Great memories of playing in my mates back garden as a kid in the 80s,he has sadly passed away, but every time I see these figures it's his face I see😢🙏
I recall saying that this video had to be reposted, due to some edits. So I watched it again for fun. I can tell that a lot of research and time went into putting this video together, so thank you from the community. It's nice to get a feel of the current market for both the carded and loose versions of these figures. Looking forward to the ESB video from the series. Thanks for putting in the work for us buddy.
Thanks Josh! I am really glad you enjoyed it 🙌🏼. I honestly love doing this because I like to sit in my office and research the prices as I clean my collection. It’s very therapeutic and something that I don’t do for the love of money but for the love of the hobby. As if I was a kid with my baseball cards and looking at the Beckett books. It’s like a ritual that is a leisure task I enjoy
So how many of us watched this video cause we had the original 1978 figures? I WISH I Had know in 1978 these would have been worth this much. I had many of them except for the cantina figures.
I remember getting the first four action figures. For Xmas I got the cardboard stand with pictures of all the figures that were going to be released. Then in February 78 the first 4 came in the mail. A white box no individual packages or labels. A slide out plastic tray had like, leia, Chewbacca and r2d2
My first two Star Wars action figures were C3PO and R2D2 that I got for my birthday in 1978. I still have them and they sit proudly on my computer desk today. My C3PO has become quite floppy but he will still stand up on a display stand. His paint is worn off in places from decades of play but he still looks pretty good. Ironically, my grandma and I returned three different C3POs to Kmart because they were so heavily painted that you couldn't move their arms and legs. Even my grandpa couldn't budge them. The fourth time was the charm though the limbs were quite stiff. Didn't take me long to take care of that though. My first R2D2 still has all of his paint though the front of his sticker is missing a little chunk along the top edge. His head still clicks too despite me taking him apart a few times as a kid to see what was inside. Interesting bit of trivia - The R2D2's and R5D4's are the only Kenner Star Wars action figures held together with a visible Phillips head screw. Some others are held together with a rivet - like C3PO and Death Star Droid. It's amazing that he and 3PO are in as good of shape as they are given that I took them everywhere with me as a little kid. Especially R2 as he was perfectly pocket-sized. I consider these two droid action figures to be priceless and will never sell them. Obi Wan Kenobi was the first action figure that I noticed to have variants as a kid. I got two of them in 78: one from my grandma and one from one of my great uncles for Christmas. One had the white hair while the other had the dark gray hair. I thought that was pretty interesting even as a five year old. The dark gray haired Ben spent most of his time in my Sandspeeder while the white haired one went farther afield and was handled much more, so some of his hair's paint is worn off. I lost all of the original lightsabers from my figures rather quickly as a kid due to playing with them outside and all over the house, so I have no idea if any of them were double telescoping. It's possible because one of my uncles worked for Sears back then, so he would have had access to the first figures and ships they got in. My lightsaber wielding figures had to make do with translucent plastic cocktail sticks shaped like swords. I'd break the blades off and stick them in the arms of my figures. My grandpa was (among many other jobs) a bartender at the local VFW when I was little, so we always had lots of those cocktail sticks around. I didn't know, or had forgotten, that the Takara Stormtroopers didn't have foot peg holes. Good bit of detail there! I like the big head variant better. Looks a bit more like Harrison Ford than the small head one. I love both though because they were among the few that came with a bent elbow, so you could pose him holding his blaster more like he usually did in the movie rather than having his arm straight out. The one I got as a kid was the big head variant. I remember seeing the small head ones later on at friends' houses and thought it was odd that they changed them. What's weird about the Jawa figure is that I could have easily been in possession of several of the vinyl cape version since my uncle had them at his Sears store. I didn't like them as a little kid though and preferred the cloth cloak ones when they came out. I remember wondering as a little kid why every figure didn't have a cloth cape or cloak instead of a vinyl one since the Jawa cloth cloak looked so awesome. My mom made cloth capes for my Darth Vader and cloaks for my Obi Wan, Sand Person and Princess Leia figures after the vinyl ones tore. I don't know where they are now, but I remember them. Now, I kinda kick myself because the 'ugly' vinyl cape Jawas are worth a bundle - if you can prove the cape is original that is. Lots of fake ones out now. My first Commander was labelled the Death Squad Commander and I always called them that even after the later ones came out. Mine isn't pristine officially though because at some point in my childhood, I got tired of his helmet missing paint and used some Testor's modeling paint to touch it up. I did a great job on it, but I would still never sell it as 'mint' - if I ever sold it at all. He's under rated I think. A really cool looking figure that added some early variety to the bad guys' line up. Greedo was one of my favorite