That's Okay was released on the day of his enlistment. He wrote the lyrics himself (he's also the vocal director of the song). This song is his gift not only for fans but also for EXO members. D.O. used to have cactus in the EXO dorm and he gave the members name to each cactus. Cactus symbolizes endurance and strength in times of adversities they survive even when it seems impossible. EXO they been through a lot and they give strength to each other.
D.O personally wtote "that's okay" before he enlisted in the military. He does the background music and he also participated in the animation of this music video. Fanfact: Back in the trainee days D.O use to grow a cactus and even have one for each in every members of EXO. The lyrics is what he really feel for those he spend years with exo and exo-l's. So I plan this to be a really extent comment, take a sit and drink water while I do my thing here. First of all, Efra's voice... The song is really good and the words are insane! Haha •EXO-SC is a subunit that was created and suggested by Sehun and Chanyeol together. They have similar goals to achieve in terms of music and have and incredible chemistry as friends. Actually 1 Billion views is their first Full album, What a life was his debut album and it was a mini album. Also this entire album was produced all by Chanyeol's studio "Studio 519" (he also has studio NNG along with rapper and producer MQ and they run a RUclips account for this one). And yes, they were completely involved in the producing, writing and arranging of the whole album. The title track for 1BV is coming out this Monday 13 July (along with the whole album) and has a retro vibe! •I don't think we will have a MV for Lay's BOOM, it is a pre-released single for the upcoming second half of his album that, as we can see, is centered in the modern an actual music in contrast with LIT. (Also for lit he did a pre-release song too called Jade, I can't remember now if you already listened to it) we don't have a date for the release of the album yet. EXO was one of the first kpop groups I listent and liked even time later I realized they were EXO. I choose EXO as my favorite because they have such great voces all of combine so well. Their dances catch me they dances are amazing they have such a talented people. Another think is that have tried so many types of music, generes, styles and sound great besides that the different languages they had sang and are great.
D.O himself wrote the lyrics for "That's okay" and took part in absolutely everything that concerns this song. It is a gift for fans that he gave before leaving for the army. But in the end, "That's okay" broke more than one record and showed tremendous results on all platforms, tops, and charts. It is loved by absolutely everyone who is not even a fan of EXO or K-POP. All the idols and solo artists in Korea are especially fond of her they constantly mention her and also make covers. D.O's sweet voice plus healing lyrics made "That's okay" the Queen of R&B. D.O put a piece of his soul into this masterpiece no wonder it is so popular.

This was so fun to watch. Chen's cover gave me goosebumps...again. I miss him so much almost as much as I miss Kyungsoo. Having a brand new EXO-SC album in the mean time definitely helps.
One thing that may have helped about Chen and Baekhyun understanding each other really well ( in order to harmonize as well) is that they literally grew in their careers together. They were right next in line to each other at the audition, cheered each other on, went in with another person to sing the same exact same TVXQ song’s line, passed, and the rest is history. Lay actually debuted as an actor in China at the age of 6 ...ikr... crazy right. He later on joined a singing show in China when he was 12 and became #3 in that show .He joined SM in 2008 after passing the SM audition . Oh you became an EXO fan due to the One and Only dance. They did that first in their concerts as an outro to the song One and Only, performed by all the members. It's actually more beautiful in the concert because the stage is set up to give this ethereal/magical feel, plus Lay was with them so it was a trio dance. I think this Gayo Daejun one lacks the key stage effect that I don't want to spoil lol. Hope you can watch that one!

You were wondering about Lay's training. He officially became a trainee in South Korea when he was 16/17. He was one of the winners of the global audition in China and he trained for 5 years before being chosen for EXO. As far as his previous years in China, he actually started his career as a child actor and then began to sing on live TV shows. He was part of a televised talent show/singing competition that really pushed him to prominence called Star Academy. His goal was to be a proper singer and artist and his own idol JJ Lin recommended he leave China to get proper training, of course this eventually led to him leaving to South Korea with SM Entertainment to train. By the time he became a trainee he actually had an established fan base in China due to his active career beforehand. His passion for music came from his parents. His father is a musician himself and his mom loved Michael Jackson so much he grew up listening to him. Although he was mostly raised by his grandparents they were very supportive of his passion and actively supported him and he actually attended a specialized performing arts school up until he left China. I hope this gives you some insight into Lay 😊

That's Okay is like my favorite EXO song of ALL time. The whole thing was written so beautifully, there's a Korean professor that did a review about it and that can help you guys understand it better. The thing is, the lyrics aren't that accurate, because it's a very lyric-driven song. There are sentences that bleed into each other in single lines, and most foreign translators have difficulty finding the end to one sentence and the start of the next. One thing that we can be certain of, I think, is that it is NOT a romantic love song. It's more about how D.O. and all of us move through life. We make so many choices, we experience so many emotions, not all of them are positive, but you don't have to brush them away or be afraid of confronting them. The ending lines enumerate the life experiences, and then pretty much say don't worry because time will eventually wash things away, as it always has. It's a comforting song. EXO members write the most touching lyrics for ballads and love songs. I hope you do a part 2 hehe, i love EXO's individual, duo, trio stuff! Because with various member combination they're able to do so many different things, but good vocals = core.

