RRHOF is kinda a joke to be honest tho. Yes its an honor and something to be proud of but doesnt really matter at the same time. There are a whole bunch of other bands that should and could be in there but they're not and it doesn't really matter. I believe The Elevators music will always be around and we don't need to put them on a pedastal like the HOF to prove their worth.
Years ago I used to go cycling with a guy and his girlfriend. He was not from this area so I sort of showed him the sights. Particularly an old Velodrome in a park left-over from back when competitive cycling was as big a deal then as Hockey and other such things are now. At one point we were discussing favorite tunes from back in the days of our misspent youths. He mentioned this tune/group. I'd never heard of 'em and, frankly, I thought he just made something up to see if I'd respond "oh yeah they were the best" or something to that effect. Maybe this was never played on the radio in this market but was where he grew up or something. It's quite thought-provoking. It makes me sorry I never heard it earlier. Hey Dave, wherever you are now, sorry for thinking you were just pranking/testing me.
The version of this song is off of the album they were supposed to release untill the govt arrested rocky and threw him away. the album that was unreleased was called " A love thats Sound"

yes. the track is from a "lost" and unfinished third LP, like other 5 tracks from this lost album ended up on bull of the woods, some were re-recorded and others were just over dubbed, like Dr Doom. .
you can thank the person who re-arranged the track listings on the album, and remastered it into stereo. Mono is how they sound. If you havent heard it, than im sorry for you.
I don't need a suit of adamantium to fuck around and destroy lives. I'm already Dr Doom with my regular human bones. Batman is just a guy, but he's formidable. All he has to do is be able to kick your ass. I think that's within the realm of possibility. We may need some cryptonite depending on who we're talking about, but we all have our weaknesses. I think Batman and Daredevil are about on par with each other. Theyre just a guy, but they're a little madder at the world than most of us. One guy got blinded while his dad died in front of him, and that's more or less what happened to me.(I saw my father die In front of me but I didnt get powers).
Anyone know what the story of this song is. I think it's about someone going by dr Doom who was writing a paper for a psychology class in school and dropped acid and wrote down what he could. Hence " you left some empty. I hope your feeling better
I think I read somewhere that it was about Bob Dylan, and connected somehow to their cover of "It's all over know baby blue". But I cannot find the reference anymore - if it ever existed outside my mind.
Lyric check? (not like you can reason out the unreasonable): Dear Doctor Doom, I read your recent letter You've left some room, I hope you're feeling better Noble hearts decision, (something) -lys the future (hindborn lies the future?) (no way that says "pinecone lies the future, that's silly) You refer to freedoms, body mind and soul Love's immersing chalice is the light fantastic Helping link the rumors of the moré bold Double funnel final each mind in its middle One in this existence from the other folds Beginning no end, alpha no omega Two mouths one voice still appears Two mouths one voice still appears We won’t join in sameness, we are each one different We won’t join in oneness when we're each one whole We'll be like in feeling, being of the spirit Housed in body crystals, ever always soul We’ll be right beside, all we’ve been is beauty (just "beside" or "beside you/him"?) All will be in union from our life unfolds (oh hold? what?) Beginning no end, alpha no omega Two mouths one voice still appears Two mouths one voice still appears Dear Dr. Doom, read your recent letter…. Know you can't make Heaven In the East Nirvana, But you can make certain That the ghost is there And the always-presence You have found within you Is the same in heaven Fully made aware Sooner seen past watching, Sooner heard past listening, Soon as said past talking, From yours anywhere ,,, (?) Dear Dr. Doom……
I always hear it as "pinecone", but I think it might be "mindful lies the future". The pineal gland is famously shaped like a pinecone, however. I wouldn't put it past a psychedelic band like the Elevators to come up with that line.

The problem with the Elevators in my opinion is they often were recorded with two tin cans and a piece of string. At least it sound like it, imagine if they had a good studio and real engineers and producers? This is actually recorded pretty well, thank god. The first record is awesome, but recorded so poorly. They got shafted by everyone.
the record engineer says something like "in this one the stands stays higher becuasue you have that one (referring to Mics) and Roky is like "oh, i see."
Will anyone else admit they’ve always hated the jug? Not all that fond of T. Hall’s lyrics either. But, my oh my, can these guys play!!! I’ve loved it all since AM radio in 1966, all except for Tommy.
Well it's great but even if with the horns put back in, the Namor cartoon messes it up. I have to like close my eyes. Like being on DMT at a damn county fair or something.
I found this band today and what a great band
The Elevators should be in the RRHOF. They were unique and revolutionary
The most important acid rock band

@@ervbefelnareik7604 the whole concept of a HOF is an anathema to real music that counts.
I've been thinking that same thing lately
Roky died today. Rip... things sometimes end on a sad note.
But what a life. What a man. There will never be his like again. He finally went fully cosmic.
Slightly Byrdesque here, great song, Bye R.E.! good travel in the universe and THANKS !
this one is by far my fav version of this incredible song, rip Roky.
yeah, no horns! This is a true deep cut.
Me gusta tu username igual aqui 🤣🤘
Love the melody on this sing.

Lovely stuff, brilliant track.
I kind of like with the horns better though this is still very good, one of the elevators' best song.

Masterpiece

@TheForkedtoungue yeah, they got screwed by International Artists, their label
And record label !
Почему я не знал их раньше ?!
Sounds so much better without the crappy horns...
We should just ask Roky.
ask what? : O

What does he say at the beginning