figures of sideline characters as a kid because he could hold blasters so well. It baffled me that Kenner didn't make at least one hand of every figure with hands to have such a good grip. He also stood out for being so very green. :) I didn't get any of the playsets as a kid because I got the carrying case that had two gray tray inside. I could take the trays out and use them as bases to make my own playsets from by drawing my own backgrounds on pieces of poster board. I also made playsets out of milk crates, packing material and bits from other toys. I am finally on the verge of getting my first official playset: Hoth Turret and Probot when it comes in the mail later this month. It's exciting! Making my own playsets was fun, but it'll be cool to have an official one. Greedo and Hammerhead were the only 'alien' figures that I got as a kid. I have several more of them once I started collecting later on. I got the Red Snaggletooth and I frankly like it much better than the blue one as it looks much more like the character in the movie. On the other hand, I had all of the droid figures from these first two waves. I loved robots as a kid. One of the main reasons why I was instantly such a Star Wars fan as a kid. My Death Star Droid also got some paint touch ups back in the day. The Power Droid or Gonk Droid is one of my favorites. I loved it as a kid because of the way the legs tilted the body and clicked. This video is very helpful and well done.
Thanks for this write up John! It’s cool to read your experience with these and your history on how you got these and the action figures you still have in your collection!
just went through my old box I've had since a kid in the 70's. I have a Darth Vader double telescope and a Jawa. Also an unopened board game from 77, in the original plastic wrapper from Woodwards lol. We got two of them one year and I put one away, crazy.
☝️ just a note for the early bird figures, Chewbacca always had the green bowcaster, R2-D2 always had the dark blue dome 👌😉 Luke had a regular light saber after awhile, not sure about Leia having brown or black hair first. Nice video bro 😎🤙 keep collecting
Man. This brought back a lot of memories. A lot of people my age had the majority of these. I remember how excited I was when I got Boba in the mail finally. The challenge always was not losing the blasters. Had them all stored in the Darth Vader case. Some great memories with these around Christmas for sure.
Wow dude. I watched part of the video(paused it!) and am finishing it up now. And? Ya know what? I Learned about, and seen!-quite a few things I did NOT know!!! So! For that?! I ty..and Have subbed!😁👏👏👏👏 That Vader card? Is that a purple saber on the card??(Or .CLD it be the lighting?) I found that fascinating!😊 8:43
Some of them like Leia are a little harder to take care of and have unique blasters like she does, which are hard to find. That’s Niall how some of these go up individually.
I am 47 now and I had most of these listed. My mom put them in a storage unit with a bunch of other stuff and then stopped paying on it. Someone found a motherload when they bought that unit at auction
Who else gets the warm and fuzzies just looking at these pictures. How many hours did I stare at the Sears catalog before Christmas fantasizing about these toys!!! And Small head Han all the way!
Early bird Chewey came with the translucent green bow caster. It went to the blue/black when they carded him, though similar to the DT lightsabers, some of the green bow casters made it onto the card.
Dear Padawan Collector, LOVE YOUR CONTENT!! KEEP IT COMING! Since you live in San Diego, CA, if you haven't yet been to the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, CA to see the Star Wars display, it's *highly* recommended for die-hard Star Wars fans! Included in the museum display are Darth Vader's actual ESB (Episode 5) screen used helmet, Luke's actual Tattooine Landspeeder, Leia's Yavin 4 Ceremonial Gown she wore during the Throne Room medal ceremony, as well as one of the two actual medals that she gave Luke & Han (I think it's the one she gave Luke, per film screen comparison). In addition, they have on display Leia's actual screen-used royal blaster that she shot the stormtrooper with onboard the Tantive IV (Note: They also have a replica Leia gun on display....Be sure to look for the real one later on in the exhibit). Finally, one of only 6 Stormtrooper helmets from Episode 4 still known to exist is on display as well, and it's screen matched so they know exactly which Stormtrooper it is. Super cool! Plus, there's TONS of other stuff as well! So, yes, Highly Recommended! And if you happen to come this way, I'd love to meet up with you (if possible) to provide you some early-year Kenner Star Wars toys product that would make your trip all the more worth it (If you're interested). The exhibit closes on October 13th, so you have about 5-6 more weeks to check it out. Don't miss it!: www.reaganfoundation.org/library-museum/special-exhibits/star-wars/?srsltid=AfmBOor9UUvM6a_7xPUZ-KTkpIKq--rQnn0IbYaFykvt7D4rRgrQUhhH
Wow this is awesome Timothy! I would love to take a tour of this. It would be rad to meet up and go through this. I really like the history aspect of the toys and would really appreciate this exhibit.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial At the beginning entrance to the exhibit is a pretty solid still-in-box toy collection, though much of it is Palitoy. Still fun to see. Let me know if & when you plan to come up to Simi Valley, CA, and I'll round up my old Kenner stuff and bring to you if interested. Let's connect "offline" before then, for sure! Regardless, you gotta go check-out the Reagan Library exhibit if you can, before it leaves in October!
