy in flip flops with anything to do with a chainsaw.

Swap your negative and positive on the power supply and that sharpener should run in reverse...
