    I had my tooth extracted today & i chose this sta injection. It is magic! I don’t feel any pain during the process. It’s a great technology for a scaredy-cat like me 🤣 but it’s quite pricey. The cost for anesthetic only is almost the same as extraction. It’s like paying double price for getting one tooth removed. Pricey but worth the money

    I had two root canal treatment done recently and opted to try the Wand and a standard dental injection. I felt no pain whatsoever when the Wand was used, I didnt even feel the needle going in. In contrast, the standard dental injection stung more and was more uncomfortable but still bearable. All things considered, would definitely go for the Wand if I need dental work next time.

    if my dentist performs a block shot for a lower tooth and hits a nerve that makes my jaw and tongue feel like electricity, would this wand prevent that.

    • @josephsilberman5395

      Using The Wand would not necessarily prevent that from happening. What you felt was the tip of the needle being close to the nerve

    I have to get 5 root canals from the Endodontics. Would the Endodontics have this machine also? I also have some infection in the tooth and wondering if I would be able to get numb because I heard that people that got an infection in the tooth won’t achieve full numbness. I think my general dentist have this machine because I saw a machine like this shape in there. I hope the Endodontics she referred me to does have that machine and I get numb without a problem or being in little to no pain while getting numb.

    Dr. Joe, I know you said it works, but some other dentist in New Jersey said on his blog that 50% of the time, deep anesthesia was not accomplished. He also said that it was no less painful than a real needle. I guess the only way to really know is to try it for 30 days and if it doesn't work then you can get your money back. I was looking into The Wand because my patients always complain (and have even cussed at me!) after delivering the IAB. It kills me! That's the only injection that my patients complain about...I've come to really hate it now! However, I don't wanr to fork out thousands of dollars on something that doesn't work well! Please help

    • @DrJoe1818
      @DrJoe1818  6 лет назад +2

      Karisma7788 Sorry about not getting back to you sooner. I gave great injections before I got The Wand but I can tell you that my patients appreciate The Wand and many times don’t even realize that I still use a. needle! The anesthesia is profound and effective. How or why would it be different than using a traditional syringe?? That makes no sense.

  • @StayReal02
    @StayReal02 5 лет назад +4

    I personally don't believe in such "technology". What this machine does is to make sure the injection is as slow as possible.
    It's still a damn piece of needle (!) needed so why would it be anything different?
    If you inject slowly, nobody would complain but most of the dentist are scared of losing a few min of their time and rush with the injection and that's why the patient feels pain.
    And another thing to add:
    Yes this machine works perfectly if you tell the patient it WILL work, guess why?
    It's called: "placebo" and it's a hell of a drug, works better than any medicines out there! So yes, it will work.

    • @shaafx
      @shaafx 4 года назад +1

      Idk how it actually works but i had my tooth extracted using this injection & it was not painful at all. Ofc the dentist will apply some topical anesthetic first before injection. That’s why patient can barely feel the needle going in. This injection actually lets the needle go in little by little at first and as your gum starts to numb, then the dentist will push the needle deeper. I had my readings first before going to the dentist & it helps to lessen my nervousness 🤣