I’ll have to research those. But if you want to do it yourself, you can search eBay, but only the sold listings and that an average of the ones sold in 2023/2024 and take an average. Then go to Facebook pick three thrusted sites who sell things like this and also take an average of those prices from 23/24.
I gotta tell ya, between 1980 and 1982, i always had like 3 or four chewbaccas just laying around. It was like kids would just discard him at the playground or on the sidewalk and take the others. I feel like nobody wanted him. I really remember that.
I remember in the early 80's...83ish maybe? Sears had an after Christmas sale on toys. I remember seeing stacks of the vehicles and ships in their huge boxes. 75% off!!
A kid I knew in school stole all my good stuff from my bedroom when my brother let him in. I never knew what happened to them until one day all the dorky kids went to this guy’s bday party at his house. We all toured the house and I saw all my stuff on display. I acted like I didn’t know and later when everyone was playing games I snuck into his bedroom and took back all my stuff and snuck out the window. His mom called my mom and said I stole her son’s Star Wars toys and my mom said no he’s only got his toys we bought him. That kid was so mad. Hahaha! Later my dog chewed them up but I didn’t care because I had a BB gun.
I still have most of these as well as many more. For the original 12, I have the card backs but of course they were opened. Not to mention teen cars with the cut out ups from ordering several of the Boba Fett NON FIRING figures
Thanks for doing this. I haven't been looking at SW figures for a while and I just so happen to find a very good Stormtrooper for 45 and a decent small head Han for 30. This list was a sign that I should get another Stormtrooper. :) Thanks for the video
Love the video, my friend! It's not so much about the prices but the history and the nostalgia. But for some collectors is a big investment and I can respect that. Let's go for TESB !!!! Also, I'm looking forward to one of your future episodes about the Mini-Rigs
I have a varient on Hammerhead. Besides the normal one where he's looking to the side,I have one where the eyes are painted where he's looking straight ahead.
Thank you very much sir Joey your vlog is highly appreciated and very informative. It is also helpful to avoid over priced action figures when purchasing online. God bless and May the Force be with you
I thought only the first twelve came out in '78 and then Greedo and the others were released in '79. I remember the waves being the first nine at the beginning of the year, then the next three-Jawa, Sandpeople, and DSC-in mid/late '78. Then the next 8 guys in '79 and then Boba Fett.
I really doubt Boba Fett was the only new figure released in '79. Greedo and his wave weren't in the '78 toyfair catalog but were labeled as 'new' in the '79 one.
Hi mate EBay really is not the best tool to understand the value of Star Wars vintage figures it’s only a very rough guide on how much different each ‘eBay’ user will pay. A very silly eBay user spent £12000 on a FX-7 medical droid about 10 years ago it absolutely does not mean it’s worth that. You also have fluctuating pricing due to collectors or buyers missing rare items and not bidding therefore not increasing the value on that particular item so using EBay is a very basic measurement. Have you considered communicating with official toy and collectable auctions that are vetted and regulated correctly? As eBay is and always will be the Wild West in selling Star Wars figures and isn’t a true foundation of value as true collectors wont use eBay. eBay is only used by people to see if they can get a figure at a devalued amount or a cheap figure to boost onto an unexpected new or miss educated toy collector. There are some really important world auction institutions you are missing that will give you a true value of these beautiful items. EBay certainly is an absolute lottery on not only getting a true price but landing a true 100% original figure that hasn’t been distorted in some way by fake or renovated figures. I think there are only a handful of sellers I would trust on EBay when it comes to buying figures, and that’s been through a very much uncertain and painful trail and error process. Toy auctions always make sure each item is 100% original before auction eBay does not which opens the door to people being scammed. I think some more research on your part is required and you might be able to get closer to actual current values with a few emails and conversations with toy collector professionals who are linked to real world buyers and enthusiasts which will help people much more than just relying on eBay which is 100% not regulated.
