In my humble opinion, Ardyn is the best villain in the entire Final Fantasy franchise, he is manipulative, calculating, has great charisma, is sarcastic and has a terrible and sad past that makes you sympathize with him. Not to mention the fact that from minute 1 of the game he could´ve kill the protagonist without any problem if he wanted, and even when we faced Ardyn as the final boss at the end of the game, he was holding back with Noctis, in order to fulfill his goal of being able to finally die but also to kill the descendant of his treacherous brother and end his bloodline. A villain who had the upper hand from the beginning to the end of the game and in the end he won. The best villain in my opinion
Ardyn had great potential, but was held back by the game he was in. And then his DLC ruined the context of a lot of what I liked about him. In my opinion, the best FF villain is Emet-Selch from XIV. He has everything that initially drew me to Ardyn, but he's in a much better written story, so the execution and payoff actually work.
@@chrisjr6214hardly. The novels are an alternate ending , made years later after the game had ended , under the premise of making a happy ending for Noctis and Ardyn due to their popularity. By your metric , Tidus and Yuna broke up in FFX , with Tidus idiotically dying by kicking a mine as if it was a blitzball. It’s canon , afterall it was released as a JPN-Only Audio Book
The composers for this DLC were Kenji Hiramatsu and Taku Iwasaki, this is 100% Hiramatsu, who writes basically all the hardest battle themes in Xenoblade (YWKON and its relatives, Mechanical Rhythm, Still Move Forward, Torna, Future Connected and many more).

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the novels that came out after FFXV reveal that Noctis was able to survive that night.

This sounds a lot like a Xenoblade battle theme.