•EXO-SC is a subunit that was created and suggested by Sehun and Chanyeol together. They have similar goals to achieve in terms of music and have and incredible chemistry as friends. Actually 1 Billion views is their first Full album, What a life was his debut album and it was a mini album. Also this entire album was produced all by Chanyeol's studio "Studio 519" (he also has studio NNG along with rapper and producer MQ and they run a RUclips account for this one). And yes, they were completely involved in the producing, writing and arranging of the whole album. The title track for 1BV is coming out this Monday 13 July (along with the whole album) and has a retro vibe!
•I don't think we will have a MV for Lay's BOOM, it is a pre-released single for the upcoming second half of his album that, as we can see, is centered in the modern an actual music in contrast with LIT. (Also for lit he did a pre-release song too called Jade, I can't remember now if you already listened to it) we don't have a date for the release of the album yet. Also as you were wondering about how he keeps improving and making new stuff, this year he participated as a contestant in a Chinese program called "I'm a singer songwriter 2 (CZR2)" the point of this show was to create a song for each episode and performance it against another contestant, just to tell you he wrote 8-9 songs (I believe) and composed them and also took part in all the arranging. Also D.O took part in writing and also the background and support vocals for harmonization are made by himself too. So we literally hear only D.O's voice in the whole song.
•Kokobop (I just have to say, why people are so mad with Baek's mullet? Is not that bad? He doesn't even look bad, I can't understand) the concept here, bringing a theory I read a while ago it could be that it happens right before the Red Force capture them (Monster MV) to make experiments with them (Lucky one music video) (as they are aliens) and Kokobop is when they are anesthetized (in drugs lol) by the enemy. So Kokobop is where they are while being unconscious.
•As for the last performance you reacted to... Yeah not much to say, just maybe add that we also have Sehun, Kai and Lay dancing (dance line) the same song and making the same performance in EXO's concerts. (And also Sehun and Lay only due that Kai had a ankle injury in that time, also, oh man, we have a solo Sehun making this performance too due to Kai's injury and Lay absence because China vs Korea)

EXO was one of the first kpop groups I listent and liked even time later I realized they were EXO. I choose EXO as my favorite because they have such great voces all of combine so well. Their dances catch me they dances are amazing they have such a talented people. This was so fun to watch. Chen's cover gave me goosebumps...again. I miss him so much almost as much as I miss Kyungsoo. Having a brand new EXO-SC album in the mean time definitely helps.
One thing that may have helped about Chen and Baekhyun understanding each other really well ( in order to harmonize as well) is that they literally grew in their careers together. They were right next in line to each other at the audition, cheered each other on, went in with another person to sing the same exact same TVXQ song’s line, passed, and the rest is history. Recs for performances to watch would be EXO-CBX Magical Circus concert (live band!!) and Chen Heart4U busking.

Lay actually debuted as an actor in China at the age of 6 ...ikr... crazy right. He later on joined a singing show in China when he was 12 and became #3 in that show .He joined SM in 2008 after passing the SM audition . I can say most of his training part was in Korea since they train you in almost all fields of the entertainment industry in depth plus the chinese idol industry wasnt really a thing till 2010 and China really has a prejudice against idols thats why lay really works hard to end that and shine a new light on idols being as talented as other artist, Lay still gets looked down upon for example he had a show in May where they had tons of well known chinese producers and many of them didnt think he was a good producer just because he is an idol but at the end of the show his team won and one of his songs from the show went viral on tiktok . its called Joker .

Oh you became an EXO fan due to the One and Only dance. They did that first in their concerts as an outro to the song One and Only, performed by all the members. It's actually more beautiful in the concert because the stage is set up to give this ethereal/magical feel, plus Lay was with them so it was a trio dance. You were wondering about Lay's training. He officially became a trainee in South Korea when he was 16/17. He was one of the winners of the global audition in China and he trained for 5 years before being chosen for EXO. As far as his previous years in China, he actually started his career as a child actor and then began to sing on live TV shows. He was part of a televised talent show/singing competition that really pushed him to prominence called Star Academy. His goal was to be a proper singer and artist and his own idol JJ Lin recommended he leave China to get proper training, of course this eventually led to him leaving to South Korea with SM Entertainment to train. By the time he became a trainee he actually had an established fan base in China due to his active career beforehand. His passion for music came from his parents. His father is a musician himself and his mom loved Michael Jackson so much he grew up listening to him. Although he was mostly raised by his grandparents they were very supportive of his passion and actively supported him and he actually attended a specialized performing arts school up until he left China. I hope this gives you some insight into Lay 😊

That's Okay is like my favorite EXO song of ALL time. The whole thing was written so beautifully, there's a Korean professor that did a review about it and that can help you guys understand it better. The thing is, the lyrics aren't that accurate, because it's a very lyric-driven song. There are sentences that bleed into each other in single lines, and most foreign translators have difficulty finding the end to one sentence and the start of the next. One thing that we can be certain of, I think, is that it is NOT a romantic love song. It's more about how D.O. and all of us move through life. We make so many choices, we experience so many emotions, not all of them are positive, but you don't have to brush them away or be afraid of confronting them. The ending lines enumerate the life experiences, and then pretty much say don't worry because time will eventually wash things away, as it always has. It's a comforting song.
EXO members write the most touching lyrics for ballads and love songs. I hope you do a part 2 hehe, i love EXO's individual, duo, trio stuff! Because with various member combination they're able to do so many different things, but good vocals = core.
