Hello mate , great content ,
Would you recommend the EH-TW7000 over the viewsonic x2-4k or viewsonic X10-4KE ?
Are the x2-4k and X10-4KE even in the same wight class ?

    • @homecinematech

Your models are very different than each other. X10-4K is short throw / X2-4K is very good gaming led long throw and Epson TW7000 is a bulb cinema projector with lot of good features. if I had to pick one myself I would go X2-4K because of 60000 led life and gaming features to connect my Xbox SeriesX or PS5 . but X10 has good spakers probably the best of 3 so it all depends on your setup. if your room is small and you want big screen X10 is your option. By the way Epson TW7000 Projection Lens F Number 1,49 - 1,77 viewsonic models arround 2.5 if I remember correct so zoom is better with Epson 3LCD so I think colors will be better ( I havent tried others yet ) so choose your needs than projector

Hello! Thank you for the nice video and for your overall tutorials! Could you please give me your advice about a living room home cinema set up? I have bought the Epson EH-TW7000 and I would also like to buy a projection screen. First of all, where would it be ideal to put the projector, at the ceiling or at the back of the room (5.90 meters)? Also, what screen size would be ideal for the projector? My sofa is in the middle of the room about 3 meters away from the wall. Regarding the model of the screen, is Elite screens Spectrum electric a good choice? Many thanks!

    • @homecinematech
      @homecinematech  2 месяца назад

Hi first of all you are welcome to channel 😊 As long as you dont have light fixtures between screen and projector you can place on ceiling or till the end of the room but as I mentioned in my Throw Ratio Explained Video : ruclips.net/video/7ZxxUBSHlWs/видео.htmlsi=rt66X1JnD6JadHko / robot.epson.eu/products/projectors/home-cinema/eh-tw7000#specifications throw ratio of this projector 1.32:1 / 2.15:1 so for not zooming for 135" screen you have 3.9 meters if you zoom 6.45m distance for same screen. What will your screen size ? I don't recommend fully zooming in because most of the time lens is not fixed diaphram from wide to zoom you will lose little bit of sharpness at this price point. but you can use it easily if 135" is your size. if you got a bookshelf you can put your projector than I suggest try that first

@@homecinematechThank you for your reply. I was thinking of a 110' screen as my sofa is about 3 meters away from the screen. 120' or 135' will be too much no? I cannot test it as I still have not moved to my new apartment yet. Regarding the type of the screen I am hesitating between a white and a grey ALR. The projector will be placed in the living room which has 3 windows in the back of the screen and 1 next to the screen. For an 110' white screen I checked that I need 3,20 meters of minimum throw distance. But If I go for the grey ALR this would be at 3,60 minimum throw distance (because of the different ratio for the ALR screen). What's your advice on that; Have you tested the Epson TW7000 both with a white and an ALR long distance screen? In order to have the best image quality I shouldn't use the zoom or wide lens option at all or use just a little bit of zoom or wide?

    • @homecinematech

@left_kalog @left_kalog 3 meter is very short for 120" size 100" could be ok ruclips.net/video/BD8bY7oh5_k/видео.htmlsi=5wLd9VojKifmBD5a video shows your style long throw ALR screen performance but it is more important are you going to use it afternoon or un day time too? ruclips.net/video/ZpNedoDK5t0/видео.htmlsi=mcBSi3UXq8w6T3q1 this video might give you some ideas. Tw7000 has good optics you wont feel too much of difference with zoom dont worry

@@homecinematech thanks! I want to use it the whole day if possible that's why I am considering the Elite Screens DayWalker 2 Tab-Tension CineGrey 4D which is ALR with 1.1 gain and Viewing Angle : 70°. I would prefer wider viewing angle for sure.
      - Will the 1.1 gain be sufficient for 3000 lumens?
      - For the Lens Minimum Throw Ratio of this screen (>1.5x Image Width), If I buy the 110' screen this means that I have to place the projector at a minimum 3.6 meter distance away from the screen?
      - In the screens manual it is written that ambient light must not from the same direction as the projector. What does it mean exactly?
I bought the Epson TW7000 3 years ago and I have been always projecting in a white wall. I believe this ALR screen will be a huge improvement, right? I love the projector's brightness but I would like to enhance the contrast and also use it during the day, that's why I am considering this screen.

    • @homecinematech
      @homecinematech  Месяц назад +1

@@left_kalog ALR will change everything in experience. even it is 70 degree view angle still long throw ALR screens has to get the light from straight angle so if you have ligh coming from below like RGB led strips or lights bouncing from ceiling still you will loose little bit contrast with Long Throw ALR
That is why if it's daily people use it with UST and UST ALR screens they block everything over 45 degre angle from high like ceilings and side lights and you got 170 degree viewing angle. if you are going to stay long throw you dont have to much option .
You will be very happy after you buy the ALR if I remember 0.8 gain wider anlge Long Throw ALR screens oout there too

Hi, thanks for the great videos !
I just wondered would you recommend the TW7100 ? I think it's supposed to have a bit better contrast than the TW7000? Not sure whether to go for that or a single laser projector. Thanks !

