I feel u brotha…I just can’t side with you when it comes to calling out false prophets. Joel Olsteen refuses to talk about sin or hell and preaches prosperity gospel.
I think it’s important we guard our sheep.
    Love and respect. 🙏🏾

Hey brother, reaching out because I wanted to tell you I appreciate this video series. Coming from a reformed background I am wrestling through these issues. When I entered seminary I began to wrestle with these issues and realized the arrogance I had that you referred to in this. The last thing I want to do is be arrogant in my theology. And I’m sure you’re well aware of some reformed people that aren’t... I believe I’m starting to move away from reformed theology for several reasons but the main one is certainly (and as you mentioned in this video) the fact that we can get stuck in this system of theology. Meaning, we become a slave to a system rather than understanding the Bible in its historical/cultural context. NT Wright explains very well how we may be misinterpreting Paul in his Jewish context in Romans. (Although I don’t agree with Wright on many things). I do agree with him that we are allowing our interpretation to get stuck in the reformation. And as you explained in the video, it isn’t a timeless theology. Theology is always moving forward, it didn’t end at the reformation. Of course we have orthodoxy of the early church and councils but you brought up a good point there.
Anyways, all to say, from one reformed-ish brother in Christ to another, I love and respect you for your consideration of how God’s people should act. I wish that all reformed brothers could understand this, and it can only be God’s grace that removes their arrogance. A deeper study of the Bible in its historical context could shed light on this as well. I hope you now know there are some of us who are reformed, yet we have just come to a different interpretation using the same historical critical method. Thanks again man!

Love all of it !! Time someone at your level speak about this, trust bve told there should be NO denominations in body of Christ , we should all be walking in the fullness Of the gospel and NOT pointing fingers at who isn’t doctrinally right , instead walk in the love of God and in the gift of the spirit !and start winning souls instead of scaring them away .

Man, I can't wait for Christ to bring unity to the whole body. No more stigma and ostracization between denominations and schools of theology, just Jesus.

It's interesting that we as human beings have a way of interjecting our humanity (fallen aspect) into belief system such as Christianity and/or Reformed theology...and twist it.....you said that a woman prophesied to you saying that God trust you with His word...to teach it...Pastor Manny....I can clearly see/understand why.

Grace and Peace to you. I'm a Zero-Point Calvinist, and I think that Yah powerfully uses female preachers even when they teach men. However, Those experiences don't show that Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 14 and 1 Timothy 2 about women shouldn't be taken literally and universally. It means that Yah uses women in authority despite our misunderstanding of scripture.
    Scripture > Experience

Christ is THE CHOSEN ONE. He is THE ELECT. Those who are presently walking in faithfulness to God are in Christ (Rom.8:1,33; 2 Cor.1:21-22; Gal.2:20; Rom.6:3; Gal.4:6; Col.2:11-12; Gal.3:26-27).
By faith, God puts us in union with Christ. We are baptized into Christ by God's will, not our own will. God has elected to choose those of faith to be in Christ, and thus be covered with Christ and His work. Christ is the Elect One, and those who have obeyed the gospel are His body, and are “elect” insomuch that we are in Him. When we are joined to Christ by the work of the Father, through our faith, Christ's election becomes our election.
By faith, we are presently partaking of Christ and His work (Rom.11:17; 1 Cor.9:23; 1 Cor.10:17; Eph.3:6). Again, this is not on account of merit, but of God's action of putting us in Christ. By being in Christ, we are identified with His attributes, to include His righteousness (Rom. 3:21-22, 4:5,13; Phil.3:9). However we will not fully partake of Christ and His work unless we hold fast to our faith until the end (Heb.3:14; 2 Pet.1:4).
By faith we are presently Disciples of Christ. However not all disciples stayed with Christ (John 6:66). You confirm your election by remaining in Christ through faith until the end (John 8:31; John 15:4; John 15:5-7; 1 Cor.3:14; 1 John 2:24; 1 John 2:28; 2 John 1:9).
The elect are not those who may put faith in God sometime in their life. The elect are those who presently have faith in God and walk in faithfulness to Him and are in Christ. Only those who presently have faith are in Christ. Christ tells us that we must abide in Him, and if not, we will not bear fruit and the Father will remove us from the vine that is Christ (John 15:1-11).
The "ELECT" is the name for humans that have become adopted into Gods family through their repenting and being baptized.
The Angels are called His Elect Angels. Once again a name for a group of Holy Angels. (Nothing to do with salvation)
It is not a title for the selective, lottery salvation winners, of Calvinism.
God calls Israel His “elect” or “chosen” people. It has nothing to do with salvation or every Jew would be saved.
Chosen and election mean the same thing. It is always used for title of a group, or what service God has offered for you to do if you are willing.
It NEVER is about salvation or condemnation by God!
    Salvation is available to ALL.
We simply, or not so simply, have to reach out and take hold of the life preserver held out in front of us.
    TRUTH IN LOVE

Yes people just don't understand Calvinism. It is a mystery only understood by Calvinist. Non Calvinists just don't understand.
There are millions of verses proving Reformed 5-Point Calvinism are true!
The only problem is that they aren't in the Word of God but from the demonic minds of Heretics like Augustine, Calvin and Luther.
On behalf of all Calvinists everywhere please join in and let us sing this elect campfire song! Which is just for us!
"Jesus loves me, this I know.
As for you, I don't think so.
Only some to Him belong. We are right and you are wrong.
    Yes, Jesus loves me!
    Yes, Jesus loves me!
    Yes, Jesus loves me!
Aren't you happy and proud that God chose us for heaven and decided not to fry us in Hell like everyone else!
But then again, I hope this isn't effervescent grace that I'm walking in and instead I'm actually deceived and one of the reprobates that He created to burn as a candle for His glory in Hell forever."
    TRUTH IN LOVE
PS Seriously sir, they have made a monster out of our Loving God and Savior. I sickens me to the core of my being when I hear their slanderous Heresy. But many are waking up and leaving the Cult, so I continue in that hope. Every day is Calvin whacking day to me!

Bro, you are painting with a pretty broad brush. Not all who lean reformed are hyper-calvinists or cessationists.
I know most Pentecostals don’t like being defined by extreme hyper-charismatic wackos. The people of grace need to show more grace for sure, but I’m not sure how spirit-filled it is to generalize other groups in the same way with a rant like this.
I don’t see how this video is any different than Driscoll playing Osteen clips when it comes to unity in the body.

This video is filled with a poor understanding of Reformed theology. Actually the understanding of Reformed theology is none existent in portions such as the section on election. The heart of covenant theology is NOT individual election. Furthermore, this video doesn’t represent Reformed ecclesiology at all. No system of theology is perfect but this video filled with more myth than theology. It’s almost irresponsible.

Lol you keep saying that there's so much scripture supporting your position for women leaders but never actually reference anything. Either you're completely ignorant or you know you're lying. I'd love to see you try explain Romans 9. Why don't you come out and say you don't believe that the bible is God's word?
Do you know what an ad hominem is? Imagine a reformed person saying to you that they don't accept your theology because they don't want to be like you. It's a pity you aren't concerned about truth.
    Galatians 1:6-9
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel- not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.
    2 Peter 2:1
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
