Well a 7 isn’t bad but I give it a 9. I enjoyed the nothankyou cover quite a bit and really though the 99Jakes cut was a really great answer to the vocal trance original. Also yeah the Tommy Cash Hannah Diamond is literally the best track and I’ve had it on repeat.
Eh, just disagreeing, which I know is asking for trouble on this platform due to the hypersensitivity of people. But I thought NoThankYou had the worst song on the album, it just sounded so lifeless and random with all of its glitches and distortion being put on full blast. 99jakes was ok though, I though he could've added a bit more to the track.
While I understand not talking about came to my show or toothless because they aren't technically remixes on this remix centric album I do think it's a bit of a bummer not to mention them, I feel not only are they two powerhouse tracks but the mastering and finishing touches REALLY sell them to me on this album.

Nice review Anthony! I'll say my favorite remixes were Gec 2 U with Dorian Electra, Stupid Horse with GFOTY, hand crushed by a mallet with Fall out Boy, Ringtone with Charli & Kero Kero Bonito, and I_Wud_Nvrstop with Hannah Diamond.
Anthony mentioning Craig Owens made me realize he hasn't talked much about that scene or era. That I'm aware of at least. I'd be interested in hearing some of his thoughts on Chiodos, The Fall of Troy, Coheed and Cambria, The Mars Volta, etc.
The FOB/Craig/Nicole & Black Dresses remixes on this album are definitely my favorites. Overall most of the remixes on here do a nice job on adding onto the original songs. Great remix album!
Dorian I think is the stand out performance from this album. That fucking track is killer and just fun and insanely sensual. Craig Owens also gives a great moment that really makes me miss those high energy emo pop-punk days. Black Dresses I think went full rabid honey badger with it and that what I wanted.
First remixes album I've enjoyed (of those I've been exposed to, I don't exactly go looking for them since they typically kinda blow). The remix versions of hand crushed by a mallet (FOB), gec2u (Dorian), xxXi_wud_nvrstop_uXxx (Cash, Diamond), and ringtone (Charli, Bonito, Rico) imo surpass the originals (though xxXi_wud_nvrstop_uXxx is the only one that I feel is supplanted by its remix) and I enjoy toothless quite a bit. My anti-gec/gec-skeptic (gecptic?) girlfriend is a 2000s pop punk fan, so the hand crushed by a mallet remix has started warming her up to the gec (she started liking Dorian's gec2u, the ringtone remix, and sings along to money machine now when before she hated them about as much as she despises Lingua Ignota [which is a lot, every time LI comes up on a playlist she yells 'NO!', snatches my phone and skips it]).
To anyone who’s angry that this album got a *7/10* just remember that you can, like Gecs, increase the number of something by 10, so now this album can be a *70/10.*
I think if Fall Out Boy wants to move in a pop direction, they should get Laura and Dylan to produce their stuff, this remix has more energy than anything I've heard from the group in years.

Anthony mentioning Craig Owens made me realize he hasn't talked much about that scene or era. That I'm aware of at least. I'd be interested in hearing some of his thoughts on Chiodos, The Fall of Troy, Coheed and Cambria, The Mars Volta, etc.

The FOB/Craig/Nicole & Black Dresses remixes on this album are definitely my favorites. Overall most of the remixes on here do a nice job on adding onto the original songs. Great remix album!
Dorian I think is the stand out performance from this album. That fucking track is killer and just fun and insanely sensual. Craig Owens also gives a great moment that really makes me miss those high energy emo pop-punk days. Black Dresses I think went full rabid honey badger with it and that what I wanted.
I'm not sure you can refuse to review the album just because you find the cover art 'scary', Anthony.
First remixes album I've enjoyed (of those I've been exposed to, I don't exactly go looking for them since they typically kinda blow). The remix versions of hand crushed by a mallet (FOB), gec2u (Dorian), xxXi_wud_nvrstop_uXxx (Cash, Diamond), and ringtone (Charli, Bonito, Rico) imo surpass the originals (though xxXi_wud_nvrstop_uXxx is the only one that I feel is supplanted by its remix) and I enjoy toothless quite a bit. My anti-gec/gec-skeptic (gecptic?) girlfriend is a 2000s pop punk fan, so the hand crushed by a mallet remix has started warming her up to the gec (she started liking Dorian's gec2u, the ringtone remix, and sings along to money machine now when before she hated them about as much as she despises Lingua Ignota [which is a lot, every time LI comes up on a playlist she yells 'NO!', snatches my phone and skips it]).
Lingua is quite intimidating. I could understand the visceral dislike lmao