    • @homecinematech
      @homecinematech  7 месяцев назад +1

Hi, TW7000 is an older model today's standarts
ruclips.net/video/BD8bY7oh5_k/видео.htmlsi=pu4QYOnhTYuikQZR video shows you can add hudge amount of contrast with ALR screens so I suggest You should invest some money to screen and for the rest look out for specs you'll need.
if you are not going to watch up close to very big screen instead of 4K I can recommend similar priced FullHD LED or Laser models because contrast is hudge I am looking for similar setup for long throw for 4-5 days now myself.
      ViewSonic X1-4K 2900 Lümen LED or X2
Optoma ZH403 4000 Lümen Full HD Laser
ViewSonic LS610HDH 4000 Lümen Full HD LED
      Epson EH-TW6250 2800 Lümen Android 4K
I've written Epson at last it has 1.6x Zoom and Good Android Operation System for Casual Use
Smaller than TW7000 because 7000 and 71000 is hudge I know contras is lower but I can solve that with ALR Screen

      ruclips.net/video/uWflZ_NJfPo/видео.html
      ruclips.net/video/jk79bCqtdLo/видео.html
      Videos will help you.
I am still between Higher Resolution and Lower Contrast or Higher Contrast and Lower Detail its also matter of how close are you going to watch and how big the screen is ?
I've created a Guide it will be online in 1-2 weeks hopefully
      don't forget to sub 😊

I am converting my setup to long throws again and I am in a search of long throw projectors. I think this will depend on your needs I think we should be looking for LED or Laser contrasted models even 1080P extreme contrasted projector will look better than these.
      My personal list is
Viewsonic X1 4K (long Throw LED)
Viewsonic X2 4K (short throw version)
      Viewsonic LS610 HD (FullHD LED)
Benq LU710 (FullHD 4000 Lumrn Laser)
Optoma ZH403 (Fullhd 4000 lumen laser)
Last in this list Epson EH-TW6250
4K Bulb 2800 because this is newer model and again 1.6X zoom (if there is a zoom need)
I am goingto buy and try 720P LED viewsonic LS300W 3000 Ansilumen LED with %125 Rec 709 and good contrast then if I am happy with results I will look for 4K models later .
Because 720P is very cheap consider Fullhd version it is worth the shot of testing for channel.

if you have speakers that is good because it does not has any speaker for some people TW7100 or TW6250 might be alternatives

Thanks for the great review. I'm looking to go big for the movie nights (movies only in light controlled dark cinema.room)
    Currently have LG 65"C1 OLED
My budget is max ~1000€ , but that includes some screen I still need to buy
    Currently, I can get
Epson EH-TW7000, almost new for 600e
    Epson EH-TW6150, new, ~900e
LG UH80KSW CineBeam, almost new ~800€
I'm looking to get 100" screen
Max 4m distance to the screen
PICTURE QUALITY IS THE TOP PRIORITY
The projector will be connected to Sony HT7000 soundbar and Nvidia Shield PRO
Which of the above could you recommend, I'm thinking about LG as its laser and contrast ratio is 150,000:1
What "budget" screen would you recommend?
As this is for dark room, I'm thinking also that the screen would have to have gain ~0.8 and be grey.... is this a good path?
All the above projectors are quite bright hence that 0.8 gain
    Thanks

@@marc202i thank you for your support and good detailed question.
I would not go second hand epson if you have the budget like 1000€
Led or Laser models will give you extreme contrast.
LG is getting old by design and it is very big.
I've just bought Viewsonic X2 4K short throw it is around 1500$ but long throw model Viewsonic X1 4K is 1000$
      www.viewsonic.com/global/products/projectors/X1-4K
You should take a look and
You can consider Viewsonic LS550 it is 720P but very short throw extreme bright and contrasted model
For the screen we can talk again once you consider these options 😊
ruclips.net/video/3tzfPPG3guQ/видео.htmlsi=eOGpVsq2dw9IljYT video shows 720P Viewsonic PA503W with 20.000:1 dynamic contrast that is why I am
www.viewsonic.com/me/products/projectors/LS550WHE I bought one for myself before my new 4K X2 and I loved it but it was a opend box product and broken after 40min of use so I guess it was a return product to a seller I really loved image quality and contrast 0.49 throw ratio was superb if you can find it around 500-600$ range than you will have budget for ALR Screen
