I think during the quiet room and noisy room tests that the Nothing Ear Stick was clearly superior over the AirPods. I preferred the AirPods during the music test though. So I would if you want them for calls get the sticks, if you want them for music then get the AirPods
Indeed in this video the sound of the Nothing Sticks is not great, on the other hand, the microphones in phone calls in a noisy environment are much better than those of the Airpods 3. You really have to at some point stop wanting to convince yourself that Airpods have the best mic in phone calls 🙏🏽
I really just want these for work, last time I had a pair of earbuds I had them on one of those cases with a carabiner and when I got home my left earbud was nowhere to be found, I guess “Nothing” is better than nothing

Hi, thanks for the vid it's pretty clear that you know what you're talking about. Do you have any suggestion (besides airpods-) on other non-in ear earbuds that both sound great and have a great mic for phone calls?
@@aaronloudnwireless I've just seen the price, they're like 50€ I thought we were talking about high end stuff like 150€ min. Wow and you think that they're comparable to the Airpods? At the moment I'm using Xiaomi true wireless 2s and they're quite good besides the volume which in my opinion is too low
Hi my friend. Lovely review as always. I didn't enjoy the NOthing ear 1. Too many dropouts and problems. And I am certainly not going to get open earbuds. They are not for me. By the way, you should try the LG earbuds. I would love to see a review from them. All the best!!!!
Are there any earbuds that are like "wearing Nothing"? Basically asking about earbuds you can sleep with or even watch a movie while laying on your side on the couch? (so a pillow won't cause a 'jamming the earpod into your head pain')
Wow. What your ears suffer here is not only bad mids but also extremely boosted highs. This massive huge peak around 3KHz is just completely off and makes it sound hollow and weird. Mainstream tuning in general comes with v-shaped sound signature but no standard EQ could compensate this crap. Who the hell is responsible for such a insane tuning? Such people would be good torturers in the secret service. Thank you Aaron for another honest review whats priceless these days. 🙏
@@MelloHubb I wish I could find some neutral adjusted TWS with flat frequency response. It's easy to boost some certain frequencies slightly to get your own personal target. But it's impossible to correct a frequency response with some strange dips and peaks with presets or some standard 6 or 10 band in app graphic EQ. To iron such rollercoaster response you'll need a 31 band parametric EQ with slope adjustment like that one in the poweramp app. But if you're IOS user and you mostly stream from Deezer or others you're simply lost with such a weird sound setting. I'm certainly not stingy or petty, but we're not talking about the budget sector here, and even there you can get an EarFun Free Pro 2 or AIR Pro for 70 €/$, which come without fancy twist case and transparent buds, but are sonically on top. I mean here we are talking about 120 € / $, so I have to work for so much money. Only the runtime seems to be first class at the stick, apart from that they are just grossly overpriced.
@@AMIGA79 Btw I have 7 pairs of semi open earbuds from several companies. These do sound pretty bad from sound test. Super thin and sound way too sharp at times. That being said out of all the semi open ear earbuds I own I would say check out the soundpeats air 3 deluxe or air 2. They have garbage battery life for me around 4 hours but the mics are better than my airpods pros and they sound amazing. I use them for working out and they are loud af with no distortion. Also my Galaxy buds live are good but they aren't as detailed.👍
@@jcap8391 thank you for this information! My problem is this "one size fits all" concept absolutely does not work for me. Few years ago when EarPods came out I thought my ears are abnormal. The point is the fit pretty well but even with small movements they fall out. Point for me is I need "seal" to get the full sound. I prefer Buds with standard size nozzle what allows me to use exchangeable tips (I mostly use 3rd party tips from the Sennheiser Xelento). Best scenario for me is strong holding buds with a good transparency mode. (NC makes sense on lawn mowing but not in everyday situations). I don't say those semi open system is bad in general but just for my elephant ears. In the middle 90s I had AIWA and Sony Walkman with pretty non- ergonomic EarPhones with round buds but the were covered by foam pads so the they sealed reasonably well in the ear. My daughter uses AirPods and she's pleased with it but it's probably because she has normal ears... 🤭🤷🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️
I thought like others the call sound was way better than Apples. You need to listen again lol! Apples sound distant and high frequency. Be interested in how you recorded the music - ie did you just stick them up against a mic as that will never ever work right 100%. I’ve seen a quite few reviews that say they are quite good in sound, but nothing like the ‘tinny sound’ you made them out. I’m sure another reviewer would have said something as they sounded terrible in yours. UPDATE: Due to good reviews on other RUclips channels I went ahead and purchased the Nothing Sticks and guess what? I was right in they sound absolutely NOTHING (pun intended) like in this video. I suggest you invest in quality recording gear before making such a bad sounding comparison. I guessing you’ll get nothing from Nothing in the future now lol!
