Temperatures were a bit warmer this morning. The gorillas spent most of their time in the shade or in rooms that were temporarily open. Genki is really active. She frequently hangs out on the roof. She looks awfully young. Don't you think so?

MOMOTARO & GENKI Family ( Momotaro Fam)
Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAKK.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

Genki does look happy and healthy. Her eyes are pretty. There is something that is soft and baby like about her features.
Yes indeed Genki looks better than ever, her movements are agile.
Whatever the vets have done for her now works and kudos for the keepers and staff for restoring our beloved Genki’s health as she seemed unwell and immersed in childcare for years. She really gives all she has to her children. To see her thriving now makes me realize how unwell she’d been before. ♥️🦍🦍🦍🦍♥️
YES she looks wonderful. She appears spry and her coat looks softer and healthier. I am so happy she is feeling better, sleeping, getting exercise. This may be the best she has looked in years. Thank you for the video. Love this gorilla family.

Genki is a cute girl gorilla. Very petite and round! She has adorable and she seems to be doing well . Kintaro definitely keeps her on her toes! They are all beautiful though!❤️

I think Genki is and has been much healthier than the zoo staff has led ppl to believe. Look how much better she looked and perked up once they finally tended to that horrible abscess she had! That’s a nasty infection that doesn’t heal with just antibiotics, it needs to be drained and dealt with as well as antibiotics. Her oral care has lacked, and I’m not saying the zoo staff doesn’t love her and care for her very well. Just think how a toothache makes a person feel, now add a HUGE abscess to that! I could see a difference almost right away in Genki after it was tended to. She was active and climbing across the ceiling to get food. Her fur, her eyes and overall demeanor (besides the fear of being attacked by Gentaro or Momotaro) was very visible. She’s an awesome and beautiful momma and mate…a great Gorilla (I guess ppl can tell how much I love her 😂).

I think when Genki is pregnant she gives all her nutritional needs into making the baby!! I did that with my first and essentially your malnourished! It takes a bit to build yourself back up! And on top of that she had dental needs. Praises to the zookeepers for doing a beautiful job with our favorite girl! Face of an angel and one of the best moms around the world!!!! I love this entire family. Thanks so much for another great video !!! May you get your health restored back to you! Blessings!😊

Does Kentaro have a conflict with the door? It seems that often the door closes without Kentaro's consent!!?😅😊
I think I heard (if I remember correctly) that the doors there at that particular zoo don't close all the way on them when coming down, but that if one of them is in the way when the door is coming down, the door will automatically stop...so that's a relief if true.
It looks like Kintaro is teasing the keepers.

Genki is in great physical shape. Is she probably getting vitamins and minerals in granules?! Or other nutrients?! Genki stopped breastfeeding, it keeps her strong. She began to rest more. I would like Momotaro to pay attention to her. Genka's monthly cycle has returned, will she be able to conceive?
Only Genki gets special pellets for more nutrients.
I think maybe her hormones are kicking back in after all kink is 5 years old now she has stop breast feeding , so her hormones would now start to come back at full force. I do not think she is old enough to start menopause? Her coat is shiny. She has more energy and all signs of hormones coming back. But I am just guessing.
Gorilla go through menopause? I think not

Nadie sabe si Genki entrará en celo o no. Definitivamente hay un largo intervalo entre el regreso del celo de Genki.
