I owned this as a child, and your video brought me so many memories of it just rolling in circles, haha. I'm really happy you were able to get that. Enjoy it!
Voltron is the biggest and most nostalgic franchise for me today. As a kid when that theme song would air I'd run to the television and my heart would skip a beat! It is the king of all the 1980s cartoon/toylines for me personally. And with Transformers, GI Joe, He-Man MOTU etc., that's saying something! I even asked my mom to change my name to Keith when i was like 6 yo...lol
Your pause, pose, and look at the camera as you stood next to Voltron was the universal “HOOOOOO am I really about to buy this? Is this moment really happening?!” 😂
I remember when you could buy Hot Wheels in stores. Back before Covid-19 hit. Now Scalpers empty shelves, clog eBay, and sell to 2nd hand stores. I've found maybe 20 new Hot Wheels cars over the last year and a half. Granted being disabled makes it extremely tough to get to these places before the scalpers run to the aisles. It's frustrating.
I saw this Voltron once at Comic Con Manchester, but he was £400. I talked myself out of buying him and have regretted it for years, as I have not seen it anywhere since. I bet he looks amazing with the castle of lions. Awesome find🫡
Just discovered your channel really loved this video your enthusiasm is amazing I’ve always tried to keep the inner child in me alive and seeing you and your mannerisms just makes me happy!! Also your wife is so amazing and supportive of your hobbit that’s incredible and rare to find cherish every moment
Its because of cool collectors like you Dan that allow me to live vicariously through all your awesome toy finds lol. That Voltron is an amazing piece, I want to own the original Lion, Vehicle, and Gladiator sets one day and I loved the XMEN pocket comics, I had them as a kid but my brother destroyed them like he did with my MIGHTY MAX sets. Congrats on the haul, and I love seeing the TOYBIZ Xmen toys still in stores.
Glad you bought that Voltron! Happy New Year to you and your family! Hope you are coming back to JoeFest 2025? and I love it when you do the Arnold voice😆😆
Back in 1995 my local mall had a Hills and the toy section had an entire aisle full of Toy Biz X-Men stuff. I had almost all of it. But when my buddies house burned down in 1996 I gave him my collection since he lost his.
"What are these". Atom is the third mask toyline spun off of the 80s mask toys! Yes, that mask! They made a cartoon also! Mask, vor-teck and atom are the three mask toylines! All three had cartoons also!
Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and your family Dan! Thank you for all the GREAT videos over the years! I've been following you since the King Grayskull review, never missed an episode of the He-Man podcast (which I miss very much) and was also honored to have met you at PowerCon. I hope you have a great rest of the year and can't wait to see what you've got going on for next year! 😎👍
Pretty sure saw FroggyFlips had a few of those Voltrons and sold them on from memory. What about your kid, did he find anything there too? Mine would be all over anything Star Wars!
So you know you might have a collecting problem when your kid says "you're getting that??? It's $300!!!" And your response is "...but it is on sale!" 😅 congrats!
That is nothing My most expensive Item was Transformers Masterforce Grand Maximus complete Boxed $800. As a single guy I spend thousands & Thousands on toys. 45 years old. I only have 5 grand in the bank. All my life savings went to toys. 2 and a half rooms full. I just got the lego Concorde for Xmas. & Working on the eiffle tower. I think .I rather have my toys then food. I only eat one meal a day really. They make me more happier in life.
I have several Hot Wheels pieces. The USS Enterprise, The Millennium Falcon, an X Wing and 4 variants of the Bat Mobile. I keep them in the packet. They look great hanging on the wall.
That's an awesome find. I remember my dad buying me that motorized voltron on a summer fair, way back in the 80's. When it broke down I took out the bottom screws and removed the motorized platform. I always used him as a metroplex stand-in for my transformers. Thanks for the memories, I hope you find the sword that goes with him.
Well, it was on our pre-wedding trip in 2001 that I found the Voltron I begged my parents for in 1984. But that was only $20 at a Kay Bee that was going out of business!
I'm 53 and only restarted my "collection" about 6 years ago. Thanks to ScorchedEarthToys showing me all the Robotech / Macross toys I had missed. Still have a few "grail" pieces I want to see, but I usually give away toys at Christmas, so the "hunt" is a lot of the "fun".
Man. I had that giant Voltron as a kid. Also, the brown wolverine, the blue and yellow, and a black and gold one. Stumbled across the wolverine mutant cycle in a tub in my garage last month.
