Default playermodels for the US, CN, and RU Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon. Recorded on the map Propaganda for maximum visual clarity. Layout is:
Left: US
Middle: CN
Right: RU
Notes:
The US Marines use Multicam (used by the US Army but for some reason default to them), though MARPAT and MARPAT Desert are available customization options.
The People's Liberation Army use Type 07 Universal Camouflage by default. Other variants of the Type 07 pattern available in customization is the Oceanic Camouflage used by the navy and marines and the Arid Camouflage used in desert environments. Unrelated but strangely the Support uses a ballistic mask used by Taiwanese special forces. Also the default Chinese Assault used to have camo on his torso by default in the concept and pre release materials:

The Russian Ground Forces use "Arbuz" Flora camoflauge on their Gorka suits by default. By default the EMR "Tsifra" pattern would be more accurate but is available as a customization option.
A nice detail is how the visors on hall the helmets are opaque and the faces of the soldiers can be seen though them, even the gasmask of the CN Engineer.
I might do a video on the camos at some point. I say might because I don't have the CTE and regular DICE camos unlocked and idk anyone who does.
Sad the BF Cinematic Camera by Hattiwatti isn't supported anymore or I woulda used it here. Last I used it was to record a third person reload of the L85A2 in BF4 back in 2015:

RUS are very aesthetically pleasing, kind of rugged.. it also bothers me to no end that Cn support not have the ballistic mask down, along with russian K6-3
IIRC, the support units actually have their masks on their face in Singleplayer, and it will be bulletproof
but this is BF4's singleplayer we're talking about, that thing's a mess

man i love how the models acted when looking around, just seemed more real that you turn your torso mostly when looking around instead of completely turning your entire body just to look a tiny bit to the right

There is a smalll detail on ps4 where teammates turn their head if youre behind them

BF3 and BF4 would’ve had the perfect soldier customization model if they would’ve allowed for minor class specific customization options. For example, choosing b/w having the goggles in use or resting on the helmet for all assault classes. Smh always trying to reinvent the wheel instead of improving the tires🤦🏾♂️

The chinese assault and recon look kinda accurate to 2023 but there should be a type 21 camo and the fast helmet should be slightly differently shaped while the recon should look similar to the assault with a helmet included, the engineer looks accurate except for the mask and should be wearing a helmet, with a chinese gas mask, while the support should have a helmet rather than a ballistic mask.. obviously thats for accuracy, and i dont blame dice for trying to predict how chinas camos wouldve been in 2020, i guess they tried and thats what matters
However i think US and RU models are pretty accurate, the CN models arent accurate and nearly not as badass as the real life counterparts, but they still look good nonetheless. also being able to customize small parts wouldve been crazy
U.S Assault and Engineer army favorite. They look like special forces. I don't really get it why they have the marines wear multicam as a default skin instead of the marpat which was an unlockable camouflage.
Because they are based on US SOCOM/MARSOC.
They even wear M81 woodland but in G3 cut.
Kind of a pointless feature but I miss being able to see what gadgets and sidearms someone had equipped on their body like BF3

Gosh, as much as all movement animations look badass, how goofy Russian engi's face looks like... I wonder how DICE could literally forget to make face animations for one of 2 characters with an absolutely opened face, but did that for Russian Assault
Also have to admit that RU engi and assault are favorites

best engineer: all look badass tbh
best support: US - probably best character model
best recon: US/RU

This game is a masterpiece.
I wish they looked more like regular line infantry and not special forces. Like in bf2 or bfbc1 and bc2. I wanna see more ACH helmets, 6B47s and QGF03 helmets
You can find those kinds of models in the campaign. But that’s just about it.

nah we're the players fighting the real battles we deserve to be the special forces compared to the grunts in the campaign

The CN looks more like PAP rather than PLA, those old-school tac vests and ballistic masks were surprisingly popular among them back in the early 2000s
