As someone with ADHD, I can say people often forget about the executive dysfunction and rejection sensitivity part of ADHD.
I can literally sit in an empty room and my brain will distract itself by making shit up. So yeah, just concentrate more is useless 😂
He has no idea what adhd is and just takes the name of the condition as a literal description. I mean he has a masterclass on manipulation and doesn’t even know what manipulation means so clearly research ain’t his strong suit lol
Also hey! Adhd fam here and it’s a struggle but finding a routine that you can try to establish (small steps) can help a bit, least does for me, and I get other people to try and help remind me of it and identify what stimulations are the biggest issues for me etc. Idk if that’ll help but good luck
Another ADHD boy here, and I can confirm. As long as I still have my dumb brain I w i l l find a way to be distracted. It's not because I want to be, it's because I literally can't control myself.

Thank you so much for the tips! Luckily I'm in therapy so I'm currently developing a strategy to deal with everything. Sadly I don't really have someone who can develop a routine with me as my whole family as well as my closest friends have ADHD so we all got pretty fucked up routines 😅

I have _never_ thought of putting _effort_ into things a day in my life, but with your help, I think I'm having an epiphany. I guess my lack of attentiveness, hyperactivity, and executive dysfunction really _was_ just all my fault, and all I need to do is _try_ _harder._ Now I'm positive that when I encounter inevitable failure to "fix" my condition, blaming myself for every failure will most definitely NOT be detrimental to my self-esteem. So grateful to have a wonderful, unlicensed psychology teacher on my side, who is definitely not trying to manipulate me! Thanks!!

damn, i thought my depressive episodes were a product of reuptake of neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine, and etc. causing my neurons to send and receive incomplete chemical messages, therefore creating a chemical imbalance and fucking with my brain a bit. turns out i just didn't understand myself...
I get so irritated when he says that manipulate just means to influence someone because it doesn't. Just because they mean the same thing, doesn't mean they are interchangable. It's like the inexpensive vs cheap thing:
Inexpensive means that it has a low price.
Cheap means that it has a low price AND poor quality
Influence means to convince someone to do something.
Manipulate means to convince some one to do something unfairly or with malicious intent.
