  • Papa Bue's Viking Jazz Band 1992 Yellow Dog Blues: recorded at Monster, Holland 7 and 8 December 1992 and released under "Everybody Loves Saturday Night" this is one of the Papa Bue flag ship tunes he played in many times in his long career and issued albums of this name at least twice. Composed by WC handy (1912), "Your easy rider's gone where the Southern cross the Yellow Dog." The reference is to the crossing at Moorhead, Mississippi, of the the Southern Railway and the local Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad, called the Yellow Dog. By Handy's telling locals assigned the words "Yellow Dog" to the letters Y.D. on the freight trains that they saw. The Band: Arne "Papa Bue" Jensen Tb; Ole Stolle, John Defferary, Jørn Jensen, Ole Olsen, Didier Geers Track 08 of 13 SubmittedULAJAZZ March 06 2012