Someone please explain. Where do these carded figures come from? No kid would have thought to keep the figure in its packaging. I don’t think adults in the late 70s or early 80s we’re buying up action figures with the foresight that some nerd in 40 years would be paying thousands of dollars those that stuff. Collecting just wasn’t a thing. You could pick up 70s muscle cars for a song in the 80s. People would use them in demolition derby. Did Kenner have warehouses full of unsold toys or something?WTF
Thats actually a great question. A lot of them were bought up by collectors back then who understood early that these may be collectibles back then, some where regular people who didn't collect but had a hunch. I've heard countess stories of collectors buying a pristine carded collection from little old ladies who stored hundreds of these in their attic and had no kids. The most common was toy store owners taking stock home weather they bought or otherwise. There were also storage warehouses that have been discovered to have product that was never distributed. So many other one-off ways as well.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial Before we launched him to ‘infinity’ we were actually able to make his backpack rocket fire…the rocket was just lightly glued in, we freed it, and used the spring of a click pen . The spring was just small enough to fit in the hole and the firing mechanism was still working. So we would just push the missile down and it would click into place. Then just press the button to fire. The only problem was that the spring went flying randomly around and then we had to track that down, along with the missile. It was still fun. Simpler times. Hey, thanks for the reply, too.
My Father worked at Kenner. He gave me a 1979 Kenner Boba Fett action figure, saying they didn't make too many before they were recalled. I never opened it. Last month I came across it in a box. Was going to sell it, but I just decided to throw it away.
Let me research that. It will have some clues in the County of origin stamp, but obviously the mailer bag would have gave it away :). The blaster will give it away too. I’ll find out and answer on a future Q and A video.
Do you think it's weird for someone to be interested in putting together a complete set of just the loose common pieces? I am not a collector, I don't understand why a "fan" would care so much about a card or box/packaging to pay ten thousand dollars or more for one figure. I am thinking about starting a collection of the loose common ones but just as a fan, I don't care if they ever go up in value or lose value over time, if I do buy them I don't plan to sell them. I'm just wondering if many people are like me in these regards or am I weird? I just think it'd be cool to have a complete set of loose figures that are in good or excellent condition to display. I was only 3 years old in 1977 so I only had maybe 6 of these when I was around 6 or 7 years old, and I played with them, I even cut off Darth Vaders head because I really "played" with them, as I was 6 or so... who knows maybe that Darth could have been worth ten grand had I kept it in the box and not decapitated him haha, but I didn't have enough money in my household when I was 7 years old to buy more than maybe 6 of these, so a part of me thinks it'd be cool to buy the full set (maybe $5,000 to $8,000) of loose common figures now that I can afford that. I don't really collect stuff as a person, I just like Star Wars, the only Star Wars items I own is the lifesize Yoda statue from SideShow and a Lightsaber I got when I went to Disney. Am I weird?
No it’s not weird to just collect a loose collection of the action figures. I think that there are no rules or standards that you have to follow when deciding to collect anything. Do what brings you joy
I would also love to have a complete set of the loose figures. I did not have very many when I was a kid because I had to buy them with my own money, which was not a lot to see the least. lol
Do you or anyone know if there's any significance between the variants of storm troopers with a hard plastic head and torso and the ones with the soft plastic head and torso? I recently sold a couple loose, but have always wondered if it mattered?
Not sure I'd want to 'part' with my childhood collection; ONLY missing 5 (from '77 - '85); my "retirement fund" is my '83 Gammorrean Guard Halloween costume with "Revenge of the Jedi" on the 'belly'
I had the double telescoping Luke, Ben and Vader back in the day, but that second part of the saber drove me nuts so I bit them all off. Kids are just too dumb sometimes....
