IMO its kinda dumb that if you even slightly get within a fenrir mine range for a single frame you get fully blinded. I would prefer if the mines were bullet proof but slowly built up the blinding effect the longer you stay in the mines range. But if you step out of the mines range the blinded effect immediately starts to fade.
that feels more natural aswell. Like if a new player came up against Fenrir they'd definitely expect it to work more like that than what it is now.
Completely agree. Even operators similar to Fenrir don’t cause such a long stun duration
For example, Melusi has her slow down effect but it doesn’t lock you down for long before you learn how to deal with it.
However, with Fenrir, you are IMMEDIATELY blinded with no counterplay (unless you knew where the trap was) and even then the effect lasts a lifetime even after you’re out of range (compared to melusi who immediately loses her slowdown the second you walk out of range or LOS)

@@strAfe.exe.The soundcues are fine. Lesion have the same ones. It's true that the smoke effect shouldn't last that long still but Fenrir is in a way better spot now that the mines are fully destroyable

Just like the Tubarao and Azami changes before, I think they hit a really good spot with Fenrir...
they toned him down (he cannot cover as much ground as before) but gave him a really good tradeoff...
They "nerfed" the aspects that made those ops broken but kept all the good stuff that made them A or S tier ops to begin with (the complete opposite of what they did to Ela)

@@juno1time my eternal question! I literally did a lot to try to fix it like reinstalling windows all together and nothing worked. So sorry I can’t help for now
@@juno1time I found a fix, launch the game with DirectX 11 and not Vulkan. For now, it's Vulkan that's bugged out.

Fenrir is still awesome fr. F-NATs reloading after being destroyed is a HUGE buff and they made it extremely balanced with less of them available. Pretty rare for Ubisoft to get it so right on balancing an operator (they fumbled the ball as usual on Solis though lmfao)

@@Tactical_Nuke0 They did not. They BALANCED him, which is very different and not usual for Ubisoft. They gave him a buff AND a nerf that made him an extremely balanced op.

The Solis gadget range nerf and the removal of impact nodes was way too far for a Solis nerf. The gadget timing changed, the charge time change, the required full charge to use change and the no prep phase change were good though.
I was just thinking last night while playing as/against Fenrir that this "nerf" didn't feel like it hurt him. You have to be slightly more mindful where you place your mines, but other than that, I don't feel this change impacted him nearly as much as I thought I would when it was announced. I agree he shouldn't be changed rn tho, and he's in a good spot. One of my favorite operators to play right now when he isn't banned.
Rumors has it that they will nerf fenrir more, they didnt want to make him usless before they dropped the elite skin
