He did fine, I had so many great times listening to him on mainstream radio in the back of the car when I was a child. I thank this guy for those memories. What he never did was sell out or water down his own personal way of being for success.
After my dad was diagnosed with a terminal disease, he and I took a special trip into New York City. I bought this album at Virgin Mega Store on that trip.
I’ve just lost my mum , she was far too young and beautiful . This is my childhood . My mum cooking us tea and David Gray playing in the kitchen . Her funeral is next Friday and at the moment David Gray is keeping me going through my quiet and sad times 💙 I love you mum xxxxxx

There is indeed light in this world. Don’t stop seeking it out. Be the light. And share it with others no matter how dark it may seem in your world. You are loved ❤❤❤
That’s so so so spot on. I listened to this album on repeat as my brother and I drove through Scotland on a long golf trip. Now I listen and I am back in that car…just he and I again. Laughter and tears at the same time. How I miss him. DG was his favorite artist…just glad we got to see him live a couple of times together. I hope the memories and feelings you get from listening are as happy as the times we had when we did.
My little girl loved listening David Gray whilst she was in my tummy. This one being her favourite, she would kick like mad. At 3 years old she got diagnosed with autism. Nearly 4 years on she still listens to his music to fall asleep to. My little Noah-Reese❤
I remember these lyrics! But I remember part of the "Every time I look at you" line cut out in the thirty-second preview of this song that was included in MusicMatch Jukebox when I first listened to it on my HP Pavilion 710 CTO PC in 2002, which I used to have until 2004.
This song reminds me of growing up with my Dad, a single parent, how well he done!! and songs like this help me cherish those times that much more. I love you Dad ❤️ every day with you is another happy memory 💕

Found this CD in a car that was wrecked.. hit eject and out came this masterpiece.. that was 2000… still listening to it today.. and loving every minute of it.

I've been looking for this song for years... Never remembered more than a couple words from first listening. I broke down crying when I heard it again. Thank you.
The day I wrote this comment, was the first time in many, many years since I listened to it. Managed to listen to it, I should say really. And you know what? It was good. Throw a stone
And watch the ripples flow
Moving out across the bay
Like a stone I fall into your eyes
Deep into that mystery, ah
Deep into some mystery
I got half a mind
To scream out loud
I got half a mind to die
So I will never have to
Lose you girl
Won't ever have to say goodbye
I won't ever have to lie
Won't ever have to say goodbye
Whoa I

Timeless David, to everyone who broke up in 2000, you broke us all again! 20 years later this makes me smile warmly. You are a giant. One of life's enduring tracks. Thank
you
I take this music with me on my boat. I just love this song on the water.
Whole album of really great music. One of my favourites. ❤
Love the way this song ends
Fab song thanks David Cray 💖
I have just decided to play the album White Ladder.... played it to death when it first came out, OMG.... Still love it & singing & dancing to it. Amazing
Thank you 💖💖💖
This album was one you could put the CD in and just let it run. Can't tell how many hours of gaming I spent on the Wii with this beautiful stuff in my ears.
