Not being able to use her ability during prep is good, actually. It punished people for droning for intel at the start, something people already don't do because lol phone phase. Everything else was a bit much, I agree. But prep phase nerf was EXTREMELY needed.
The reduced range and non prep phase was all that was needed imo

She did have some utility atleast like plant denial and hunting drones in prep phase. Without those she was reduced to a pure roamer with pretty much no gadget or secondary but 2 primaries. Ubi jus love shortsightened nerfs tho

i’m happy solis has gotten nerfed heavy, people seem to forget this is only the first part of more planned solis changes so she will be good again in a less toxic way hopefully. I play in a lot of 10Ms where solis gets picked or banned every game so having a season where she’s just no longer something to worry about has been refreshing lol, allowing other defenders to be played and banned in her place is nice

I think they should buff her scan speed and make it so scanning only wastes half of the entire cooldown so scanning with full hability or with very low remaining habilty is more advantageous and MAYBE make so once she scans if she is still on the SPEC-IO it live pings enemy utility like a lion scan or a deimos tracker but for eletronics... could be cool
Basically they should add some new mechanic with the scan so she is kinda more balanced and not as weak and solo focused run and gun

This is what all “hero/operator” games do. They release a new character in a super broken state, wait for it to become a problem in the money pit that is esports, then gut it. League, OW, Siege, For Honor (no esports), Etc. They want to boost skin sales or just player count, esports ruined the game industry. Instead they could have removed some broken aspects of solis, but kept her fun. Fun and esports balance don’t mix.

Losing impacts and making it so you cant use her gadget unless its fully charged both took the nerf too far. I feel like the rest of the nerfs are fine
with modern gaming you have 25-33 year olds that have been playing fps shooters since 8 years old or earlier. people are still demons in their early 30's nowadays. sure 19-23 is a crazy demographic but players like shroud definitely show how age affects these last 2 gens even less. if you've trained your brain with a specific skill for 2+ decades you'll surprise yourself with the longevity you can show in the fps world.
