I have always had a soft spot for El DeBarge, and the DeBarge Family. So blessed with talent. He was performing at Bal Theatre some years ago. I bought a plane ticket, flew from San Diego to Oakland, took a Lyft to Hayward to the rented a hotel room for the night and paid for front row tickets (great seating there!). He's an excellent performer...that night they said he wasn't feeling well. The only damper was that the meet & greet was cancelled. A couple of mos. later, he came to Music Box in San Diego. I went to see him, and I was not disappointed. He was singing in my direction...Wow. I definitely will try to see him perform again. Great stage presence!

Also last night I finished watching the Bobby DeBarge story. Sad story, it seems that Bobby DeBarge couldn't catch a moment of peace due to his tormented childhood brought on by his father. Note to parents you're a big influence in your children's life. Whether you know it or not.
