"Some folks see my faults, but Lord you see my accomplishments" I think the objective of this song is the realization that what we do for Christ is what really matters. Rest in PEACE Walter.
Uncle Donnie IS THE MALE BOSS IN GOSPEL MUSIC! He is indeed an ANOINTED CLASS ACT THAT IS UNMATCHED! He is the ABSOLUTE BEST MALE GOSPEL MUSICIAN ON THE PLANET! He along with the ANOINTING OWNED THE SONG WITH EASE. GOD'S BEST BLESSINGS TO YOU UNCLE DONNIE AND WE SALUTE YOU. He did an AMAZING JOB! MEGA BLESSINGS TO HIS STUNNING KIDS MATTHEW AND MICHELLE, HIS SIBLINGS, HIS NEPHEWS AND NIECES. SCHOOL THEM BOSS! YESSUH!
Donnie McClurkin owned this song under his vocal range and anointing. And that signature E flat "Jeeeesus." Fabulous Directing, Richard Smallwood! #RIPWalterHawkins
Bishop Hawkins was Donnie's inspiration. He has spoken about the Hawkins Family and how their music helped him in his own walk. Everyone knew that he was going to be moved after Walker passed. I am amazed he made it through the home going.
I remembered watching this i knew Donnie would start talking in tongues lol he felt that whole song and those other men were on it the spirit of God took over this performance frfr
Ya know.. I don't really like how everyone else is comparing how Donnie sang better than the rest and how the rest couldn't keep up.. that may be true.. that COULD be because the song meant so much to Donnie because he had been through something to know what it feels for God to bring him OUT.. and to him it was Marvelous.. and that was Donnie's WORSHIP song.. I HIGHLY DOUBT there was any competition among any of them... as the man of God said.. "This is God's doing" ... Just refer to that!
This song puts me in a new wave of prayer anytime I listen. From the day I conducted this song in a choir to this day.. It is not about the soloist.... just the song. God bless Walter.
God did not bless me with a singing voice but I am so grateful that he blessed me with an ear and enough thought to RECOGNIZE. GOD please continue to bless these three singers to minister to us. SHOW OUT DONNIE!!!!! YOU TOO TED!!!
what a beautiful tribute to a legend...When people love the one they are honoring it brings out a special depth of amazing range and emotion that would not be there if that special bond was not there,,,,awesome...what a tremendous gift to Walter and his memory!
So Sad to be wrapping up our wonderful paradise getaway. Woke up this morning with this song in my spirit...Want to thank my Loving Father for giving us such a MARVELOUS life in HIM! #geniusofwalterhawkins #donnieblessedmysocksoffthismonin #inhispresenceworshipping
I think all three are Anointed Singers in their own right, GOD Bless the Gifts he's given to each one of them. I pray all they do be done to the Glory of GOD.
This is outstanding! Donnie, Oh My.... But take a moment to watch the Detroit choir at Aretha Franklin's funeral performance of this song . They didn't even have a lead vocalist (smile). Even President Clinton had to stand up and look at the Choir. The audience was on their feet, as here. Faith Hill got caught up in the spirit...the choir was remarkable. Check out their performance of Marvelous.
They were phenomenal. What made it even more awesome was. they didn't need a lead(s) screaming all through the song trying to be seen as we hear here. As awesome as Donnie is, he and these other guys are doing a bunch of screaming. It takes away from the effectiveness and anointing of the song.
The Detroit Mass Choir killed this. Although, there was a mic singer(Soprano) that made sure she was singing louder than anyone else in the entire building. I'm like, can you please try and BLEND? She was annoying.
yet, I'm Still wondering why Kevin Bond never thought of doing a Gospel Master Piano Class.. like Jason White, Mike Bereal.. We have so many things we can learn from him..
The only two gospel male vocalists that can hang w/ Donnie (range wise) are Micah Stampley and William Murphy, III. And that's who should've been up there accompanying him LOL. That's just my opinion.
Allow me to say this,to those who are comparing here,Donnie,Byron, and Ted did an excellent job, and for the record,Ted actually sings with the legend directing the choir, the maestro Mr. Richard Smallwood, not to mention working with Donald Lawrence....Byron is an amazing singer in his own right and handled this song well, and Donnie....I honestly believe that Donnie may have wanted them there because he may have broke down in mid song because of how much Walter meant to him! I don't know how true that statement is, but that's what I believe. Again, not bashing anyone, but just saying to those who are comparing....chill
@revj-- you're right, but he is speaking hear principally as an old friend of the Hawkins family. His main teaching is called the doctrine of 'inclusion'. It asserts that all the world is saved without need to receive Jesus, there is no original or authentic sin, & there is no eternal punishment for sin. If we are faithful and study the Word of God it is clear that he is incorrect. The best policy going forward is not to give him a platform to address the saints & NOT to call him Bishop.
I'm sorry tbh Byron was doing waaaay to much and doesn't have the voice nor vocal range to sing this song(not saying he can't sing at all btw). Now as for Ted Winn, I've seen and heard better from him and I was a little disappointed because I know he could've blew the rooftop off the building (tbh I didn't feel any anointing while he sang his ad lib's). Finally Donnie, he did what Donnie does. And just to dead this convo on who could keep up wit Donnie, and Bryon & Ted couldn't keep up. Neither Bryon nor Ted could hang with Donnie on "Marvelous" because #1 this song was near and dear to Donnie as he has sang it with Walter many times before, #2 Bryon could've never kept up Donnie because of his range, #3 Ted could've hung wit Donnie on this song 🤦🏾♂️idk what was going through his mind on stage that day🤦🏾♂️, and #4 There are many male gospel singers that they could've put in place of Bryon and Ted that could hang with Donnie McClurkin for example: Daryl Coley(who was in the choir singing), Bishop Paul S. Morton, Marvin Sapp, Tonex, Issac Carree, Zacardi Cortez, William Murphy Jr, Joshua Rodgers, Smokie Norful, Earnest Puge, John P. Kee, Bryan Wilson, West Morgan and...... y'hall get it!
Byron and Ted can just go and sit down somewhere! There are only TWO GREATS on that stage. Do you see RICHARD SMALLWOOD!!!! DONNIE AND RICHARD. YES JESUS!!!!!
Byron Cage, just STOP, he is just Too Extra, Too Thirsty. He's trying to outdo Ted n trying to hang with Donnie Mc,,,NO, he need to stay in his lane as "The Hype Man" No Comparison just a thought :}
"Some folks see my faults, but Lord you see my accomplishments" I think the objective of this song is the realization that what we do for Christ is what really matters.
Rest in PEACE Walter.
Folks just enjoy the song and stop comparing.

