I have 5 kids, and I homeschool them. I totally get the mom funk and when things don't go as planned. It took me a bit, but now I just go with it. Make good memories and try to have fun.

🏝️. I felt so bad that your Castaway Cay day was kinda disappointing. Our cruise was not without a few hiccups either, but we were still able to meet all the characters we wanted and didn’t have any of the shows interrupted. We had just met Captain Hook on our last Disneyland trip, so we concentrated on meeting Chip and Dale (both on Castaway Cay in their beach gear and in their pirate outfits on the ship), “Pirate” Stitch, and Captain Jack Sparrow on our Pirate Night/Castaway Cay day. Stitch had the longest wait out of all of them, but my daughter absolutely loved meeting him. They do announce before disembarking on Castaway Cay that anyone 18+ must have a government photo ID and everyone must have their “Key to the World” cards (regardless of age) to leave and then get back onboard the ship (at least they did on our cruise on the Dream). Looks like your towel creation was Davy Jones. We had pirate monkey towel creation for ours with chocolate pirate doubloons for eyes. We also had a lobster, Thor hammer, a baby elephant, and Baby Yoda (Grogu) especially for my daughter-who is a big fan. So fun!

When we went on the Wish last year, we only needed one key to the world card so it was on us for assuming it would be the same. Our awesome room Stewart wanted to surprise my daughter (after seeing her wear a Grogu shirt and asking her if she was a fan) to show appreciation for how clean our stateroom always was. We had a hanging mesh toiletry bag that kept everything off the bathroom sink, our dirty clothes in the laundry hamper in the closet, our luggage under the bed, our lanyards/hats on magnetic hooks on the walls, and everything off the vanity counter top/desk. We made sure that all clean clothing inside drawers or hanging in the closet and we didn’t eat in the room, so our beds and floors stayed clean. He said ours was the cleanest room he was in charge of and was so thankful.
