When I started collecting star wars figures the first figure I bought was Darth Maul in the 30th anniversary collection
I noticed the base for the hologram Maul was used as a prop in one of the new series. I think it was Kenobi. It was a handheld device. A transponder or tracker or communicator or something.
I didn't see 2 of my favorite Maul figures which are the POTJ Final Duel variant (cleaved in twain), and the Darth Maul Returns 3 Pack (first set of robot legs). Excellent figures all. Once you start collecting this Sith, its hard to stop!😊
Maul was a character who always in fairness like Vader was repacked with whatever version they had on hand at the time and that's how I got some older Mauls that came out in the Phantom Menace and other toylines.
Nowadays people are begging for a main character a main villain to be updated to his most definitive form so if he's ever repacked you'd be satisfied compared to the past with what I just mentioned. No disrespect to these figures they served their time but you just wish there was more consistency of pumping them out like they did then but they are at ultimate quality of nowadays.
I still wish I could have that Clone Wars Maul honestly. Maybe it's because I grew up with Clone Wars and the Clone Wars animated line I'm always thinking of characters that should have been released in that line and for a long time because Season 5 was still on the brain I had always wanted to see that Maul and Bo-Katan be made so I was glad when they were (Albeit Bo-Katan is the Mandalorian version but still same thing pretty much) but by that point I had no space and I was in no position to collect anymore sadly but someday I hope I can again.
I do have an animated Maul from Clone Wars where he was first revived. Came in a pack with Savage and what was called a Nightsister but because of the look most people are using it as a stand in for Mother Talzin until a proper figure is made.
I know I'm not in a position to collect but I still participated in March Madness and Last Figure Standing for the fun of it and again if I am able to collect in the future I would of course want these characters to be made and if they were I'd buy them but my lists at this point tend to just be Clone Wars and Andor characters the former again being the missed opportunities and the latter because it is my favourite and another one of missed opportunities. Come on more Andor for Season 2.
Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next video.
Most accurate face sculpt for any darth maul action figure is definitely the clone wars 3.75 one. It looks just like him from the movie. The best overall is the hot toy doll and some statues

You didn't mention the Deluxe Lightsaber Battle Action Maul from '99. He swings his saber and is super fun to duel with the Delux Obi-Wan.
Maul!! The best looking star wars villain of all time!! As others have said, the newest tvc clone wars has the best looking maul headsculpt ever, but the articulation on the legs absolutely sucks. My son wanted to fit him in a tie fighter but no chance. I want a new rebels shirtless maul using the clone wars head with the newer barbell hips. And hasbro, while your at it, im dying for a tales of the jedi plague mask inquisitor...

Thanks for doing these. They are very helpful when I am choosing which version of a character to buy, and they are entertaining anyway, even if I’m not planning to buy any figures of a character featured.
I’ll always watch these through because I’ll never recognize all the figures in the line, and I want to hear your thoughts on all of them regardless.
Clone wars one is nuts, got that one and the no1 one, however the CW one im not a fan of him being resurrected either, not a fan of the legs and they're not that articulated and i dont think hes the most posable figure
