I had trouble getting my Campbell Hausfeld to prime too. I ended just putting a hose clamp on the clear hose up by the block. What I think is happening is it is sucking air just before the block rather then sucking from the bottom of the hose. It is working now every time.
I don’t have my sprayer anymore. It ended up being a rubber seal in mine that i replaced with a new one from a harbor freight kit. Sounds like you got yours figured out, hopefully that tip will help others.
@KurtStevens-yi1jo Could you help me with a photo since I have the same problem and there is no pressure, in the video it does not show when you remove the block and what changes that is my question, thank you
Dude, I bought the exact airless paint sprayer that was not working too. The problem with mine was the end of the diaphragm was wore off and I had to get a new one and the block was needing cleaning. Also mine has a little filter at the gun so that has to be cleaned before using or after painting. Mine works now. Thanks for the video.
glad you got it going! hopefully the video helped. mine came with some spare filters but i don’t think i mention the filter because i was getting stumped on mine after checking the obvious!
Hello, by chance do you have photos or video of the part where you remove the block since it is not visible in the video, I have the same problem on the same sprayer, I hope you can help me, excellent video
I no longer own the sprayer but from what i remember it was very simple to remove block with alan head bolts. Also take off the prime/ spray knob. My rubber seal was blown!!
@@mariosolis9367 ok then the head could be plugged. you will want to pull it. the fluid will spill out if its tipped. I believe its just compressor oil. try to keep it all in.
Seems like you're very new to this. I've been painting and using airless sprayers for 40 yrs and the one thing I always say is treat the spray gun like a loaded gun. Getting injected with paint at 3kPSI can be deadly if not taken care of IMMEDIATLY.
I have owned one years ago but a lower psi different make. I never looked at it that way thanks for the advice! I will be painting a whole house with it hopefully.
i found alot out of stock. i did find one on ebay but remember mine being all white maybe you can see if it crosses over. www.ebay.com/itm/334685447129?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=EAmJar-oTKS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=VNFXGVRZQ_2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I just got one of these, but a little older model on Craigslist. It's in great shape and I went through your video before using it. After a day of spraying toward the end of the day the unit shut itself off I believe because of overheating. After a cooldown I heard a click and it was able to be run again. I just gave it an oil transfusion, and we'll test it again tomorrow. Have you run into that particular problem yet?
I sprayed two garage doors with mine and an entry door. i thought maybe my paint was to thick towards the end because i ran out after spraying both over head doors and mixed in some 3-1 primer i thinned down with what was left. The unit did shut off to where it would not turn back on. I ended up taking the head off with alan wrenches after trying everything. i took it apart and inspected everything. put back together and thinned out some more and it worked fine. It sounds like yours did get to hot unless maybe you think the paint got to thick? Changing the oil was probably a good idea! Hopefully that will keep it running cool.
I have that same paint rig can you please help me figure out how to get high early spray up to work, Thank you in advance sir, I'd like and subscribe to your channel.

@@Zacpactv thank you very much for your reply
Anyone know where to buy a 2-3’ spray tip extension? Most of the ones around have 7/8” female end which doesn’t fit CH equipment.
You lost me at spray tip extension. Is it just and extension that you plug and play on the end of the nozzle?
It’s a metal tube that extends out the spray tip from the spray gun so that you have longer reach and less splatter on the painter.
@@Renew60 ok i have not seen anything you just pop on the end like that without taking gun apart.
@@Renew60 what size are the ch ends? Are you referring to the treads?
@@Zacpactv the diameter on standard extensions which you can buy is 7/8” which is too big for the CH spray gun.
