Just one little thing, which might I want to clarify. "The little rubber thing for extra protection" is a Silicone seel to trap the air in between the liner and the shaft, so that there is a vacuum. That vacuum is keeping the prosthetic on there.

I'm going to lose my feet due to neuropathy at some point. Already have reduced/overactive sensation and numbness that lasts minutes at times. I hope I can get me some prosthesis like that
@@TJUC123 Here 'try' implies that the accidental attempt was unsuccessful (of course in this case it's obvious). In some cases removing that 'try' implies that the tried thing even when done accidentally was done fully (or/and successfully). :)
i don't think it'd be a good idea, with a suction socket i feel like it would effect the seal with a pin locking socket I'd worry it'd gum up the mechanics of the lock.

For some reason, I always thought that they had a bolt in your stump and then you just put a bolt through it and then you would be in constant pain as you walk and then it would shove the socket up in your stump
I mean I used to do that for my robotic characters that used to be human but it's because uh... their bodies are made out of fucking metal there is no pain receptors
My great grandfather had a prosthetic leg and he would always tell us about the time that he was bowling and his leg spun around so that his foot was backwards. A lady screamed and fainted because she couldn’t he was wearing pants and she couldn’t see that it wasn’t his real leg 😂