I can’t believeI sold my chewing gum cards, Star war toy figures, complete set of original first print comics … for peanuts. My dad’s smart idea to ‘make money’ so I wouldn’t need to ask him for any, for about two weeks. Made me sell my original Hornsby model train set for buttons. Thanks Dad.
Best way to find out is to look on the Facebook groups, eBay, and actions sites for figures that sold this year. Make sure to look at conditions and the price associated, then use that data to make an average. Thats how I did it
I have the death squad commander, but someone glued his head back on, otherwise nr mint. Did not know that. Buyer beware. I just found some destroyed SW figs, but got them because when do you ever find them at a thriftstore.
i'm having Vietnam flashbacks to that fateful day around 1988-89 when i was 13 or 14 and my Mum turned to me and asked if i still wanted my Star Wars figures and other stuff i had, and without taking a minute to think about it i just said no, it all went to a church jumble sale, for nothing, i'm sure i had the telescopic lightsabre versions and even a vinyl cape Jawa, My bank account could have been so healthy lol.
What am I seeing on eBay when the lose items are going for around $20? They look the same as in this video. What’s the difference. Darth Vader for example.
Yea the prices I’m listing are for ones that are almost in pristine state and ones that would score at least a high 80 to 85 rating. Condition plays a major factor and you have to figure in shipping costs when looking on eBay or other online markets
This is a bit depressing. I had every Star Wars figure from 12a onwards when I was a kid. I sold them all in 1985 in a garage sale for $20. Go figure, excuse the pun.
If it’s still sealed and the box is in pristine shape, that could be the price you are asking. If it’s totally complete, played with, and the box is worn and it has no inserts… you can maybe get 300 for it???

Loving the research information on this video joey. It completely slips your mind, How some of them individually will just go up in price.
Wow! I hope you can reconnect with some of your favorite figures soon
Who else gets the warm and fuzzies just looking at these pictures. How many hours did I stare at the Sears catalog before Christmas fantasizing about these toys!!! And Small head Han all the way!
I would also comb through those catalogs! Great memories. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to watch this video!
Thanks for posting this! Wanted to get a good list of the prices of the figures in my collection-this helps a lot.
Hey ND! I’m really glad this helped you out! That really means a lot to me! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙌🏼
Early bird Chewey came with the translucent green bow caster. It went to the blue/black when they carded him, though similar to the DT lightsabers, some of the green bow casters made it onto the card.
Thanks for the info Mike 🙌🏼
My dad kept all my Star Wars, Battle Star Gallactica, Buck Rogers, 6 million dollar man & GI Joes. Thanks Pops. 😊
Your pops is rad!
Cool video 👍
Thank God I didn't pay those prices when I completed my collection back in the day 😉
Thanks Retro! I wish I collected these in the 90s or even earlier!!
What about those 12 inch collection series with gold sealed? They are like 30 bucks. How much are they? They were made in the 90s
I’ll have to research those. But if you want to do it yourself, you can search eBay, but only the sold listings and that an average of the ones sold in 2023/2024 and take an average. Then go to Facebook pick three thrusted sites who sell things like this and also take an average of those prices from 23/24.
I love watching these videos. My holy grail would be the white bib Fortuna on walrus man card
I don’t think I have ever seen that!!!
@@thepadawancollectorofficial google it. The last one sold for around 30k
LOVE the Two Guys price sticker on the Han Solo card - at $1.97 each, get 2!
I love seeeing those old price stickers!
eBay prices are mostly down; good time to find decent deals
I agree!
I gotta tell ya, between 1980 and 1982, i always had like 3 or four chewbaccas just laying around. It was like kids would just discard him at the playground or on the sidewalk and take the others. I feel like nobody wanted him. I really remember that.
I had two Chewies also. That and General Madine
I remember in the early 80's...83ish maybe? Sears had an after Christmas sale on toys. I remember seeing stacks of the vehicles and ships in their huge boxes. 75% off!!
I wish I had bought all of them and explained to my parents that this was part their retirement fund lol
You should do this type of video but with the last 17
That is coming up soon. I’ve already edited them I just have to upload :)
If you paint the Death Star Comander's helmet white... 0:40
...he'll look like Gary Spivey! 😂
😂
Nice video, excellent 😎
Thanks Marco! 🙌🏼
I still have all my action figures after all these years.
That’s pretty cool that you have your original figures 🙌🏼
Comment of the week!!!! I love how you planned and pulled that off!!!!
