Thank you! I shot this video 2 years ago, but now it’s forbidden to fly a drone in these places due to additional restrictions :)
Lots of people have been asking me how I could fly there and I had to explain that 2 years ago it was permitted :)
Beautiful footage! Did you do this just for yourself, or were you hired to do this by a hotel or tourist board?
I have a DJI mini2, and I will be visiting Malaga soon (I live in Canada). I tried looking up the drone laws for Spain, but it is a bit unclear to me. Is the kind of drone flight you did fully legal? (or did you just do it when no one was around, and hope for the best?) I'm a bit nervous flying the drones over streets or close to buildings, so I was wondering if there were specific drone rules for Malaga, or Spain in general, if you have researched this. I was going to leave my drone at home, but I am wondering if you have any advice about this. Thanks :)

There is a map with the restricted zones where you can't fly - so I would recommend to stick to it and check before you fly as DJI map is not always in line with the country-specific map. This one is the official one:

I checked the website you linked, and I am not sure if I understand it. For example, when I click on the map anywhere in the city of Malaga, it gives a statement "The flight of RPAS is prohibited". What is RPAS? I'm not sure if that means no recreational drone use at all in the city of Malaga?
RPAS stands for Remotely Piloted Aircraft System - it's just a formal name of your drone :)
The map is showing in red all the prohibited to fly areas. I just checked and they've added some more red zones, so area where I've flown became red no-fly zones now :(
(it used to be yellow - which just means some warnings and you should fly with cautious there)
@@alex__filmthanks for the information. I was wondering if I was reading the map correctly. It seems like everywhere in Malaga is now no fly zone, is that correct? If yes, that sucks! Nice shoots btw!
@@diogoredes just checked the map again and it looks almost everything next so the sea line is restricted... The only place I can see available is near Fuenjirola. Probably I was lucky that I had a chance to fly there while it wasn't restricted!

It would be for my personal instagram, not affiliated and I would not be profiting either. But this is the best damn drone footage from Malaga I’ve seen, and I’ll be visiting the city myself soon, so for my personal travel video project a snippet would be quite perfect.
