Ikr, some of them could be wearing some reverse engineered Chimeran armor like in the co op mode. And they could also have exo armor seeing how SRPA have been studying the Chimera and their technology.

Honestly fall of man will always be my favourite but the scale of this mission blew me away, plus fall of man was the first piece of media to make me realise what an apocalypse was
@@Theosake People gave the first game the most shit I think. It came out in 06 before CoD made the scene on PS3/X360, but many called it a "Poor Halo copy" and the clunky controls. Keep in mind Insomniac was mostly experienced with Ratchet & Clank for 5 years and many of its ideas were transitioned over, some of which didn't fair well in the drastic genre change. As for the Halo comparison, I can see a slight reason for that, but in all honesty I think the setting, plot, and many of the chimeras traits share more with Half Life 2. Aliens appear, invade, nearly wipe out all of humanity to near loss. Take that and add the factor that the aliens "convert" humans and other beings and that nobody knows what they truly look like. I'd compare them rather than the salty Xbox Halo crowd back in 2006. Many of the designs, weapons, and vehicles were also influenced by Ratchet and even carried over later (The Stalker, Hellfire turrets and Splicer being the best examples from this video).
The lack of single player co-op really was a let down. Some of my best gaming memories were co-op Fall of Man with my friends. In that regard the second did disappoint me greatly. It’s still a good game on its own though.
1.PS3 exclusive 2.The market was flooded with identical shooters and this didn’t innovate at all outside of the chimeran weapons. WW2 shooters were everywhere like COD WAW.

Fun fact: in the first version of resistance 2 it is possible to jump on the marksman's shock drone. By being slightly elevated from the ground and shooting the drone down it will bounce back up and you can ride it up as long as the duration of the drone is. So thats epic

Watching your buddies get ripped apart, your nation totally decimated, and having to personally execute the last other man on your team will do that to you.
Man this level got me into the series as a kid, then I found out you could play the PSP game “infected” if you had Resistance 2 save files on your PS3, basically it let you play with a SERPA soldier’s regenerating health and you could breathe underwater, plus you get that badass armor and the story changes a bit

The PSP Version held up on its own and could easily compete with the console titles, it was a continuation of the ongoing war in Europe after the destruction of the Main Tower in Resistance: FoM. The Vita version however... It did add some decent story bits but over all it was just kind of bad. There was also the novels which were decent.

The Italian army was more effective in the resistance universe than it was in real life at that time period. If I remember correctly the Italians held out the longest on the main land Europe
Kind of. All of them are aliens in that point, but the Grims lack the tactic sense and gear of the common infantry, leading the way as a mob of animals
I found this series to be Terrifying non-horror because you're fighting an Enemy that is Turning your own species to reproduce and fighting back wouldn't make a difference and even after the 3rd game it just leaves more questions then answers like who were the aliens that fought the chimera before the humans
I know I'm really late to this. But I have to say that even though I really liked this game. I feel like the leviathan fight could have been a better fight. The size of it is very intimidating. But it's actually a very easy fight. I actually I actually expected it to be more of a challenge when I first saw it
I remember when I was little and I played this game every time me or my older brother fell in the water with the furies we would drop the controller and fuckin bomb out of the room and wait for hale to get killed lol

To me, the Grims (slim and fragile Chimeran banzai chargers in the beginning of the video) are more aliens and monsters than the Hybrids.