I still have most of these as well as many more. For the original 12, I have the card backs but of course they were opened. Not to mention teen cars with the cut out ups from ordering several of the Boba Fett NON FIRING figures
Nice!
Thanks for doing this.
I haven't been looking at SW figures for a while and I just so happen to find a very good Stormtrooper for 45 and a decent small head Han for 30.
This list was a sign that I should get another Stormtrooper. :)
Thanks for the video
Thats for watching T! Army build those troopers :)
I still have many of these. my kids did pull a few heads off ...
Haha I may have pulled a few off too
Nice job!
Thanks Flintlock! Thanks for checking out the vid
I had all of these. 😂 I also had Darth Vader’s ship, but left it a friend’s house. Then he moved. Still have the Sand Crawler and the remote.
What if finds you online and sends it to you. Rad
Mom threw mine out along with all my original Star Wars and Marvel comics from the 70's.
Oh no!
Sounds like mom needs a hit
Love the video, my friend!
It's not so much about the prices but the history and the nostalgia.
But for some collectors is a big investment and I can respect that. Let's go for TESB !!!!
Also, I'm looking forward to one of your future episodes about the Mini-Rigs
Thank you my friend!!! ESB episode is already up! I hope you enjoy it!!!
@@thepadawancollectorofficial I'm always enjoying your videos!! keep them coming
I have a varient on Hammerhead. Besides the normal one where he's looking to the side,I have one where the eyes are painted where he's looking straight ahead.
Which one is your favorite?
@@thepadawancollectorofficial I like both. It's nice to know I have something like that.
Thank you very much sir Joey your vlog is highly appreciated and very informative. It is also helpful to avoid over priced action figures when purchasing online. God bless and May the Force be with you
May the force be with you Han! I’m glad this helped you and you found it helpful!
happy to say that I have about 50% of those all in F Grade.
Sounds like they are all well played with and loved!!!
how did you get your Star Wars display case?
It’s from a company called Collector Displays in the UK. Drew is the owner. Great guy. Tell him the Padawan sent you.
I have all of the original figures but they are all very used, including the double telescope light sabers.
Wow Bill! That’s awesome you have DT figures!
Sold all of my star wars toys back in 2001 on ebay for 36g😊😊😊😊
Had 40 jaws 😊😊
Wow! That’s an amazing price!!!
Where can you sell these items
I mostly buy my items on eBay or Facebook through the groups
I thought only the first twelve came out in '78 and then Greedo and the others were released in '79. I remember the waves being the first nine at the beginning of the year, then the next three-Jawa, Sandpeople, and DSC-in mid/late '78. Then the next 8 guys in '79 and then Boba Fett.
Most were released in Spring of 1978, then some in late spring early summer of 1978, then some in fall of 1978, then Boba Fett in 1979.
I really doubt Boba Fett was the only new figure released in '79. Greedo and his wave weren't in the '78 toyfair catalog but were labeled as 'new' in the '79 one.
I agree.
Do you have any videos that highlight tips to buying higher end graded figures. Not the 20K kind, but maybe $500-1K price.
I will in the future but the best channel to watch on that is The Action Figure Grader on RUclips. Great info on there
I couldn't stop playing with my star wars figures.
At 14 my best mate and I would still have battles and quickly pack up before his sister got home
Ah man I wish we could go back in time and play one more time
I had all these , still have some of them in the loft, but they’re damaged and well used etc 😂
That means they were well loved!
Have to say I’ve see them all with no exceptions go for much more than these stated prices.
Where are you getting these prices mate?
Hey Chris! I did an entire video on how I got these prices and here is that video: ruclips.net/video/Pn51nc6SGbY/видео.htmlsi=rFtsYbwT9XgsJjSv
I remember saving the UPC code to get my free boba fett …a few years later I got into Estes rockets…BobaFett was never seen again…😢
That’s still cool that you had the experience of getting boba as a mail away. I can’t say that!
@@thepadawancollectorofficial
Before we launched him to ‘infinity’ we were actually able to make his backpack rocket fire…the rocket was just lightly glued in, we freed it, and used the spring of a click pen .
I just did an unboxing video where I pulled a 1979 Bobba Fett action figure... nearly mint, out of a box of toys from a garage sale
Very nice! 👍🏼
My Father worked at Kenner. He gave me a 1979 Kenner Boba Fett action figure, saying they didn't make too many before they were recalled. I never opened it.
