- Welcome everyone to my first video in 2023.
I hope you’re having an excellent year so far.
While on holidays in Croatia I randomly felt like sushi, and as my wife was flying to Dubai via Vienna I thought to myself: “Why don’t I join and connect to Tokyo instead?” And so I did!
And I can promise you that it was well worth it!
I had an incredible flight on Austrian’s B777-200ER and got severely spoiled by the crew.

The flight to Tokyo was one of the best trips I’ve done. Not only because I love Japan, but because I had an incredible time on board Austrian. You’ll see, it’s close to finished!

G’day mate, another lovely little vid. I really enjoy flying embraer’s especially the E190 which I flew twice last year between Alice Springs and Darwin. I find the seats much more comfier and roomier than the B737-8’s and A320’s we normally get to fly here in Australia. PS love the wife’s engagement ring…..

Don’t miss out on Japan this year! Not just for sushi, but also for Ramen and other stuff.. It just is 100 times better in Japan.
I’ve never flown their neo yet, there’s only 2 in the fleet so far so you were lucky to fly it!

And the joke of the day is that 4 days before I was stung in my shoulder by a wasp and it got nasty, so I was double traumatized😂.
And the flight attendant just grabbed the wasp with her hand and a cup like she didn’t even care. Ah well, heroes and cowards😅.

Great vlog Alex as always. I never knew Austrian had embraer but at least now I know. I say you have the best quality vlogs ever even better than simply aviation. Don’t tell them though
They used to have dash 8-400’s too and many more types but I think they got rid of them recently.
Simply Aviation is great, but I like to think that we target different videos. I love theirs and those of other video makers, so I tried to do something that is not completely done before.

Nice video. Always seen austrian airlines when looking for my tickets and thought hm no...don't know why. 🤣 last 6 months or so Vienna- bkk had a very good price compairing to the others. Since i am oneworld saph with qatar i never looked closer to this airlines. Would be interesting to see what you think about their LH flights especially the 777. Cheers. 🙏

Awesome videos as always. Question. So you are allowed to bring alcohol onboard to consume on the flight in Europe? Here in America they will not allow you to consume any alcohol you brought on board unless you hide it from them while you are drinking it 😂. Safe travels.
Good observation. I actually didn’t think of it, I never really do it. But on this occasion the flight was just over 30 minutes and I didn’t expect any service at all. Plus they sell it, so I just got it!
I know that in Emirates you can bring your own booze but you have to give it to the crew and they will serve it for you.
Didn’t think of it until you told me!
Hope we dont have to wait too long for the VIE-NRT flight, does your wife do a trip-report on her DXB-flight too? :DD
haha! If she made video’s it would be great, she can be good fun. It is eventually my plan to make some video’s together if RUclips becomes my full time job.

Great report, comme d'habitude. I am surprised Austrian lets you pour your own booze in flight. That would have landed in trouble with any US carrier.
How much is economy class from Zagreb to Vienna ? approximately...
I was connecting so I paid something else. Most people are connecting as it’s easier to drive.
But I think it should be around 150€..

So where is Flydubai primary and secondary operations at DXB????? Terminal 2 and outside next to Concourse D???? And Secondary Operations, is it at DWC? And secondly, what is the future of Emirates Airlines??? If it is experiencing some sort of growth, would some of the leftover operations be send to DWC as the secondary operations?
What is the difference between Dash-8 and ATR??? They look all the same to me.
Different manufacturers and they even look very different, have a look on Google!
