This song has been brought to my mind by the Holy Spirit in me recently; we sing this at the Reformed Baptist church I attend. Just a beautiful picture of our Rock in whom we hide! Having Scripture based songs to sing to point me back to Christ is vital, and I'm so grateful for the Lord working in you, Wendell. I'm 40 wks 6 days pregnant now, waiting for my little one to be born, and desiring to find my hope in Him instead of despairing....I may be shaken, but not greatly shaken, because God is my refuge. "For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken." Psalm 62:1-2
This is so beautiful. Thank you, so much, brother. I came across this song two days ago when I was in a very dark place, looking at all that is going on, and tempted to despair. I began to listen, and the Lord then ministered to me at a very deep level. Since then, I’ve played it many times over. I will not be shaken; I am clinging to the Rock, and looking up, knowing our salvation is coming soon. Our redemption draweth nigh. Looking to Him, the Blessed Hope.
Thank you for that great song of psalm 62. You sing it so simply, with such a great tone. I’m sure it has ministered to many, and may God bless you richly as you seek to encourage others.
Really beautiful hymn. I also have a posted version which is much different, called “Unshaken,” on RUclips. This psalm, 62, is one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing, and God bless you, brother in the Lord.
@@wendellkmusic It would be so great if you did a guitar tutorial on My Shepherd will supply my every need that you play with Lauren Hofer at Cardiphonia..Psalm 23.. although I'm sure that one would be hard to sing,, I try to stay a couple of octaves lower,, bass.. this one could be my favorite too,, anyway thank you for all your labor in The LORD, for it is not in vain, and mot of all thanks be to our LORD for your much needed ministry..
Beautiful rendering of Psa 62❤️😊
May the Lord bless you with more of His music & His truth to bless His beloved!! 🙏🙏