Last month I came across it in a box. Was going to sell it, but I just decided to throw it away.
That’s a shame.
❤ the video
Thanks Richard 🙌🏼
As a kid of the 70's i had many of these figures including the Darth Vader case and a lot of the ships also.all long gone now.😢😢😢😢
Same here. I only have a handful of original figures from my childhood. The rest I had to collect as an adult
Love you videos. Is there a way to tell if my boba fett was a mail away ?
I did not have very many when I was a kid because I had to buy them with my own money, which was not a lot to see the least. lol
#190th🎉
Congratulations on being 190 🙃🙃🙃
often wondered why they never made a Tarkin figure!
That would have been a great figure to have in the collection
what about the British license built figures by Palitoy?
I can do a video where I go over those. I had to focus on a region, though.
Do you or anyone know if there's any significance between the variants of storm troopers with a hard plastic head and torso and the ones with the soft plastic head and torso? I recently sold a couple loose, but have always wondered if it mattered?
I’ll be answering this in an episode soon
Not sure I'd want to 'part' with my childhood collection; ONLY missing 5 (from '77 - '85); my "retirement fund" is my '83 Gammorrean Guard Halloween costume with "Revenge of the Jedi" on the 'belly'
Hey Andre! Good luck with finishing your collection! I hope you find the last five easily and for great prices 🙌🏼
I don't care what they are worth ive had mine since 1978 to 1985 ive still got them and I'll never ever sell them
Nice! Your childhood originals are priceless!
Welp…. I would have some money now, years later. Sadly, all my Kenner action figures didn’t survive the 4th of July, ‘87. ☹️💥
Did you place them on fireworks???
I literally have action figure container, I just learned is worth thousands!!
I'm sick. I had all these when I was kid.
I hope you can reconnect with your favorites
These were very good toys, made extremely well compared to how there made nowadays
Best time to be a kid :)
Nice! I got my Obi-Wan complete for $50
Wow! That’s a great find! 🙌🏼
Did the price go down a bit on blue Snag?
Yes the prices on those are going down at the moment.
I had the double telescoping Luke, Ben and Vader back in the day, but that second part of the saber drove me nuts so I bit them all off. Kids are just too dumb sometimes....
😂😂😂😂
I can’t believeI sold my chewing gum cards, Star war toy figures, complete set of original first print comics … for peanuts. My dad’s smart idea to ‘make money’ so I wouldn’t need to ask him for any, for about two weeks. Made me sell my original Hornsby model train set for buttons. Thanks Dad.
I'm so sorry man!
Nice job:) How much is a loose Tri logo Bobo Fett figure worth?
Best way to find out is to look on the Facebook groups, eBay, and actions sites for figures that sold this year. Make sure to look at conditions and the price associated, then use that data to make an average. Thats how I did it
@@thepadawancollectorofficial Nice. Thanks🙂
I have the death squad commander, but someone glued his head back on, otherwise nr mint. Did not know that. Buyer beware. I just found some destroyed SW figs, but got them because when do you ever find them at a thriftstore.
Whenever I see figures at a garage sale or thrift store I get them :)
How much for the single-telescoping lightsabre Obi_wan cardback???
I’ve seen them for about 800-1000
i'm having Vietnam flashbacks to that fateful day around 1988-89 when i was 13 or 14 and my Mum turned to me and asked if i still wanted my Star Wars figures and other stuff i had, and without taking a minute to think about it i just said no, it all went to a church jumble sale, for nothing, i'm sure i had the telescopic lightsabre versions and even a vinyl cape Jawa, My bank account could have been so healthy lol.
Oh my gosh!!!! Only my action figures survived and none of my ships and vehicles.
Where is the best place to find Action Figure values?
Easiest place is Star Wars tracker. Lists all the auction and eBay prices in one data form
Damn, Kenner should have just held onto their toys
Hi all. Can anyone tell me which scale is more canonical: 3.75" or 6"? I would be grateful for an explanation.
3.75 was the first released size in the Star Wars action figure line. 12”was next but only several figures were released thru 1980.
I have them all

If it’s still sealed and the box is in pristine shape, that could be the price you are asking. If it’s totally complete, played with, and the box is worn and it has no inserts… you can maybe get 300 for it???