Hi Pixel Dan and Pixel family, that place in Missouri is very beautiful and the store you visited is excellent, thank you very much and congrats for the haul, happy holidays and blessings! 🙏
I love everything about this video! Looking through Marvel Super Hero and early X-men cardbacks that I remember fairly clearly. My favorite Voltron that I used instead of the LJN one when I found him at a flea market (he was bigger!) and of course, The Hobbit playing in the background 😂
Just found you channel. Great video. We don´t collect the same toys but I like anyways. That Voltron must have been an awesome toy to get as a kid. I liked the Hot Wheels Christmas cars. Do you ever see any Hot Wheels Super Chromes from the 70s in any shops over there?
Hello I remember one that was diecast metal, that came apart and you can put it back into the tall Voltron Figure. It was from Japan and the toy store at the time was in California in the 1980's, I love the cartoon. Thank you for the video.
Happy New Year, sir! Also that Mummies Alive feature reminds me of that figure from 'The Mask' line I used to know, where the dog-head Mask would have a similar (if not the same) feature where the mouth would split wide open and drop at the waist while the eyes bulge out...Maybe the same guys or mold reuse?
that voltron is amazing! i always have to rescue stuff and bring whatever it is to what i call my retirement home collection so they are safe and that giant commander voltron is so kool pretty rare and goes for a lot more than 300 usually in worse shape so you did great and congrats on an awesome year! happy new year woooo! i cant wait for next episode!
Amazing journey this year on this channel! Loved every second, I genuinely look forward to it every Saturday! Glad you got that look from your wife that I always get, haha!
Dan, in regards to the original release of Toy Biz X-Men series. The first original wave all came with their own character cards. I believe once they switch to that J slot the cards were then random.
One of the things you found was that Toy Biz 90's Super Skrull figure. I actually have that figure in my collection loose. I am actually am collecting a few of the toy biz 90s marvel figure that I think are cool. Enjoy the video keep up the great work Pixel Dan.
KMO"s is a newer store..I think it used to be the Hot Sauce Shop that moved further north on Main Street. If i hit KMO's I have to keep my hands in my pocket the ENTIRE time, otherwise, I would go seriously broke on my planned budget everytime.
Oh I see what LJN did, they took the Jumbo Machinder Golion and retooled it with electronics. So it isn't "like" Mattel's Shogun Warriors, it _is!_ Well, sort of. In fact, you could just unscrew the platforms from his shoes and you'd get a standard jumbo.
Funny coincidence, I'm not a Hot Wheels collector either, but that TMNT van got me started while out shopping, up to four already lol. The MOTU Land Shark they made turned out really nice. I can see why adults collect them, we can't all be Jay Leno lol. 25:26 So true, Superman is the ultimate anti-accessories character, he doesn't need any vehicles or gadgets.😄I think oxygen is the only thing he ever needed for long periods in outer space. When I saw the title my first thought was something small but pricey, but really by the pound that has a lot of value to it, 25% off so it was a bargain heh.
That voltron is acrually a popy jumbo machinder that matchbox got the mold for and got rid of the missle fire action and all the missle holders and instead slapped a remote control base on its feet and gave him his blazing swprd. Thats why alot of jumbo collectors perfer this one because of the sword its to bad this one dosent have one. Its a great piece
With the Invisible Woman Toy Biz figure, they had originally released her with a color change ability, that did not work so well, so they changed to the launcher mechanism. The color change one I believe is rare at least by this line's standards, but still likely doesn't command a real high price. If I remember correctly the figure was short packed as with so many female characters at the time, so a lot of investors would snag them to keep in box keeping them from kids like me that just wanted to play with them(although I was just old enough to buy into the hype to keep it mint in box too so I might have waited a day or to before giving in to opening it up). I think it is the mix of being short packed initially and the confusion of the rereleased figure that caused a lot of these to be grabbed to keep mint on card.
Would you have bought it?
I think that's a really cool piece, but Voltron isn't enough of my thing to want it myself.
Depends. How much do the sword and the shield (or the Ninja-star lookalike shield) cost loose?! But, have to admit...it's a great looking toy :)
No,I have disdain for wired rc toys.
I owned this as a child, and your video brought me so many memories of it just rolling in circles, haha. I'm really happy you were able to get that. Enjoy it!
maybe at a much lower price, if it was complete and not broke
Voltron is the biggest and most nostalgic franchise for me today. As a kid when that theme song would air I'd run to the television and my heart would skip a beat! It is the king of all the 1980s cartoon/toylines for me personally. And with Transformers, GI Joe, He-Man MOTU etc., that's saying something! Epic vintage shop congrats on 1st anniversary of new ch Happy holidays dan👍🎅🎄
Whoa, thanks man!! Much appreciated!! 🙌🙌
Love that Voltron pick up it indeed has the shogun warriors feels to it 😀
Your pause, pose, and look at the camera as you stood next to Voltron was the universal “HOOOOOO am I really about to buy this? Is this moment really happening?!” 😂

Your Trapper Keeper shirt is the best! So cool!!!👌
I saw this Voltron once at Comic Con Manchester, but he was £400. I talked myself out of buying him and have regretted it for years, as I have not seen it anywhere since. I bet he looks amazing with the castle of lions. Awesome find🫡
I always celebrate Pixel Dan buying 'big ones'! Happy for you!