I understand what you mean but Donnie has the Holy Spirit all over him!! You feel that from him. Praise God! Life and Favor to everyone 😌
Not true they sung their parts it wasn’t a competition, the collectively came together to praise God and celebrate a life without egos.

What an AWESOME tribute! All to the Glory and majesty of God our Father! He is indeed MARVELOUS!
what a beautiful tribute to a legend...When people love the one they are honoring it brings out a special depth of amazing range and emotion that would not be there if that special bond was not there,,,,awesome...what a tremendous gift to Walter and his memory!
They all did a wonderful job from the singers all they way down to the bass guitar, GOD was all over it.

Intense and powerful. An incredible tribute to a man who did marvelous things by the grace and power of God. This transcends...

Yay!! Richard Smallwood is directing the choir. All three vocalists sang wonderful. It was great to hear Ted, Byron, and Donnie.
Thank you Lord!
@TheMerelyHuman He was in true worship here! Sing, Donnie!
I wish everyone knew this song to remember that EVERYTHING the Lord does is Marvelous!
Donnie sang that song like he wrote it!❤️
Because Donnie had reached that other realm.. I'm a great fan of Donnie McClurkin! Love him.. I look at him as MY spiritual Grandfather lol :).
It is the same...I am a fool of Donnie mcclurkin...
Kevin Bond!!! on the keys, so blessed and anointed
yet, I'm Still wondering why Kevin Bond never thought of doing a Gospel Master Piano Class.. like Jason White, Mike Bereal.. We have so many things we can learn from him..
This song gets me emotional...
Gives me chills!
Powerful!!!!! Thank you for sharing.
Donnie McClurkin is the REAL Walter Hawkins Jr.!!!!
lovely

@BuffieVanderbilt YOU AND I BOTH !

GOD IS REALLY GOOD
All they're doing is hollering. 😱
Is that Richard Smallwood directing the choir?
They could have let Donnie do this solo. He carried the entire song and it was great.
Donnie Killed both of them hands down!!!!
God bless you Donnie, I know this was diffcult for you.
@BluBarbi98 Yes it is
In all fairness, I think that only Walter Hawkins HIMSELF would have been able to do that song with Donnie!
@BluBarbi98 yes!!
@revj-- you're right, but he is speaking hear principally as an old friend of the Hawkins family. His main teaching is called the doctrine of 'inclusion'. what this song?
Marvelous by Walter Hawkins

Byron and Ted can just go and sit down somewhere! There are only TWO GREATS on that stage. Do you see RICHARD SMALLWOOD!!!! DONNIE AND RICHARD. YES JESUS!!!!!
Donnie's range is all sorts of out of control. I almost caught the holy ghost.
Yuck
who invited Byron Cage??? his voice doesn't even fit for this song let alone singing with Donnie McClurkin
Byron Cage, just STOP, he is just Too Extra, Too Thirsty.
He's trying to outdo Ted n trying to hang with Donnie Mc,,,NO, he need to stay in his lane as "The Hype Man"
No Comparison just a thought :}
lol Why they didnt have Donnie to sing this by him self.Byron and Ted didnt fit, but Glory to God anyway.I cant sing like any of them!!!
This song was out of range for byron.....
