We’re very fortunate these days to have such widely accepted representations available with Skam, Victor, Young Royals and Heartstopper now that this subject matter returns a healthy profit for Netflix. I think it’s a valuable trend for young people’s mental health and great entertainment for us more mature audiences
I know right, sir! I'm 14, a young queer person who accepted herself but well, others might not And this show is just a confort and a hug every young queer person needs, and every queer person any age can relate to it, because, at the end we're all living in the same cruel world and we have all been trough the same thing at least once in our lives. This show and similar ones might be a literal lifesaver for some people and, to make a show like that is such a huge accomplishment someone can make, we salute the writer and everyone else involved :) Lots of love to you sir and anyone else reading this, It feels good to have you guys :)
I love the representation in this show. Especially the bi representation, usually in media characters are always straight or gay, bi people don't seem to exist and as a bisexual myself it feels great to be acknowledged
I've watched it at least 9 times as a gay girl myself. I understand how charlie felt holding himself back. Doubting Nick's feelings. Happened to me with a girl that I liked. It was quite hard for me to figure out she was bi and liked me. We broke up though. I don't feel bad about it because she was so toxic at the end.
I love how Charlie fell first and fast but Nick fell slow and hard over time. And one guy made him completely question his sexuality. Omg can’t wait for season 2 hopefully we don’t have to wait to long.
So.....Heartstopper is a guidebook on how to fall in love. Charlie and Nick are so perfect for each other. Perhaps these idyllic behaviors can be adopted by those looking for a relationship. Or is that just a dream?
Before I watched this I never ever thought about what kinda my dreams partner should be but after watching this now I know what kind person I wanted in my life and it's like nick characters. you know why, because he is nice with his partner and he cares his partner's feeling more than others people's opinions. and he is also very caring and loving.
Omg I just binged watched it yesterday from midnight to 6am with with my mates and it was amazing just brought back some memories back when I was a gay teen and went through something similar 20 yrs ago lol can't wait to see series 2 ASAP plz av become obsessed with the show

After finishing the books rewatched it and loved it even more! After having read the books I can see small hints towards a certain big plot point in books 3 & 4 Can't wait to see the school Paris trip!