I love the colours on that Voltron - congratulations on getting it! And Happy New Year!
Just discovered your channel really loved this video your enthusiasm is amazing I’ve always tried to keep the inner child in me alive and seeing you and your mannerisms just makes me happy!! Wow brings back memories I had that Huge Voltron growing up, I remember it was almost tall as me back in the day, it was like chest height 😂
7:50 busy Holiday season got to Dan's editing. :(
He became Glitchy Dan for a second 👀
Keep keeping it real Dan, love your pure inner child that shines in every one of these vids.
One of the best reviewers still to this day.
"What are these". Atom is the third mask toyline spun off of the 80s mask toys! Yes, that mask! They made a cartoon also! Mask, vor-teck and atom are the three mask toylines! All three had cartoons also!
I remember Santa gave me giant commander Voltron for Christmas, and I had allot of fun playing with it.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and your family Dan! Thank you for all the GREAT videos over the years! Pretty sure saw FroggyFlips had a few of those Voltrons and sold them on from memory.
What about your kid, did he find anything there too? Mine would be all over anything Star Wars!
You should be able to find someone that can 3D print that gear if you know which one is missing.
That is what I thought too
Great place to be! Awesome to see you around the area! Merry Christmas!
So you know you might have a collecting problem when your kid says "you're getting that??? It's $300!!!" And your response is "...but it is on sale!" 😅 congrats!

STL comics is my favorite toy store!
Awesome dudes run that place! So awesome to see you do a show on them! Thanks for representing STL!!!
I have several Hot Wheels pieces. The USS Enterprise, The Millennium Falcon, an X Wing and 4 variants of the Bat Mobile. I keep them in the packet. They look great hanging on the wall.
That voltron and he-man hot wheel was awesome.
$300 ain't bad for that classic! Heck, there are Lego sets being released today that cost hundreds more than that.
The Santa Porsche is amazing!
I got your book for Christmas. Its one of the coolest things I got this year!
That's an awesome find. I remember my dad buying me that motorized voltron on a summer fair, way back in the 80's. When it broke down I took out the bottom screws and removed the motorized platform. I always used him as a metroplex stand-in for my transformers. Thanks for the memories, I hope you find the sword that goes with him.
neat video. i still cant believe you found that foreign sy-klone at the one store before...I want that thing !
Well, it was on our pre-wedding trip in 2001 that I found the Voltron I begged my parents for in 1984. But that was only $20 at a Kay Bee that was going out of business!
I remember playing with that Voltron in a store as a kid
Hey Dan! St. Charles son here. Loved that you enjoyed the town of my childhood! BTW...it's the Missouri River. ;)
53 years old is when I stopped blowing money on toys. 😢
That Voltron was a no brainer. Such a rad toy!
Love the video. Happy new year, Dan!
Awesome 🍀🍺🎊
I had that Voltron as a child, and I loved it.
Spencer's reaction was priceless! Amazing video as always
Dude i had that voltron in the 80s that thing was huge great memories with that toy and i left it at my grandmas place and magically disappeared damit
Awesome finds! I really love everything you put out on this channel I look forward to it every week. Thanks and keep it up!!
I hear time bandits playing in the background and I love it
3d Print yourself a sword until you can find an authentic one.
Man. I had that giant Voltron as a kid. Also, the brown wolverine, the blue and yellow, and a black and gold one. Stumbled across the wolverine mutant cycle in a tub in my garage last month.
Great show love it
That Voltron looks like some Cheap China Knockoff. 😂😂😂
Hi Pixel Dan and Pixel family, that place in Missouri is very beautiful and the store you visited is excellent, thank you very much and congrats for the haul, happy holidays and blessings! 🙏
Love the new Channel and you should totally do a "HAUL of the YEAR" video seeing which toy was your favorite to pick up during the year
The Superman with the net reminded me of the scene in Superman when he threw his symbol from his chest.
Beat me to it!
That huge S shaped fruit roll-up
Man if only i keep the the toys i had in the 70's and 80's.
I love everything about this video! Looking through Marvel Super Hero and early X-men cardbacks that I remember fairly clearly. My favorite Voltron that I used instead of the LJN one when I found him at a flea market (he was bigger!) and of course, The Hobbit playing in the background 😂
Surely someone can 3D print a gear for it
That is what I was thinking when he mentioned what was wrong with the Voltron
Just found you channel. Great video. We don´t collect the same toys but I like anyways. That Voltron must have been an awesome toy to get as a kid.
I liked the Hot Wheels Christmas cars. Do you ever see any Hot Wheels Super Chromes from the 70s in any shops over there?
I was born in ‘86, and Voltron was the first show I can remember watching
Hello I remember one that was diecast metal, that came apart and you can put it back into the tall Voltron Figure. It was from Japan and the toy store at the time was in California in the 1980's, I love the cartoon. Thank you for the video.
Brilliant find Dan. Awesome upload. 🤖 👍
Great video, You can really feel the excitement for toys! 👍
We have toy stores like this in Portland. Except the prices are x5 times what those are listed for.
Memory unlocked..lol.. me and my cousin had that voltron..
Happy New Year, sir!
Also that Mummies Alive feature reminds me of that figure from 'The Mask' line I used to know, where the dog-head Mask would have a similar (if not the same) feature where the mouth would split wide open and drop at the waist while the eyes bulge out...Maybe the same guys or mold reuse?
that's awesome brother!!!! happy holidays!!!
that voltron is amazing! i always have to rescue stuff and bring whatever it is to what i call my retirement home collection so they are safe and that giant commander voltron is so kool pretty rare and goes for a lot more than 300 usually in worse shape so you did great and congrats on an awesome year! happy new year woooo! i cant wait for next episode!
Thought for sure he was gonna grab that DeLorean. He went right over top for a cyclops bubble bath. 😂
@5:08 spining a toy in a display package being amazing, we know we're cooked 😢
Amazing journey this year on this channel! Loved every second, I genuinely look forward to it every Saturday!
Glad you got that look from your wife that I always get, haha!
U should get in Touch with RANDHI RAIN, she fixes all Toys.
You cannot go wrong with Voltron. Congrats Dan. Thanks again for another fun video.
Voltron is Classic!
Dan, in regards to the original release of Toy Biz X-Men series. The first original wave all came with their own character cards. I believe once they switch to that J slot the cards were then random.
Back in 2003, I bought a Voltron toy with the sword. I threw it away when I moved in 2009.
amazing piece!! Thanks for sharing
One of the things you found was that Toy Biz 90's Super Skrull figure. I actually have that figure in my collection loose. I am actually am collecting a few of the toy biz 90s marvel figure that I think are cool. Enjoy the video keep up the great work Pixel Dan.
I do have to admit that's an awesome Voltron
The Superman symbol shaped capture net is no worse than the cellophane capture baggies Superman used in Superman II. :)
KMO"s is a newer store..I think it used to be the Hot Sauce Shop that moved further north on Main Street.
If i hit KMO's I have to keep my hands in my pocket the ENTIRE time, otherwise, I would go seriously broke on my planned budget everytime.
Love the clothespin play feature on the Voltron hands 😂 That reminds me of the much smaller "computer controlled" Voltron.
I remember getting that robot lion at swap meet back in the day all complete but not for that price he's crazy.
What an awesome deal on a great score!
Micro playsets are great. My brother had one of those X-Men sets. He was full on the Mighty Max generation.
I love Voltron. I still have my og Voltron from the 80s. It's missing a few pieces, but man that thing is heavy lol
The first run of Toybiz X-Men series 1 contained matching Impel Marvel trading cards except Colossus who wasnt in the series.
Great video and pick-ups D. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and the fam.
What's funny is Invisible Woman was really tough to find when she came out and was going for crazy prices.
I never saw it anywhere.
Oh I see what LJN did, they took the Jumbo Machinder Golion and retooled it with electronics. So it isn't "like" Mattel's Shogun Warriors, it _is!_ Well, sort of.
In fact, you could just unscrew the platforms from his shoes and you'd get a standard jumbo.
with 300 i think i can have a nice retro transformable Voltron
Great toys, happy new year to you and your family 😊
No sword but has the box..... gotta get it! Lol....
Sweet!
Nostalgia is very dangerous… 😂
thats a lot of views for your sub count. you are about to blow up dan
That Voltron looks great!
Invisible woman was a series 3 release with vanishing color action which was changed to the more common series 5 catapult power launcher
You should honouring for Jack Angel!
Nuff said!
Funny coincidence, I'm not a Hot Wheels collector either, but that TMNT van got me started while out shopping, up to four already lol. The MOTU Land Shark they made turned out really nice. I can see why adults collect them, we can't all be Jay Leno lol.

Cool voltron .hope you can get it working .maybe someone can 3d print sword for you..thanks sharing

beautiful! 🎉🎉🎉
It's Saturday! Time to [hunt for] some toys!!
